Good morning! 68˚ heading to 100˚ again/still. cloudless sky light southerly wind, 0% chance of rain, air quality alert because it is a high ozone day.
Got most of lawyer home work done. some companies still do not communicate via e-mail and so snail mail both ways + process time will take 2 weeks on things I wanted done yesterday.
The never ending moving of stuff continues. Interesting find was a pair of carnival vases valued at $50 each. They are ridged and have a colorful sheen like oil in water and look like this but not marked:

Coffee is brewing. 45° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 76° with plenty of sun. Grocery shopping went good. Helped neighbor do repairs to a ornamental bridge for their flower garden. Going to take several loads of rocks I took out of my garden pond last spring to neighbors for their gardens today.

Ron is sending that cool air down and over here, 54 out now, should be a lovely sunny day with high around 80.
I'm off to PT this morning, concerned that now I have pain in left knee. Did it when overdoing it on that hike up the hill.
Not going away.
you can only have one thing break at a time, right?.......

if I get bored I might install the vac on the lawn mower and change the blades to those super hard ones.
this way no leaf raking.

Mostly, I could never hand hold long exposures, even a tiny tripod helps

hope it works, it's supposed to aggravate the area first, which I'm not looking forward to....

competing local supermarket raised the ante for fresh corn, ten ears for two bucks.

Drew, so far I can take pictures without a tripop. Auto Stabilization helps a lot. I did use front door frame to help hold camera steady for yesterdays photo.

58 outside this AM, sweet. Be lucky to touch 80 today. 68% humidity. Nice.

With this agreeable weather, I might break out the lawn equipment. The grasses are all in different stages of dormancy. Ranging from dead to five inches of new growth. LOL. Talk about spotty.

More chimney work today. All inside the building from the top down. I have my eye on some nice original rough cut 2X12X6 pieces. The look to be holding up the chimney. Unfortunate the concrete work looks to be 200 pounds worth I need to get through. The steel mesh that they used is the real issue. It holds the concrete really well. LOL. Looks like I will be swinging the sledge hammer in a few.

Hope all have a great start to the weekend. Be safe, those ailing....get better...soonest.

Oh, wife got insurance company straight. They had what they needed, "sorry for the inconvenience".
Would not be bad if they were a little bit more informed on history of claims and submittals. One can see a pattern there for coverage. Guess their models need a little more tweaking.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly.

60F going to 80 F, generally sunny forecast.

on the way back from picking up the rediscovered vehicle keys, stopped in town for a couple errands and also stopped into one of the antique stores we don’t get to too often. Found an antique bark spud in excellent condition, and also there was a small Atlanta Stove Works enameled wood heater stove that we got for $75, need to pick that up this morning, then take it and the dogs up to the woodlot for a walk. I also need to grab my chainsaw chain and sharpen it for more wood cutting tomorrow+.

Planning to take mom out to dinner either today or tomorrow to celebrate a Labor Day (and to avoid having to do family BBQ with Harry Houdini The Hungry Howling Hound actively participating…). Someone else can wash the plates, too.

We had a nice trip yesterday going down to Harpers Ferry. The Potomac River was low in flow and lots of rocks sticking up. The historic Pack Horse Ford crossing was very clearly seen.

Zion was put in jail after tearing up a pillow

Finally a break in the heat for So Cal. 85º forecasted to day. Sounds like heaven.
Lots of projects need to be finished - some were put off until the heat spell broke.
I'll pick one... the chain mower got finished yesterday with the help of a friend. I suspect we will fire that thing up on something.

Mike Z, glad to hear your wife got insurance issue’s straightened out !
Also nice work on the chimney, looks like some pretty exhausting work, especially in the heat !

Kathleen and I took a nice ride on the lake late yesterday afternoon, very breezy out there, only a couple of boats on the water, and had to wear a sweat shirt !

We have more tomatoes from the garden this year than I can remember! We are giving away bags to our neighbor ! Nothing like a tomato and Hellmans Mayo on toast ! Plenty of those this summer !

M7040, sorry to hear about your pillow ! What a mess, nothing like doggie Jail !
