Buppies, nice that happened, holding doors is a wonderful thing. Makes both folks happy.

going to take drone up in Lambertville NJ today after shopping and get a pic of the bridge,
and then will try, and I mean try, to get to this place to take pics.
Goat Hill Overlook Trailhead - Google Maps

half a mile straight up from parking lot.
we shall see
might take e bike but means putting hitch back on car and not that motivated.
I need the exercise anyway.
how much can half a mile be?
:)

well at least coming back is down hill. Always look on the bright side.

Frits, hope knee is getting better. Wish we were born with a grease zerk
on our knees. They seem to wear out too soon. Look at the terrible time Ted
has had with his. If you sit and do nothing (stay off it) you get out of shape and
stiff and then have more issues. The joys of the golden years.

Good Morning
66 with a high in the middle 80’s today under partly cloudy skies with a 0% probability of rain.

Yesterday was a nice day as well. I puttered around a bit in the morning, getting a few details on the P51 taken care of so it would be ready to go after lunch. Had Zoe out running around trying to use up some energy, chasing her Jolly ball.

The P51 flew well, plenty of power, but excessively touchy on the controls. Quite fast, and a handful with the controls set the way that they were. Flew it around for a while to get a feel for it and then landed it successfully. It did great aerobatics, could go almost straight up on power alone. It was pretty windy at the field, so I did adjust the setup to make it a bit more manageable, I only made the one flight.

When I got home, I put the 3PT mower on and did the pastures, then did the perimeters with the Lazer. Grandson wasn’t around for the tractor, but joined me on the Lazer. He must have been pretty tired.

He drifted in and out for a while before settling on out.
Last thing on the agenda was the access point in the barn. I relocated it, so I had to run an Ethernet cable from the switch to the new location. It seems like every time I terminate a cable on a ladder or some other awkward spot, I get a wire or two crossed, but I was extra careful this time and the cable tested good on the first try. The POE switch gave me come configuration issues, but it’s all up and running now.

Zoom call today at 11, not much else planned for the day. I managed to get all caught up with the outside and tractor chores. I do need to take a ride around the perimeter of the hedgerows and pick up fallen branches and limbs and put them on the brush pile.

Good morning! 74 heading over 100 today. My hopes for a non 100 day tomorrow are dashed. All weather stations are now predicting 100-101, and the chance of rain keeps going down. Now next chance below 100 will be in 8 days.
Maybe TS Franklin will bring us some rain.

Good morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

64F going to upper 80s, sunny all day. Local airport weather recorder station is down for a fourth day…

running a bit behind this morning, need to call and see how pickup is doing at the shop, heading to woodlot to do a little excavator work and get it to 50 hours and change drive motor oil.

catch you all later!

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

66 outside this AM, heading to lower 90's. 97% humidity.

As of about 45 minutes ago, it is a definite Monday at the day job. Like a switch we go from auto-pilot to full control. But not in a good way. LOL.

Yesterday the wife and I ran some errands and stopped by a favorite eatery for lunch. We paid our respects to the establishment and honored the memory of the owner who recently passed. He was a pillar in the community, here is hoping his legacy goes forward.

We also managed to beat back Mother Nature on a variety of tasks yesterday. I think I managed to avoid poison ivy, but will see in another day or so. We hung a hidden driveway sign about 500 feet from our entrance on the main drag. Hopes that it will slow people down. Of course as I am out there, a person goes really fast, probably in excess of 60 mph right by me. A ribbon flew out of his car, landed on the road. His turn signal comes on and I figured he would stop and come back up the road for it. Nope. Just kept going. Hope it was not for his kids accomplishments in the local pony show.

A roofer is supposed to come by mid-week for the estimate on the chimney hole patch. Would be nice it they can do it and for a decent price. Need to do that before the plumbers do their thing.

Hope all have a great start to the work week. Be safe. Those ailing, get better soon.

64°
Wife decided to not walk the trail, she thought it would be hotter out.
Squirrel on back deck toying with the inside cats.
Snagglepuss is now with me on front porch.
The 2 hummingbirds still like the feeder, one chases the other off.
Not sure what to get into today.

Good morning. 73 now, going up to 93. 101, 106, 103 next three days. Uggh! I don't remember having a 106 temp, ever...

Walmart.com canceled the Wagner power roller I ordered, had to go with Amazon (same $). Too hot to paint the shop walls anyway, since the wiring for the A/C unit is on hold until the garage doors get in. The raised tracks/spring shafts will be real close to the corner, which is where the conduit is supposed to go.

I'm waiting on three contracted things for the shop: Hot Dawg heater, roll-up garage doors, Rotary two post car lift. I don't like waiting on other people and/or orders, but that seems to be the "new norm".

good trip to supermarket.
forgot to take in my paper bags in trunk so got nicked for two bags at ten cents each.
I try to get three uses out of the paper bags; if I double them up the second and third time, most hold up.
everyone is trying to get away from plastic

Other supermarket doesn't charge for bags. Of course their prices are 20-30 percent higher.
Our practice of throwing this stuff out after one use if avoidable is becoming less common, good for landfills.
but if the chicken juice leaks on the bag, I'm sure not using that again...some stuff is meant to be thrown out.
having a nice set of supermarket bags of your own in the car makes sense. I really try to hoard the plastic bags now
since I think they are going away.

would be nice if alternative to wood could be used to make all those paper bags.
how about corn, soybeans and glue? Smell like a big Dorito.
bet your dog would like it

have two pretty ripe Italian red peppers to give to neighbor across the street.
will take a while since she will give me an earful. Then off to take some pictures.
very nice day out, warming up for sure
