Good morning!!!!

A very pleasant 72F and mostly cloudy @ 12:45, calling for a high of 74F for the day.

Yesterday's storms ended up giving us a good soaking - total precip was 2.38" and occurred over an extended period of time which should have given it a good chance to soak in.

That should put us in pretty good shape as far as any rainfall deficit we may have had. Next chance for rain (75%) is Saturday.

Probably not going to have to worry a whole lot about watering for a while.

It ended up being mostly a conserve energy day for me, although I did manage to get manage to get cleaned up and make the run with The Woman down to Menards in Massillon.

They ended up being out of the soaker hoses but we we picked up some other stuff we needed and I got a pair of Wrangler jeans on sale for less than $20 (after sale and rebate)

Agenda for today:

Get tube feeder pole relocated and those put back up, scatter some seed for the ground feeders.

Plant summer squash across the back of the frog pond.

Plant cucumbers on arched trellises.

Finish planting the two rows of beans.

Retrieve SD card out of game cam and see if we had any visitors.

Get the new hitch for the Cub welded up and installed.

Maybe test that out by hooking up the core aerator and coring the front yard.

Have not seen any more groundhogs down here by the house but noticed one of the holes to a burrow on the east side of the house has been reopened so need to fill that in.

Plus whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)

Took the carb off the pressure washer and disassembled it and cleaned it. Used the welding cleaning tips on the passages. Started it up and idles fine but did not want to load it up without water going through it. It looked clean inside so may not be it. Will get a new spark plug and then try to load it up.
Roasted the red peppers and peeled them. Very tasty

RNG tank and fuel level a big ? Was working fine, then I purged the tank and as result the level guage started acting up. Would go to full and immediately drop to empty. My friend, Jim decided to disconnect, jumpered the wire. When starting it work go to full, but go to empty as part of the stalling sequence. Now it just stays reading empty but I detect a flicker of movement when running. Should be a way to test.
I suspect I will drain tank and remove, then pull the sensor and inspect for damage, not that I expect to see any. Maybe I’ll have found a test by then. So at this point I don’t have a clue as to its role in the scenario. This is a strangely shaped tank fit up under the operator station.

Afternoon all!
76 going to a breezy less humid 78.
Brought my father in law for his license renewal. All went well! Was a nice way to kill 3 hours. 72 mile round trip.
Had a visitor caught on the camera while we were gone. @Thomas I think Boo's cousin is here!

Nothing else planned for the day. Sitting on the porch enjoying the day.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Normally, Thursday has been our H&F day with friends, but not today as they are experiencing the joy of malfunctioning refrigerator. Only 2 years old, hope it is readily fixed.

my is it good to be home
8 1/2 drive, sitting here very tired, vibrating and trying to cool off.
Each time I make this trip in one shot I tell myself when I get home, never again...
Left a/c on 80, wish I hadn't, taking a while to cool down.

picked some veggies, my first patti pan squash and a nice tomato that didn't make this pic.
I've got extra cukes, may be making deliveries

nap time for sure

I'm sure this has entered your mind with all you have been through with this issue, but, I gotta ask. Is it possible that the sending unit is shorting out and back feeding to the ECM causing a shutdown and if not your total problem, but contributing to it maybe? Have you tried running the tractor with the sending unit unplugged. I don't recall reading that you have but I may have missed it.

Progress? I can only hope.
Just got off phone with my LS dealer tech. LS recently released a a tech note concerning the EGR valve and its replacement. Not a trivial deal.
So I will have to trailer my tractor back to dealer. Will await expected date of parts.
He also confirmed no Dyno, so I will remount my flail so it can be run under load.
This time, I will NOT retrieve until assured it is fixed.

David, I'm glad they are addressing it.

EGR valve issues are not new

I'd say they have a real problem because EGR is obviously part of emissions control and a failure
in any emissions equipment should be their highest priority. Otherwise you get EPA oversight and potentially
enormous fines.

If they take more than a week to do this repair, I would ask for a loaner tractor, delivered.
when you think how long you have been without effective use of your relatively new tractor,
LS owes you some quality public relations. The question is whether they have anything to loan...

That's a very expensive part, when you google it lots of hits over a thousand bucks. For a valve.
Maybe a valve in a nuke plant, but in your tractor?

some bot will now fly through this content, see the words emission control and failure in the same sentence and ding ding ding ding
an alert goes out.

Good Evening,
Got up to Vt by about 2 pm.

But I did take some pics of me cramming everything into my F150 ! We were loaded to the gills, but still managed to get 22 mpg.

Cut the grass when we got here after unloading the truck ! It was a bit high, so had to rake up a few piles of clippings!

Hope all have a pleasant evening !

D got her phone back. Embassy Diplomatic Security tracked it and confronted the person together with local police. Person arrested. She had it deactivated but now reloading from iCloud. It was not a foreign agent as suspected.

I would not be surprised if a new plug cured it. Hondas are very sensitive to spark plug issues.

RNG, nope not that simple, I wish. Fuel guage been misreading since I purged tank. Jim disconnected when troubleshooting. He jumped the connector, sometimes will read full, then go to empty when stalling sequence happens. Sometimes it just stays on empty.
Maybe that’s the problem, gauge goes to empty when it shouldn’t , tractor shuts down thinking it’s out of fuel.

only got .13” rain last night. Any helps.
Drove 6 hrs to the farm, then spent 3.5 on the tractor mowing.
This area was cleared of trees in 1971.

Some of it is very steep, gotta mow in a safe direction.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 1.6C and it's presently 9.3C (perhaps heading to 12C). It's overcast and calm.

This arvo's plan is to chain-harrow the area that the lime was piled prior to loading/spreading. That's a good thing as the weather is predicted to change this evening with higher winds and a good soaking rain, lasting 'til tomorrow after noon.

That's about it, take care all.
