Good morning, the low temperature was 25 and going up to 36°F. Zero wind. Cloudy.

I think today will be an energy conservation day.

Happy Birthday Mrs mpham.

Have a safe day all

Just got a call from Son. He tested positive from a alligator bite. Was looking forward to their visit. Thanksgiving dinner will still be at other sons place as planned.
My first pre-coffee thought when I read that was the doctor must be pretty desperate for billing if he has to order a test to see if your son had actually been bitten by an alligator. . . Like, you kinda HAVE to know. . .

post coffee I realize it is for the infection.

having had a rapidly-advancing infection from a bite once before (Mickey Mouse hand in about three hours), I can fully sympathize!

Make sure he does the COMPLETE course of antibiotics and doesn’t cheat once the swelling goes down. Activia is your friend. . .

Good trip to town. Ended up having breakfast with wife at a place we haven’t eaten at in years.

Grass dried enough to mow the dogs area. I’m sure they will be happy. It was really thick and tall.

Got another lockset changed out.

Dennis, sounds like you are slowly getting better.🤙

Oh.... Sheetz gas stations in VA are selling gas at 1.99 until November 28th.

Not offered in MD or WVA due to State Laws on pricing. :(

Fill'er up boys and girls!

Good price, but I passed on it yesterday...it is for their E15, and am not familiar enough with it to put it in my truck, even though it says 88 octane.

Good Morning.
Its 33 with a high of 45 predicted under clear skies. Tempest is saying that it’s 20. Tracking says replacement will be here Friday.

Nantucket trip went well, I used the little plane to commute, it turns an hour drive into a 9 minute flight, not counting the 15 minute drive to the local airport, or getting it out of the hangar. Uses about four times more gas than the Prius though.
Nantucket airport was quiet instead of the usual zoo around holidays. Noticed that there was a portable military radar setup up, it is interesting to see the amount of hardware that moves with the president.
Had a nice lunch on the return flight, hopped in the little plane and was back in Doylestown before I knew it. When I was putting it back in the hangar I saw two Newfoundlands run out of the hangar next to me. Very friendly and well behaved.
Here is one of them playing with an elf.

Got back to work on the counter project, the mission creep continues, this morning I’m going to add a couple of outlets for the counter. Then I’ve got to load up the wife for an indoor market on Black Friday. This time, I’ve got to go unload and help set up though. It’s an interesting location, a large dairy barn that has been restored and converted into an event venue. No expense was spared in the restoration either. Those projects alone should keep me busy for the day.

PJ, very sorry to hear of your disaster, hopefully the equipment damage is limited, and there were no instruments involved.

40º going just over 70º today. These days are beautiful. Rain forecasted for Monday.
I guess I better flush and complete the yard drain project. Like to have it at least repaired (not backfilled until proven)before the next rain.
Bought a hotrod yesterday. Are there any old car buffs here? I have some.

Morning all, 31 going up to 55 and I see the great ball of fire in the trees.
Got one load of panels yesterday, second load said they called me , left vmail and I was not there.
Since my phone had no phone call or vmail, they are full of it. Now have to wait around for them again today.

Got one panel up on the wall last night, had to work late on day job.

Happy birthday to the Mrs. Phil!

Neighbor saw the turkeys parade through her yard and one looks albino. Probably same ones I saw up in trees a few days ago.

Ron sorry son has the gator, hope he recovers quick.

Peeled and sliced a bunch of apples for pies last night. Wife made into apple crumble pies.
Recipe is a duplicate of what we used to get from Delicious Orchard in NJ, became too far a drive and they would not guarantee a pie if we drove there. So wife got creative and hers is a very close recipe.

Happy Thanksgiving for all in the US.

Good morning! 52˚F heading to 59˚F as the high today. South wind and cloudy with rains starting tonight thru Saturday.

