Coffee is done brewing. 63° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 91° with lots of sun. Nice trip to Ann Arbor, MI. yesterday. Freeway closed in one direction. Along with various construction projects along the way. Lucky I did it early in morning before all the students got out of bed. Garden pond maintenance this morning. Then cut lawn around buildings where it grows the most. Then in out of the heat for some afternoon NASCAR.

newbury, I use Quick Reply for most of my post. If I go to Advanced for added features I get the 1/2°. When doing preview I get it there also. I have gotten in the habit of checking one last time before hitting Post. Even then it will show up. Then I use Edit Post. With all the other crazy typing characters that show up I have stopped worrying about it.

Eric, every time I cut grass I get at least a dozen swallows flying around. Been seeing them around when not cutting grass. Lately up high. Never thought that was because bugs were making them go that high.

Prayers for all those in need.

Good Morning All.

70 and a ground fog layer creeping up the hill. Should hit 92 and not rain again - 2 days in a row...a new record for the past month.

Changed the oil in my zero turn - interesting to see how dirty it was since I only ran the previous day's oil change just long enough to warm it up. I used Rotella T6 this time.

Then also changed the hydraulic filter...I tried a trick to try to keep any fluid from running out while changing the filter...used the lift kit to raise the mower, which lifted the filter to the highest part of the transmission. The only hydraulic fluid lost was what was in the filter itself...a measured 1 cup. So added 1 cup of new fluid back, and no mess. Then mowed most everything...I think that is the 3rd time in 7 or 8 days.

Son bringing his new Brittany puppy and a date to visit for lunch. I used to raise Brittanies and hunt them, so looking forward to seeing one again.

65 high of 90 today sunny typical August weather here. Got done work about 2:00 yesterday not much else but after dinner went for a nice ride with the top down a lot of back roads. Ran thru lots of work on the pipe line going thru lots of erosion and the like. Ground is sopping wet from all the rain.

Kyle hope you get the gator fixed, David hope the hurricane misses you

Thomas some noises about the upcoming winter I’ll leave you in suspense for now

Prayers for all those in need

65 right now...high in the upper 80's and dry.

Other then the dump run, yesterday was mostly catching up on old X-Files I'd recorded. Somewhat of a write off day, but I'm glad we got the rain...surely needed it!

As soon as it dries up a bit, I'll head out and mow

Good Morning!!!! 69F. Partly cloudy. Areas of smoke and haze are possible, reducing visibility at times. High 89F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Kyle, I think I'd try your hill idea, making sure that the wheels were chocked, and perhaps using the bucket on the ground as a stop, too. Then put an extra clean container under where you've opened the system to catch whatever comes out, with the of putting it back in when you're done.

No word on the smog check from the mechanic, as expected. Serial disappointment

The old BMW is a roller now, with a little help from a friend...

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of he weekend...

71 outside this AM. Heading to 90 or so. Dumped chems into pool drained it too. Nice and clear. Dodged one. Still have standing water in places. Mosquitos are numerous and big. When you splat one they leave a nice blood spot. Bigger than what I want to see or am accustomed to seeing. Was on road yesterday so today is catch up day on grass, burn pile and run in.

Hope all have a great day. Prayers too.

66F clear sky 90 for high, the 3H's moving in least until Friday. :(

Nice to see brook streams running water again and gardens grass dark green...sure needed the rain.
Yesterday wasn't completely wasted day outside... light rain call fire department ask for burn permit for brush pile and told "you can only burn 5pm to 9pm" I guess I need to make smaller brush piles  and w/clearing sky clearing no permit. :(
Today mow the main lawn sharpen blades give the rider good bath, rest of the day take it as it comes.

Enjoy the day all.

71 this morning and headed to 90 today.

Wife wants to take the boys to the zoo. So it’s a trip to either Louisville or Nashville. Both about 2 hours drive. Probably be Louisville as that’s where my sister is.

Chicken coops are washed and 2 are pushed up. Guy is here pushing the other 2 up today. He wants to haul tomorrow. Short run. Maybe 9 miles round trip. So 2 trucks will easily get that in a day/day and half.

Eric. Forgot to say thanks for the info on the sheep.
