Good Morning! Happy thanksgiving! 60˚ thunder storms, light wind from the West, turning from the East and then later from the North. Temps staying in the 60s all day. 100% chance of rains thru Saturday, we are finished with our Holiday travels so let it rain.
We had our Thanksgiving yesterday at Mom's and also set up her Christmas tree. The new recipe Turkey loaf was very good, with the main ingredients mushrooms and white beans and poultry seasoning spices. The homemade cranberry/apricot relish, stuffing, and gravy complemented the loaf very well. The sweet potato pecan pie was a little dry, will have to work on that recipe a little. Looking forward to leftovers today and watching it rain and making a carrot cake which will be my tractor driving snack tomorrow at work.
We drove by the "Farm" yesterday on the way home from mom's and I was surprised to see about 40 cars in the parking lot since it is closed till tomorrow, then I saw the tractor on the farm's road pulling the trailer, there must have been a private party yesterday. I Still don't know if the opening day of the Christmas season is still on for tomorrow with the weather prediction but it will be an interesting day and I have the afternoon shift so they will have it figured out by then, no wasted driving trip I hope.
PJ, new job, new year. Good to hear you got out of the war zone.
Bird, our lake level is down 17' from being full and 2.5' down from this time last year so the rains are still needed after the drought this Summer. We are still on one day only a week watering but I have not needed to water for 4 weeks with just enough rain once a week.
Bird, dizziness is a common side effect of Meloxicam, but if it persist it is recommended to contact your Dr. and maybe he can prescribe a different drug.
