Good morning! Unusual morning, woke up to thunder and rain .9" and still lightly raining, simply wonderful. 71˚F with high only in the upper 80s.

My final mowing plans will have to be delayed to this evening.

The room is painted. BUT it still looked blue. My wife claimed it is haunted. Then I remembered I had put Costco lights in the room and they were adjustable, from a yellowish to a bright white. I had put them on the highest setting which is like hospital bright white. So I took them out and put them on the lowest setting and the room turned to a "natural linen" color, kind of an ivory off white. Just need to put all the faceplates back on and get a rug hang a few pictures and then call the room complete.

Still raining lightly we are up to .9" for this morning, Yesterday evening we had a surprise .2" shower, all is good! I think the best part of the pool is seeing the rain hit the water.

I tried that last winter and the wind tore up the tarp pretty badly. The BH is such an odd shape it was hard for me to adequately secure it. How do you do yours, Bill?
I've got a tarp that is longer than it is wide and anchor one end at the control panel and wrap it around the boom and stick in one wrap and anchor that on the other side of the control panel. Then run bungie cords (the good ones) around the boom and stick hooking them to themselves. The whole idea being to keep the snow and sun off the hoses. Junior usually does the wrapping up and all I have to do is admire the job he does. This year I will take pictures.

It feels like it is going to rain. rainfall warning is in effect.
The two tom cats went out, they might get a wet surprise. They both absolutely hate rain and at the first clap of thunder all four cats would be in the basement.
The one we just buried wasn't bothered by rain or thunder, she couldn't care less. When she was younger and out in the rain she'd come in looking like a drowned rat. A nice soft cloth we have and dry her off, which by the way she loved and she was good for the day.

Morning all, 67 going to 89 and sunny.
Got discount table cleaned, prepped and painted yesterday. Then went and did some watering and put water in pool as it's down several inches.

Got everything ready for oil changes, will see if it's too hot tonight though.
Could not start generator last night, might need to clean/fix/replace carb as it started with starter fluid. More stuff to fix.

Drew - safe travels on your big adventure. Wonderful you will get to see many TBN people and get to the coast. It will be a wonderful time, enjoy it and take plenty of pictures for us all sitting around back home.

Be well,

thanks Ken and others.
I could say it's a truism that today has arrived...

sweated through one shirt packing rv, sitting trying to dry out in replacement shirt.
took fridge extras over to lady across the street whose SO picks up my mail every three days and she
is old eagle eye. They also got the last of my tomatoes, which looked nice. Definitely kept two for myself.

Don, fascinating the color wavelength of light so easily visible on white walls, makes sense. My office light has three settings, I leave it on bright.
great that with a flip of a switch you solved your problem.
Have to remember when I get up to take office aircleaner with me.
right now it's vying for the thing I forget...

I have plenty of time, will make several walk throughs and another one outside before I go.
I found my little plug in inverter and that will power my compact fridge while traveling. Have to remember to
plug that in. The light was blinking on fridge under automatic setting which usually means it's unhappy with propane supply, often
air in line. Which you flush out by turning on a burner on the stove and letting it run a bit.
light was still flashing when I was done. Oh well. Usually gets its brain back after a while.

adios

84F and mostly cloudy @ 11:45, heading up to around 94F for the day's high. DP 68F, HU 59%, "feels like" temp currently 91F.

Groundhog carcass moved up to the field first thing yesterday.

Checked live trap, still set and un-tripped ... but bait now gone ... 🤬

Made some room in the shop and turned AC on.

Removed bucket and box blade from the Kubota and got it moved inside the shop.

Then spent most of the afternoon going through the refrigerator and cleaning it out.

Removed everything inside except for the items on the door shelves and the stuff in the meat drawer and got it all wiped down and cleaned up. Then put everything back in, in a more organized manner.

Hauled two bags of garbage and the recyclables up to the cans at the road, set out trash can as recyclables don't get picked up until next week.

Hauled a bucket of compostables up to the compost pile and dumped those.

Watered all the inside plants and most of the ones out front as well.

On agenda for today:

Get the right lift cylinder pulled, disassembled, and cleaned up. Start replacing the seals.

Oil pre filter and get it and the replacement air filter installed on the Cub.

Re-bait live trap.

Water indeterminate tomatoes.

Finish clean up of refrigerator.

Maybe prep and freeze some summer squash.

Otherwise see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Tuesday ... (y)

Last night storms came right past us, both sides according to radar. No rain here. No potatoes dug yet today, too hot.

Costco didn’t have any Kirkland water yesterday.

and safe travels is was, getting to Pine Grove PA.
decided to take the byway when I got close to here, up and down a mountain that route 81 goes around. Had to keep my foot in it to keep up speed. Pretty area, gorgeous campground with lots of amenities, including an ice cream shop open tonight

first I need some pills and a nap

Worked on the hydrant and got it fixed and looks like no leaks. The repair kit worked just fine. Glad I had two 24 inch pipe wrenches because that is what it took using my foot to hold back on one and my left arm to pull the other. Also fixed the gland seals on another hydrant.
The neighbor with the new pole building is still working the area with two excavators and two loaders running most of the time. Those back up alarms are annoying. Looks to me like this will be more than a home owner building. At least he has not disturbed the fence line. He may run into trouble with Zoning if he uses this for a business.

93 and sunny in Pine Grove PA and a/c not doing a great job keeping up.
Need to ask for a shaded spot when temps in 90's. Shore power breaker has tripped twice, I turned off the electric hot water heater and then no problems.

worked on tomorrow's trip, headed to Puccini's restaurant in Cumberland Maryland for lunch
going to try to nap again

I worked on my goat flower pot and got it securely stuck to the rv counter.
taking this out to Colorado to relatives who used to have a goat on their Lahaska farm. Used museum putty which works well on solid surface counter. Wanted to take them a memory of Bucks County.

Popgadget's wife got something similar when as a pair from Amazon, the other critter was a llama flower pot. Well it's not a hard stretch to mix up a llama and an alpaca, so Mrs Popgadget got a similar plant.

nice to have something green and living in here.

Good (Wednesday) morning. A blustery overnight Low of 10.1C and it's presently 14.3C, partly sunny at the moment with gusting wind. There was 4.0mm in the gauge @ 0800.

Council Rates paid and Taxes done, over A$740 back! Yay me. No contact from the plumber but that's OK, he'll get to me (re-Church toilet) eventually.

Today is, of course, 'into town' day for groceries, preceded by a coffee get-together with the local Veterans.

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening,
75° now, mid 60’s overnight and humid.
Missed a few days of posts, what I thought was just allergies from cleaning up garden and yard turned into a miserable sinus infection 🤬. Why does this always happen over the weekend? Antibiotics are working as usual, head draining fairly well and can’t get too far from the can lol. Almost feel semi-human tonight!

Drew - enjoy your trip, looking forward to more pics 👍

Enjoy your evening everyone

Had a couple productive tractor hours.
Then I got it high centered ☹️

Unable to get it unstuck with what I have available, BX, Mule, Ridgeline as I can’t get traction.

Neighbor with tractor off island for medical. Hopefully can help tomorrow.