Rains have canceled the SIL outdoor Thanksgiving. Mom gets the fruits of the cook-a-thon yesterday. Brother has a medical procedure today and can't come down this week. Looks like a lot of re-grouping for Christmas for us. The rainout in Houston will allow me to work the trailer ride at the farm on the first day of the Christmas Festival. With a good chance of rain here also those plans are also subject to change.

Ron, I see you too are having a hard time getting all your family together.
PJ - Having been flooded before also I feel your grief. (mine was rain, 2 weeks before I got married in the new home I just bought, a sinking feeling pulling into the attached garage in a canoe.)
Phil happy birthday to your wife, beautiful flowers.

33°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 61° today. Looks like we're in for a little rain tomorrow.

We have two inside cats. One is a mouser, the other is not. They had both alerted us that there was a critter trying to get in, and we'd both heard it in quiet moments. We've had traps set both in the house and along the adjoining wall in the garage, the old-type Victor, using peanut butter as bait. No hits on those, unfortunately. Mice are a regular problem this time of year. We've never had one get this destructive, though.

I've lost a tube guitar amp, a digital effects processor, and a couple of electronic pedals. The amp wasn't cheap, and it's not replaceable as that company went out of business a few years ago (it's a Carvin V3MC three-channel combo, and was the very last one they made). The Digitech RP-7 processor was bought used on eBay about 15 years ago, and wasn't being used anymore. My Jackson guitar got wet, but seems OK so far. Dried it out as fast as I could, but time will tell there. It's one of my favorite guitars. My Anton Krutz upright bass also got a little wet, but none got inside.

I was telling The Wife that I'd been thinking about selling that amp for awhile, but had just earlier that week decided to go ahead and keep it. Funny how that works, huh.

A few months before I got married, Don, I had a drain backup in the basement of my house, and came home one day to 28 inches of water in the basement. Lost a lot of music equipment that day, as well as the HVAC and water heater. Some of the electronics I thought I had saved ended up dying a slow corrosion death, including my beloved Pearce bass preamp. That's part of what makes this so painful, is knowing that I don't know what else will perish over time.

So it goes.

Happy Birthday to your wife, Phil.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve to our US members.

Good morning, gents.

Being that distructive around here I would blame a red squirrel, they are not much bigger then mice in body diameter just longer and are very destructive.

Up late, feeling about the same. Was up in the night some.

I’m sad I won’t be able to go to Ohio for thanksgiving. I haven’t seen dad in awhile, but also will miss seeing other family also, like nephews family. Only 1 of my 3 brothers, and 1 of 2 remaining sister will be there.

My son is coming up from TN, but has to wait for a delivery before he can leave. I doubt he makes it half way tonight. I’m figure the order won’t arrive today anyways and it will come Friday.

Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 7:00AM.
Plenty of sunshine. High 72F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Always PB in the snap traps around here. I keep one in the truck, too, and should add one in the van...

I once dropped a cell phone in the toilet, and resurrected it by placing it in a zip loc bag with a fair amount of rice inside. That was left on the dash of my truck sitting outside in the sun. Hope you don't need that trick, Paul.

Lots of us love to see pics of hotrods (and motorcycles) here, scootr. Post away!

While going through "motion events" from the security cams yesterday I found this:
I've only ever seen them once, and that was miles away from here. Not sure if I'm happy to see them, as their teeth are very sharp and most of the outdoor plumbing is PVC...

The apple crumble turned out to be very good, but not sure about the whisky-cream stuff to be poured over the top. Took twice as many apples as called for to fill my pan, but now we have more to enjoy. Still need to bake a pie, and not sure whether to do that today or early tomorrow morning. Still have plenty of Granny Smith apples.

Took a hike down to the lake yesterday, and even made the loop by the old cement kiln. Quite a bit of the blow down that blocked the road/trail last time was gone, but we still did some climbing and ducking to get through. The Oroville lake level is still about 35 feet higher than when we walked the bed last year, but there are a lot of sand bars showing already.

Nice sunset last night, then a simple chili dinner.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

It is funny that we are still using the alligator expression for the disease that we are not allowed to talk about. Don started that didn't he? (y)
