Good Morning
It’s 32 and supposed to go up about 10 degrees before sunset today.

Yesterday I finally got the tractor serviced, and I have to say that probably my only complaint with this tractor, a Kubota L6060 is that the oil filler is quite inaccessible. You have to unbolt a cover, and still use a long funnel to snake through looms of wiring to put the oil back in. And it would be worse if you tried it with the loader on it. But it uses no oil between changes, so it’s like a once a year issue. Otherwise it’s a very well engineered machine.

Spent the rest of the day in the shop tinkering in general. Listened to Friday night’s recording, and pulled a song or two out and played with them. Because it’s usually the same group of musicians, the room is set up to record 24 tracks with pretty much the push of a button, so I generally record the entire evening, as long as I remember to push the button.

This afternoon I’m off to Sebring, this time in the jet, as I need to maintain proficiency in it. Not as much “fun” as the turboprop, but a smoother, more comfy ride.

So Drew, what vacuum did you decide on? I have always been fascinated by the Dyson offerings, but we have had the same Nutone central system in the house since I built it. I did change the motor once with a slightly bigger one, as the exact replacement wasn’t available. Been through many hoses and floor tools though. The current power head is an electric powered Sebo. The air powered ones never seemed to work as well. With the power cable in the hose, the electric is just as convenient.
I remember my mom having Electrolux vacuum’s when I was a kid, as well as Kirby.

good morning you all, 31 going to 43 nice day for this time of year. Cody woke us up early barking. He hears trucks in the next over driveway he feels like telling us about it. Must be a built in Shepherd trade from the Shetland Islands.

Put the oil on downstairs to get some heat going and started the wood fire upstairs. Only use oil for an hour or so.

The Jotul Oslo and Blaze King stoves seem to get good reviews and will look into those further. This will be a next year project for sure.

My parents had a Nilfisk vacuum. I think they still make them. See the link below about some of the history of Nilfisk.

Good morning = Yes lovely spring weather here. Oh wait it's December... ah yes, this is why we live in this little pocket of Mediterrainian climate. Finished up the backyard drainpipe project phase 1 where I replaced a 45º coupler with a 3 ft sweep.
I'll rest a bit as that was plenty of digging for an old guy for awhile. Phase 2 will be to dig up a midsection and install clean outs so I can run a snake in the drain as needed. Eucalyptus tress send a lot of hard berries down he drain and root invasion is a regular thing.
Sunday - plan on taking a little drive in the country today. And piddle around with some barn shop project(s)

Roasted a very large pepper yesterday on the grill until completely charred and then peeled it after cooling.

Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 6:15AM.
Periods of rain. High 54F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch.
About 1.4" of rain since it started yesterday morning, and more on the way. Very light wind, and so far at least, no downpours, either. Hope it stays that way.

As far as I can tell, Bruce, the only air the stove uses for combustion comes from the outside vent.

+1 for Dyson here. One hand held, looks like some kind of Rube Goldberg space gun. The other is an upright corded animal; it'll suck the chrome off a trailer hitch, and a HEPA filter keeps the dirt inside.

Cams caught these two sneaking around night before last:
The second one wasn't too bright...

Got a start on installing a new electronic ignition on the red bike yesterday. Most of that was fabricating a bracket to hold a new coil.

Not sure what I'll get into today, but whatever it is will be inside.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend.
