Good Morning!!!! 61F @ 8:00AM. Sunny. Gusty winds diminishing during the afternoon. High near 80F. NNE winds at 20 to 30 mph, decreasing to 5 to 10 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
The Red Flag Warning continues over most of Northern California this morning, and from what I can gather, PG&E made good on their threat to cut power in a few counties south of here. No power problems here so far. Several of you have installed whole house generators and I'm wondering, after living with them for a while, what are your thoughts? Still happy with your purchase? Anything you'd want to do different?
Listen to Ted, Ron. Take it easy and listen to your body. It's no fun recovering from a surgery like that, but you'll be a lot better off in the long run if you follow the doctor's, and your wife's, instructions...
All those reports of cooler weather, and especially the pictures of snow! Seems like just yesterday we were all sweating through record temps and looking forward to fall. But I agree with Ted, I wish it would stick around a lot longer than it does. Still hoping to get up to the Sierras for a few days of leaf peeping if I can get the van bumper nonsense cleared up today and tomorrow...
My neighbor made good on his promise to find his thermal shield spray yesterday, and it did a very nice job in keeping the paint from burning off around the spot where the vent line came through the fuel tank. Now I just need to give the POR-15 paint applied at the braze inside the tank a couple days to dry and it'll be ready to use. Wouldn't you know it, though, the ignition unit I've been waiting forever for arrived yesterday, yeah Sunday, via USPS 2-day Priority Mail, so all the bike needs now to run is to install the fuel lines. :confused2:
Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!
