Good Evening Everyone.
I'm sorry that I missed a few weeks again, and especially disappointed that I missed the Christmas Day greetings. I hope that it was wonderful for you all. My Christmas was quiet and alone, other than lunch at a friends place with him and his wife. That was a nice outing. I did connect with all 3 of my kids though, so those chats were nice.
When driving home on Christmas Day evening, I noticed that the brakes in my pick-up were feeling soft and sketchy. I prayed my way home, slow on the hills, managed to avoid traffic and red lights. Got home safely, and have been home since. I topped up the brake fluid, it was lower than it should have been. I put cardboard under the truck to try and spot brake fluid leaks (nothing seen). I'm now thinking that there is perhaps some air in the brake line. (There is pedal pressure when the truck is off, but the pedal is soft, almost to the floor - when running or in gear). I took a short test drive down the road, but it was not great yet. Will probably need some help when I bleed the brakes - good thing that it is a slow week. I'm not hearing any brake squeal, nor do I see parts hanging / missing. it will be sorted out shortly.
So much for my Boxing Week sales interest (I need to replace a few tools in this Separation) ... floor jack, air compressor, drill / driver, oh and that Leatherman multi-tool that I've wanted for a year now ... all of it will wait.
In the days before Christmas, I managed to get all the cards and packages mailed out, and in time
. I had a day or two with the tractor also ... 1) plowing the snow (it has now melted, green grass again) and 2) filling in a large hole that the dog likes to dig.
Happy Planning for NYE and 2024.
