Good Evening Everyone.

I'm sorry that I missed a few weeks again, and especially disappointed that I missed the Christmas Day greetings. I hope that it was wonderful for you all. My Christmas was quiet and alone, other than lunch at a friends place with him and his wife. That was a nice outing. I did connect with all 3 of my kids though, so those chats were nice.

When driving home on Christmas Day evening, I noticed that the brakes in my pick-up were feeling soft and sketchy. I prayed my way home, slow on the hills, managed to avoid traffic and red lights. Got home safely, and have been home since. I topped up the brake fluid, it was lower than it should have been. I put cardboard under the truck to try and spot brake fluid leaks (nothing seen). I'm now thinking that there is perhaps some air in the brake line. (There is pedal pressure when the truck is off, but the pedal is soft, almost to the floor - when running or in gear). I took a short test drive down the road, but it was not great yet. Will probably need some help when I bleed the brakes - good thing that it is a slow week. I'm not hearing any brake squeal, nor do I see parts hanging / missing. it will be sorted out shortly.

So much for my Boxing Week sales interest (I need to replace a few tools in this Separation) ... floor jack, air compressor, drill / driver, oh and that Leatherman multi-tool that I've wanted for a year now ... all of it will wait.

In the days before Christmas, I managed to get all the cards and packages mailed out, and in time :) . I had a day or two with the tractor also ... 1) plowing the snow (it has now melted, green grass again) and 2) filling in a large hole that the dog likes to dig.

Happy Planning for NYE and 2024.

Glad it was overall a positive Christmas Day for you, Scaredy. We can all use more of those.

good morning all, no idea why I'm up this early
nice warm day today, sunny in low 50's after 2.67 rain yesterday

Is that stuff infused with GOLD
W
agtail, I think JD is in a race with Kubota's UDT Super to see who can charge the most for good hydraulic oil...
bet those filters weren't cheap either.

Scaredy, nice to hear from you. Stay strong and make the best of what you've got.

Microsoft has a feature that allows mixed sound output but I can't figure out how to set it. Instructions don't match what's on my screen.
I can click back and forth between my two speaker systems, but not both at once.
I am amazed how much more detail comes out of the KEF speakers instead of Klipsch, not what I expected and am delighted.

Coffee is brewing. 37° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 41° with rain. Had a very good breakfast with neighbors yesterday. Then finished hooking up valve on tractor. Have a leak at main input to valve. May be a bad valve. Got it at a garage sale many years ago. Will check it out today.
Doves waiting for rain to stop.

Frits, your dog is simply saying what we all know
Just Be Nice

going to take a walk today in park across the street, a little fresh air needed
plantar fasciitis in right foot still bad, after half a mile I need to get off my feet and
then foot is swollen and hot for a while. Prior treatments did not work and recently my PT lady made it
much worse by stretching my foot on incline. Likely could use a shot of something right in it, had that in past, got some
relief. I think something is ripped and not healing, despite treatment, the boot, one expensive treatment after another.
like my tinnitus, seems some stuff you just have to live with. Particularly if the cure is worse.
I have used shoe inserts for years and Scholl's has a helpful OTC pad.

the road can be bumpier and slightly wobbly with well worn parts but we will get there. ;)

Thomas, Dorman has a main plant not far from here right across street from my friend's coffee business in Colmar PA.
They use his diesel Sprinter delivery vans to test some new parts.
I guess they are a big player but what I've read, they are made more for price point than top quality
so Thomas, what parts mfg is the best?
Does Walker make the best muffler?
how about your favorite filters?

get the younger guys to lug those cases of motor oil and DEF for you.
