good morning all
CRASH! at 1pm. BOOM!
thought I was under attack
line of thunderstorms went through shaking the house
.67 rain, helps, but could have used more
now I'll just be mowing more, I look out now and lawn has already greened up again.

Mostly, maybe we'll go out and look for cuties together. It's been 11 years for me, kinda rusty
Kinda like catching a fish and then not knowing what to do with it...I've had three wives, understand
the basics by now...but i'm a fall in love person so better I stay out of play. I've had my at bats.

had to chuckle, was at supermarket over last weekend, not usually in there then, and two older ladies
gravitated over to me, saying hi, then one's hands lightly started to rub my shoulders and oh boy, time
to check for spilled pickles on aisle three...

visiting step BIL this morning at his farm locally, the one I went to when I overheated at that party.
He wanted to invite me back on a cooler morning.
then home to a little cooler day and will see what I get into.
More rain coming tomorrow

this afternoon taking saw to that storm door so it can fit in can, that was a good idea I was given.
trash company called back, no they won't take it due to glass without a special trip and 5 dollar charge.
Well that's not much for a special trip, but I'll try chopping it up. Aluminum is easy, dealing with the glass
will be a question. Not sure it fits and it sure doesn't cut in half easily....

Good morning, the low is 61 and going to a high of 79°F. Wind N 9 mph. 60% chance of showers. Raining now.

After I found out that I could be penalized for taking the z-turn to town on the road, I cancelled all plans of that. Junior did all the town runs on his trike. Three so far this week.

Another energy conservation day. While I burn up the time I am being punished by the MTO for having a medical 'incident'.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning,
Ct, 74 to start going to 85 or so here, very humid but that is supposed to drop later ! Only about .1 inch last night ! We will leave around 10am for Vermont to host are neighbors across the street ! Hopefully weather cooperates!

My wife thinks this house has some sort of blocker blocker in it maybe was once owned by a spy.
Don, possibly Russian collusion! 😉😀
in there then, and two older ladies
gravitated over to me, saying hi, then one's hands lightly started to rub my shoulders and oh boy, time
to check for spilled pickles on aisle three...
Drew, you owe me the price of my morning paper ! 😉 Where the coffe in my mouth is now on my paper ! 😂 The Waterbury Republican now ruined !
You did it again ! Have you ever considered a career in journalism? 😉

Hope all have a great Thursday! 🙏

good morning, 69 going to 87 and cooler today. Looked like a rain storm was moving in last night but fizzled out and nothing happened. Need rain badly

The Mitsubishi mini split is not cooling as much as before. The company that installed it is coming out this morning to check it out. Maybe a small leak and low on freon

Scott, in second grade they wrote on my report card
Talks Too Much

I love to write actually, thankfully having learned to speed type early on.
Always thought I would be a college professor but no jobs in that field during Vietnam.
Later on when I taught insurance at the Education Center in Hartford at Travelers, i really enjoyed that.
well paid cushy job, not like teaching publicly at all. But I always wanted my own business, perhaps to avoid having
a boss anymore.... pretty sure most of us understand that feeling.

I could write a fun novel about farming and implements. Lots of ideas from NC.
Filled with *** and intrigue, bad trashy neighbors walking topless down the country roads drunk as a skunk.
hydraulics failing trapping our hero underneath, his dog running to the neighbors for help.
Soaring temp gauges on the combine just before the storm comes, can they make it?...
Swarms of locusts erupting and a daughter who has bad taste in men.
two feet of snow and the power is out for days. Will the gen last?
will the chickens freeze?

Tales of the Dirt.
or perhaps
Tractor Tales
preorder now on Amazon...

Good Morning
73° and a high of 85 today. Humidity is much lower than it has been, should be a nice day to be outside.

Yesterday was hot and humid, started with breakfast with the professor, then back to work on the old folks home. Met with the mason and picked out the stone. I asked him for his suggestion, he showed us a picture, and my wife and I agreed that he nailed it on the first try.

This was a barn that he did recently.
So with that out of the way it was back to the gas pipe. More cutting and threading-

But finally got it all done and pressure tested.

Got the air handler up into the attic along with the drain pan, air filter and line set. (All still in boxes for now).
Got a shower and was ready in time for the airport authority meeting, back home by bed time.

