Did you park the RV at the campground right along the water? --- the real narrow one?

not yet, that's at Flagler Beach in two days
tomorrow Ft Meyers, then Flagler, then SC
Be careful on the inland part of Ft. Myers - the area was going downhill when we sold our place in Naples two years ago,I and guessing it has not improved. Very sketchy.

back in the rv, found lots of dead ants. (y) Raid worked well.

got my new tire cover installed, cinched down tight as can be, then put a knot in it. We shall see.

should have some showers tonight, then clear tomorrow morning for my drive. about 80 and very sticky out now

looks like a pretty tight campground but rv not very big, not hard to park. My friends in Fort Meyer are picking me up and taking me back to their home for dinner, hope I can get some water views.
would be cool to see some dolphins playing in the River.

I tried to get local commercial truck shop to balance my front tires with the tpms sensors installed. Again....turned down. Busy until end of week, go an hour North, sigh. Not so easy to get motorhomes worked on since you need a tall garage door to get them inside, and today it seems no one is willing to work outside. Except for road service guys, thankfully. So looks like I'll be wiggling along a while longer. Not so wonderful for my brand new front tires. Funny if I go faster, like 70mph, the wiggle calms down. But in the 60-65mph range where I drive, steering wheel shake is slight, but noticeable.

Well, a productive day afterall ! The wind calmed down around 13:00, so got the tractor out and tore into the 2 piles of gravel. Barely covered 1/2 the area I wanted to.....

So another 28 tons coming next week. I'm definitely not happy --- the price went up $4 per ton In two weeks!
Not much anyone can do about that..... I called another quarry thats 15 miles further away and the price per ton was $4 less, but they charge 3 times more for delivery! ($85 from the close place, $345 from the further)

At least, the turn around is graveled.... no more mud! and no more K turns.....

Kilroy, hope Harry feels better now that he started on the meds. He probably picked up the worms at the shelter. Glad you guys caught it sooner than later!

Drew, have a safe return trip. Think of the imbalance as a massage chair.....:eek: Hope it's not too bad of a vibration.

Time to go put the feet up......

Good (Wednesday) arvo. Overnight Low of 12C and it's presently 20.9C, overcast and calm. It rained practically all day yesterday and there was 29.5mm in the gauge at 0900.

Fairly busy forenoon today as it's 'into town' day; script picked up at the Chemist, a case of wine retrieved from the PO (where do these things keep coming from  ). A stop at the 'hardware' store to get a 30 metre length of good garden hose to replace a section of the horse-trough watering system (no water lost... it's a 'stitch in time' precaution) and then groceries.

As I passed the Rectory I glanced over and there was a removalist there, so our new Priest & family have arrived. Yay!

Seeing as I'm dressed, I think I'll tackle taking down a hidden, broken/dead tree branch that seems to be the font of continuous twigs on my lawn.

That's about it, take care all.

Good eye doc appointment, says everything looks great.
Of course, per usual with the dilation it was late afternoon before I could even look outside and it was cloudy, but still too bright.

Propane company delivered this afternoon, 170.5 gallons. That’s gonna be over $1k.

Good morning, the low temp is 28 and going to a high of 32°F. Wind SSE 5 mph. Flurries, a couple of inches of them.

Depending on how deep the snow is at 4 P.M., that will be the deciding factor on my plowing today or waiting till tomorrow.

For the next 12 hours I will just watch the snow accumulate.

Safe travels Drew.

Have a safe day all

How many months will that 170.5 gallons last you?

First cup of coffee has been poured. 25° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 43° with mix of rain and snow around noon. I did find something to do yesterday. Helped neighbor replace rotors and brake pads on his Jeep. Dogs enjoyed their walk. Will depend on weather if I get anything done outside today.

good morning all
74 in Delray Beach, waiting for hot water to heat up so I can take a shower. Don't want to leave before 9am due to traffic, which is likely to be bad until I leave this area anyway. Made coffee, slowly enjoying that and trying to wake up.

