On driving on the autobahn rented a BMW sedan and was doing 200 kph when a car used the horn for me to pull over to pass and went by pretty fast. It is generally safe driving but when accidents happen not much is left.
Doing 120 MPH was common when we went to Vegas for shopping. It was 100 miles from Bullhead City, AZ to Vegas and part of it was getting up from Davis Dam to Searchlight a winding hill climb and then straight as far as you could see until hitting Henderson. 100 miles took one hour in a big block sedan rental car. Forget about mileage you could literally see the gas gauge needle move down as we drove.

But gas was cheap, back then.
It is 313 miles from Toronto, ON to Montreal, PQ. I could do it in 3.5 hours flat, but I had to 'get with the program and stay with the program', and hopefully not get busted for speeding. The whole trip was 60 mph road, but the speed limit signs up here are merely a suggestion.

My weather station still not reporting in. I tried to reset it’s network but didn’t work yet. Had to leave,
Went to game night at church. While they played, I got 2 Ethernet cables pulled thru the floor conduit, then up to podium. Have the hdmi working to the old projector and thru the new switch. Next step is to install the new 4K projector.

Good evening all. 25ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, breezy. Wind slowed done during day, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 50ºF. Clean ashes and revive the fire in insert to start day. Puttered some in morning, take wife to Hair appointment, grocery shop, pick her back up and have lunch then come home to ride. There is a project going on to replace 50yo water pipe, Have lost water for couple of hours, then half day. No loss today but lane blocked for 1/4 mile for most of day, not sure how many days that will last. No nap today, ride starting with below freezing temps tomorrow

Billy yes was largemouth. There is a catch and release on all largemouth, 12 inch min on crappie, and sand(white) bass, no limits on channel cat. Mating season does have it's risks

not very warm here today, 28 going up to only 44 in sun, should be clear sunny day though.

am off early to campers world to get rv power cable, then home to sanitize inside of rv so I can start putting things away.
didn't sleep well last night, nose is a little sniffly this morning.

.51 inches of rain yesterday, temps were high enough nothing froze.

Good morning. Yikes, 28 degrees here. Guess I forgot to watch the weather. Had left my hose reel connected, so flushed it a couple times this morning to prevent it from freezing up. Quick (I hope, wife will be along) trip to Ace Hardware this morning, maybe Altman Plants. Altman is huge and has public sales at wholesale prices, cannot be beat.

LS, yes it's a restaurant...in an old building that was built over a spring...it is still flowing into a stone lined pool in what looks like a cave right in the main dining room. Good food.

Kilroy, hope your cold is better.

Replaced two bluebird houses, and cleaned out 4 others. They all seem to be in good spots that the bluebirds like. The Evening Grosbeaks are still here...have stayed since January 9th...never had them hang more than a week in winter. They are sunflower vacuums.

Drinking hot coffee. 17° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 44° with partly cloudy skies. Sun came out about noon yesterday and melted ice on driveway and walkways where sun shines. Areas in shade did not melt. Put ice melt done. Poor Sassy wanted to go out and take care of her business. Turns out grass blades with ice on them turned into little spikes. I went out in snow boots and trampled down a area so she could get to where she wanted to go. All north window on house still have a sheet of ice on them. Should melt today. Was looking for some papers yesterday. Ended up emptying out the whole 2 drawer file cabinet. relabeling all the file holders and putting papers back in. Did not find what I wanted in there. Went to another cabinet. Papers where on top of the pile in first drawer. Ended up cleaning out that cabinet also. 2 Large bags of paper to burn today. Should be nice out after it gets above freezing.
Staying out of freezing rain.

Drew, put on you Bucket List a List to visit Fredericksburg, TX. With a side trip to Luckenback. Wife and I spent a whole winter in the area in 2007.

Cat in basement will jump on dryer, from there jump on cabinet top, then get on ceiling of basement bathroom. It’s 8ft, basement is 9 ft.
Today it figured out to walk from there across ductwork and get to shelves on other side of the wall, and then get down on side he ain’t supposed to be.
So I piled boxes on top of the cabinet so he would have no space to land. Within 5 minutes, as I sat and watched, he was up there.

Now I screwed a ceiling under those 2x4s out over the cabinet. Will see how long this takes.

Or you could ArmorAll the top of the cabinet and dryer and maybe get something on America’s funniest Videos…

28 outside this AM. Upper 40's expected. Like wngsprd, hoping the winds will help dry things out.

Feeding horses last night, stepped right and a gush of mud went from my toes to my thigh. Talk about projectile squishy. Had to change my pants. LOL. My koi-less pond now has a child pond next to it. The water is just not going where it should. I expect Summer when it gets here, any day now, to be draught conditions.

Today, will finish up framing and vinyl on that one side of the Milk House. If I get bold, maybe hang the door.
