Good Morning
It’s 32 and supposed to go up about 10 degrees before sunset today.
Yesterday I finally got the tractor serviced, and I have to say that probably my only complaint with this tractor, a Kubota
L6060 is that the oil filler is quite inaccessible. You have to unbolt a cover, and still use a long funnel to snake through looms of wiring to put the oil back in. And it would be worse if you tried it with the loader on it. But it uses no oil between changes, so it’s like a once a year issue. Otherwise it’s a very well engineered machine.
Spent the rest of the day in the shop tinkering in general. Listened to Friday night’s recording, and pulled a song or two out and played with them. Because it’s usually the same group of musicians, the room is set up to record 24 tracks with pretty much the push of a button, so I generally record the entire evening, as long as I remember to push the button.
This afternoon I’m off to Sebring, this time in the jet, as I need to maintain proficiency in it. Not as much “fun” as the turboprop, but a smoother, more comfy ride.
So Drew, what vacuum did you decide on? I have always been fascinated by the Dyson offerings, but we have had the same Nutone central system in the house since I built it. I did change the motor once with a slightly bigger one, as the exact replacement wasn’t available. Been through many hoses and floor tools though. The current power head is an electric powered Sebo. The air powered ones never seemed to work as well. With the power cable in the hose, the electric is just as convenient.
I remember my mom having Electrolux vacuum’s when I was a kid, as well as Kirby.