Don, hope you are doing ok.

38 going to 61. Rain stopped.

m7040, garden soil looks rich and nicely tilled.

Kilroy, glad you found out about those worms. They are rough on a dog.

Thomas, paying more taxes only means you brought in more income...think of it as working for the critters...to buy them food.

The dew was so heavy, and stayed around until afternoon, so made a dump run and got in a nice maintenance hike, then bush hogged for 3 hours...a good start. Also drafted a baseball team vs. my son and others. Opening Day tomorrow ⚾.

Good morning to all. Another "cool" morning here. Daytime temps warming to near 90 by the end of the week. Anyone with extra rain, please send to Central Texas.

Lockheed Martin U2-Dragon Lady still operates but the future is uncertain. More advanced drones and other surveillance platforms are in the works. Claimed altitude is +70,000 feet with a +7000-mile range. The U-2S/TU 2S still flying.

Wishing all a great day.

27F and "Fair" @ 07:30, heading to around 53F for the day's high. Temps approaching 70F in the Ten Day but accompanied by a good amount of rain.

Will be interesting to see how warm it is up in the shop today. Was around 50F yesterday morning when I got up there.

I had it up 90F in there at one point yesterday. Not bad if one is sitting on a mechanics stool near the floor which is always cool this time of year but you really don't want to stand up for any length of time ...

I left two pieces of pine inside to dry out. It usually starts quickly and burns hot so getting a fire going this morning should go relatively easy.

Did not get any feeders filled yesterday but I did get the branches that had fallen in the circle/turnaround picked up so a vehicle can now be driven through. Maybe today.

Remembered to take up items up to the shop with me when I went.

Grabbed the Trewax carnauba paste wax and my new calipers later in the day and took those up as well.

Need to remember to take up the arbor wrench for the Craftsman Table Saw when I go this morning along with more water. Also small Shop Van out of van.

Threads inboard on the blade arbor shaft are pretty ugly looking. When I took the blade off I discovered that instead of the proper (outboard) arbor flange someone had substituted a keyed v-belt pulley ...

Will try and run a die on those if any the wrenches I have will fit and see if they can be cleaned up.

🤬

Scrubbed off the arbor bracket, dust chute, and the front and rear trunnion brackets with some dishwashing detergent and water and got most of the white powdery residue off.

Got the fan on the 3 phase motor pulled and scrubbed off. Started sanding fan shroud.

Tipped cabinet over on its side and removed the 4 bolts and nuts attaching it to the base and dug out the crud that was stuck to the walls of the base:

IMG_2387 copy.jpg

More silicone caulking removed and another application of McKanica silicone remover applied. Should be getting close on getting all of that off.

Think I have a piece of metal that I've been saving from an old steel equipment shipping crate that can be welded in and will work to fill in the missing metal on the top of the base.

Worked on getting contact cement off of three castings/brackets: the front and rear trunnion brackets are done and cleaned up pretty good ... (y)

Arbor bracket mostly done at this point, but still need to rinse it off in the parts washer.

Sanded the rods that the worm gears for the blade raise/lower and tilt ride on and got most of the rust and crud off those. Need to remember to take up a can of Fluid Film this morning when I go to coat those.

Found a guy on Craigs that has a bunch of electrical boxes/enclosures for sale cheap and got in touch with him, waiting to hear back on what he has, dimensions wise. Could work for mounting the VFD.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of mounting it on the saw. Probably on the back of the cabinet.

Planning on running 110/220 to the enclosure, that way a 110 outlet can be installed on the side table which would be handy.

Items on recent Amazon order are due in today.

Hope everyone has a good day ... (y)

Billy, hope wifey's shoulder problems can go away or be fixed. Yep, baseball about to start.

I'm in the middle of watching 3 motorcycle racing seasons. Supercross, American Flat track, and MotoGP.

U2 has a very narrow flight envelope when it comes to speed. Another Skunk works miracle

Have a great day all. Gotta go work.
