With this wind, I better look outside and make sure my camper is wheel side down.

Cat in basement will jump on dryer, from there jump on cabinet top, then get on ceiling of basement bathroom. It’s 8ft, basement is 9 ft.
Today it figured out to walk from there across ductwork and get to shelves on other side of the wall, and then get down on side he ain’t supposed to be.
So I piled boxes on top of the cabinet so he would have no space to land. Within 5 minutes, as I sat and watched, he was up there.

Now I screwed a ceiling under those 2x4s out over the cabinet. Will see how long this takes.

little glitch, seems rv dealer two hours away forgot to put power cable back in rv.
I looked in every compartment three times. Someone just forgot.
Camper's World is half an hour away, headed there early tomorrow. Dealer will set it aside for me, going to get some work
done there anyway. another spare...

meanwhile ran a super heavy extension cord to inside of rv, running a 1200 watt space heater on a thermostat.
Tomorrow when I get back, if it's cold I'll just run the propane furnace for ten minutes.
I asked for a quote to replace the existing 13.5k a/c with a 15k heat pump, so I can forgot worrying about heat.
I actually have done just fine with two electric heaters in the past. Real question is whether the rv will stay cool in S. Florida.

pretty tuckered out, but a good day.

Went out at 11:45 to plow 6" of fluffy white snow and got back in at 16:30, this place and my usual 5 plus one extra I am doing while he is on holidays.
60% chance of flurries tonight and tomorrow.

You tube rabbit hole here I come for the rest of today.

just read that NJ governor says, just like California, no new ICE cars sold after 2035.
Sounds good to pass this legislation, but where's the absolutely required and missing funding for an adequate
charging system nationwide? And is all the electricity made by burning moonbeams?...

then they mentioned this:
introduction of zero-carbon-emission heating and cooling systems to residential and commercial buildings.
what does that mean other than they clearly don't like fireplaces and wood stoves? Or propane. Or fuel oil. Or, or, or
not everyone can afford geothermal heating...

I hope they do some kind of impact study on the cost of these changes. Not just the perceived benefits.

NJ's mid state air is noxious, drive near the Newark Airport or the Jersey Turnpike. So clearly they, like California, have to do something.

On clear nights I go out and collect five gallons of moonbeams. Guess I'll be ok for fuel.

Don, I played the album Traveler pulling out of the dealership, an old favorite a friend gave me on my first rv. Hard to beat Willy.

I found this interesting. If I go on the road, will take a closer look.
Starlink is now a huge deal on yachts, will put the existing VSAT carriers out of business.
Starlink now says they are global, even the North Pole.

there are so many satellites up there now, surprised they aren't running into each other.
Maybe they reserve a position with some governing space body?

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 16.5C and it's presently 23C, overcast and fairly calm... a vast 'improvement' over yesterdays top of 38C with strong arvo winds.

Just 'tootling' along.

That's about it, take care all.

On driving on the autobahn rented a BMW sedan and was doing 200 kph when a car used the horn for me to pull over to pass and went by pretty fast. It is generally safe driving but when accidents happen not much is left.
Doing 120 MPH was common when we went to Vegas for shopping. It was 100 miles from Bullhead City, AZ to Vegas and part of it was getting up from Davis Dam to Searchlight a winding hill climb and then straight as far as you could see until hitting Henderson. 100 miles took one hour in a big block sedan rental car. Forget about mileage you could literally se the gas gauge needle move down as we drove.

I have a Starlink RV system, used it at home until they let me buy the home system. Now they have another version you can use in motion, my RV one is like the home system, just costs more. I have it on pause.
