my sister said they were salting roads in eastern Ohio yesterday.

Yeah ... saw the City of Akron was preemptively salting this morning on my way in.

At first I thought it was kind of funny, given that the roads were dry.

Doubt it will really be needed ... ground is still pretty warm.

Busy work day whew, lot more leaves have fallen since this morning.

I have a five year lease now.
before I made any more improvements I would ask for another longer lease, maybe ten years.
I can always leave...

current lease has a 5 percent inflation clause each year, probably where it should stay though longer terms ??

2.5% is easier on your monthly salary and over the long run they make the same money, just not as fast.

Got most of the leaves down here around the house chopped up, still have a ways to go to get them all cleaned up though. Should be able to get it done over the next couple of days before it warms up again.

Woman came out and worked on flower bed, removed some of the soil from the dump cart and then I got that moved around front to the second circle where the rest of what is in it will get emptied once it warms up some.

Filled up hopper feeder and 1 suet feeder out on the poles, scattered some whole corn on the ground for the squirrels and ground feeders.

Feet were frozen when I came in, Woman got me a heating pad and stuck it under my feet ... warmed them right up ...

Do you and the wife can a lot of your produce

Not so much this year, hopefully next year ... once I get the garden permanently enclosed and the electric fencing put up.

Woman did recently pick a vacuum sealer for freezing stuff.

Was very happy with how well the beans did this year ... got a couple of nice buckets before the deer got to them.

Really should dig out the Mirror pressure cooker and check the condition of the gasket/seal and see if I need to order a new one.

Nope, no stand.

Thinking I might start more strawberry runners in pots next year and sell them though. Was pretty easy to do.

Some nice live plants ought to be worth something ... right ?

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 2.6C and it's presently 19.5C, fairly clear and calm.

As I wrote yesterday, today is 'into town' day for mail & groceries. Followed by cleaning up the wattle branches downed yesterday.

The first 'mowing' around the house is looking to be close.

That's about it, take care all.

Hah! Thanks. I have scaffolding (best tool money I've spent lately). Three sections, but have only needed one so far.

The ladder mishap was coming down FROM the scaffold.
