27 degrees here. About 3" of snow, over the last two days. I got the 3pt snow blower moved to the pole barn and hooked up the rear blade. I tried a light pass on the drive, but the stones are not frozen yet so it (I) started making a mess. I'll just drive on it awhile until it's froze good.
Fiber optic phone/internet/TV company is dropping their TV service in a few months and want me to take DirecTv stream. I don't like the channel lineup and I have set up a satellite account (DirecTv "Choice" channel lineup) and after two days of snafu, the install is scheduled for tomorrow. Lots of trees to the south of the house, so we'll see if they can find a good spot for the dish. On a corner of the pole barn might be good, but they'll need to (eventually) bury the cable that runs to the house. Winter is here.
Anyone have a remote satellite dish mounted to their out building or on a stand alone (8 foot?) pole? How long can the cable run be?