Today will likely start with a trip to Home Depot to pick up the bakers scaffolding that I ordered a few weeks ago. Then back to work on the old folks home.
Meeting tonight at the RC club field, I’ll charge up a model and bring it over to fly before the meeting.

Dang it sounds like lots of thunderstorms, and some rain, in so many places. Oh, for some rain! It's so, so dry here ...

103F again today. We stopped the days of 105F or higher at four. Still a couple more hot days then it cools down.

Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning! 70˚F heading to the mid 90s, cloudless skies. No rain in sight for the next 10 days.

Ring is still questionable still missing alert notification on motion.

We managed to put in a two mile walk yesterday at sunset, 94˚. The truck said it got to 101 on the road, it felt like 101. Everything got irrigated yesterday so the grass now needs mowing.

The last auto blind was installed yesterday (because they mis measured) and programed to app. We tend to just use the wall remote to lower and raise them all at the same time once a evening/morning.

I still have at least 4 big projects to do that will take more than a day each but I got to pace myself and enjoy our staycation. Next week the garage cabinet people will be installing and I still have stuff to take up in the attic to clear out the back walls for the cabinets. It sure will be nice to get the garage organized again.

Gotta watch out for those ladies in the grocery store. 😂
BTW, glass breaks. Oops, dropped that screen door window, good thing it was double bagged already.
My backhoe accidentally got a TV screen once.

Haircut later. Wife has something so I have to take the truck. Miss having the Subaru.
Turned up the upstairs temp to give the AH a short break. It did catch up by morning.

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 6:00AM. Foggy this morning, then partly cloudy this afternoon. High 78F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Yes, it will be nice to get the garage organized again, Don. I started moving stuff around so I can get the milling machine to its final resting place yesterday, and got the lathe leveled. I'll take another swing at it today.

Got through a bunch of paperwork, and that was the day. Where does the time go?

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Drew, I normally put things like that in a contractors bag, break the glass, then remove the frames after cleaning off any remaining shards of glass. WEAR GLOVES.

Sure enough there was a leak on the mini split system. The technician was not equipped to find the leak but did charge it up. So now there will be another appointment to find the leak and then we will see how the warranty works.

Leaving for wife's Rheumatologist appointment for another infusion

76F and partly cloudy @ 12:00, heading up to around 80F for the day's high. 1% chance of any further rain. Winds out of the NNW at 10 to 15 mph ... so it should a fairly pleasant day.

Got electric bill scheduled for payment, didn't get around to writing out the checks for the property taxes ... may do that today.

Mist/rain/drizzle never really slacked off yesterday ... so did not get the bucket moved up to the shop ... :( ... another item on the list for today.

LWS reports that we got another 0.78" of rain overnight to add to yesterday's total of 0.89" ... (y)

The Chapin 1 gallon sprayer we are currently using for insecticides has a straight tip on the wand. Would be good to have an angled tip to be able to get the underside of plants. Started looking last night to see what might be available from Menards, HD, Amazon then remembered that the lady down at the hardware store had given me a returned sprayer that seemed to be in "new and unused" condition. IIRC, that one had an angled tip on it.

So I'll need to dig it up, check it out, and see if it can be retrofitted to the Chapin sprayer.

Have the two other 1 gallon sprayers loaded with glyphosate so will probably spray some areas with those that need doing and then see if I have more mixed up to reload the sprayers.

Beyond that, the grass down here around the house is likely due to be mowed again ... assuming it's dry enough.

And no shortage of additional work that could be done in the garden.

Plus whatever else might come up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)

68°F and .32 inches rain almost all since midnight and still raining.

Couldn’t mow in morning too wet, but did get haircuts. Got about half my Hilo mowing done and had hope to finish today but too wet and likely not dry out until late afternoon at best.

Friends coming over mid afternoon to throw some Kalbi pork on the Primo.

Planning our Ireland adventure for March as our Canadian friends will be in residence at the Cottage and will look after the house and furry kids. This tour will be something of a splurge vs like Dennis just rent a car and go. Someone told Sophie recently that if we don’t treat ourselves while we can then those that inherit will but without the appreciation. Thought provoking.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
