Wishing you many many more trips around the sun.
About the same forecast for here 8-12" or 12-18". I'm hopeing for 4-6" myself.38F cloudy storm arriving around 9pm shutting off Wednesday AM,calling for 10-14 inches of wet heavy snowsure hope the ground freezes.
Work day was busy, after work 2 stops for critter food attach plow to pickup.
Plans for the evening...grill some chops and feet up early pillow time tonight.
Enjoy your evening all.
35 outside this AM, heading to mid 40's.
Yesterday's weather was interesting, little bit of everything. I especially enjoyed the snow squalls with the ridiculously large flakes. Nothing stuck but it sure was pretty when it was coming down.
More Milk House work today. Two more lights need to be hung. I also need to go find a table saw so I can start ripping wood for the inside trim. Don't need anything spectacular, just simple and stout.
Awesome. Thanks for the info. I need to make a move in the next week or two. I have a lot of window trims to custom cut. Either that or I get real good with mortar mix. The concrete is just difficult to work with and around. I have plenty of wood left over from various projects so all I need is a decent saw.Mike,
Have been doing some research on table saws myself, mainly due to the non-standard miter slot and the goofy throat plate on the cheap Craftsman table saw I have ... although for the $100 I think I paid for it, I have been pretty happy with how it cuts ... after having put a decent Freud combo blade on it ...
Dewalt seems to real popular with contractors for portable 10" "job site" table saws. Think those are around $550 to $700 depending on the model and where you look.
Skil has a couple of table saws that have gotten good reviews.
They make a 8 1/4" worm-gear drive (SPT99T-01, $375 on Amazon, reviewed in the 2nd video) and a non worm-gear drive 10" portable (TS6307-00, $329 on Amazon, reviewed in the next video below) both of which seem to have pretty good reviews:
But the one I've been lusting for is the larger 10" worm-gear drive with an increased rip capacity and the big wheels (SPT99-11):
I see that they are now offering that one for $569 on a "limited time deal" ... which I think is around $80 less than the last time I checked a few weeks ago.
Believe there is a SPT99-12 ... which might be a newer model. Not sure what the differences are.
Anyways, good luck in your researches ...![]()
Looks like the blower will be on deck for this one.Blower or front loader?
Awesome. Thanks for the info.

I have had a Porter Cable, DeWalt, and a Makita portable saws over the years. A couple of years ago, the Makita bit the dust and I bought the Rigid table saw. IMHO, it is the best of the bunch.Awesome. Thanks for the info. I need to make a move in the next week or two. I have a lot of window trims to custom cut. Most don't know the day we will go, so it's best to have your things in order. It's been a busy weekend and I'm getting tired. Went to a Celebration Of Life Service yesterday, for a 55 yr old friend who died unexpectedly. A story of Faith, Struggles, Pain, and Redemption. Large family of solid believers, so this was tough. I had lunch with him and others, only a month ago. It was good to be there with the family though.
cheers all
Thankful you had another trip around the sun, hoping for many, many more.good morning all
raining lightly out, will continue to do so on and off today, and tomorrow. Nastier weather tomorrow with high winds.
had a very nice dinner over at my brother's last night, with the rest of local family and grandkids. Was a lot of fun.
We had a home made meatball and sausage dinner, with lots of nice appetizers and home made blackberry blueberry pie with vanilla
ice cream. Yum. Celebrating my 73rd birthday today. In addition to a matching potholder and dish cloth set with little bees on them (I think picked out
by the 6 year old girl...) I also got a gift certificate to Tractors Supply. Ahhh. A truly fine gift.
Every birthday is a real treat for me. Almost didn't make it three years ago, so am grateful for every morning.
I intend to do nothing today but chill. Might start setting clothes out for trip starting next Sunday. Two weeks on the road, now how many pairs of underwear
and socks to bring...thankfully friends in Florida have washing machine I can use, but unlike traveling on train, don't have to worry about overpacking. Most rv campgrounds have washers and dryers also but without a car to haul stuff back and forth, not very convenient.
trying to rig up a mount to take pictures from dash of rv without having to hold camera in hands, clearly not good while driving. I got a box of two magnet mounts for camera, put one on, and now can't find the box with the other one. Sigh.... I seem to misplace a lot of stuff. Dash is filling up with 8 inch nav screen, tpms control box, dash cam, and now a way to take pics easily. It's a big dash with lots of nooks to hold things, thankfully. Going to hunt again for the magnet mount, I had to have put the little box somewhere. I thought of the picture taking after I put the first mount on. Really good adhesive, don't want to fool with it.
in order to make magnet mount work, had to put small adhesive metal plate on back of Iphone 12. Unfortunately that screws up the charging so I have to use a cable
now, which is no big deal.
It's a great day to be alive. Grateful for family and friends.
20" wow! Hope you get a new snowmobile for your birthday! Better get it delivered tomorrow!Happy Birthday Drew! I'll be 65 on Thursday!
Looks like 20 inches of wet snow in the forecast starting tonight into Wednesday!
I will be doing storm prep today.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy and weathers the storm ok!
Was wondering if you had a cnc waterjet???Agreed, but while I’m pretty well equipped, I don’t have a stamping press.
The work at Drews went pretty well, the frost proof hydrant was a bit recalcitrant, the old time rope packing didn’t want to let the shaft out without a fight, but ultimately surrendered to a pair of vice grips and a wonder bar.
If we had known it was his birthday, we would have brought a cake!
School is half for the parents, half for the pup.Is school really helping Zoe? We have had 6 dogs over the years never tried school
Sorry for your pains. Prayers for pains to subside. The Orthopedic Doctor examined the X-rays of the shoulder and good news is that no joint damage is found. As suspected soft tissue pain around the joint not going away.
Got cortisone injection to reduce inflammation and referral to PT. Back again in a few weeks to check progress and possibly going to get RMI if needed. Also set up a separate appointment for the knee and foot issues
