53F clear sky low 70's for high more clouds than sun.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Had bedroom window open last night,that was mistake both kittens want to set in the window sill at the same time.

Not dull moment setting on the deck watching critters,3 foxes kept patrolling which keep the deer and raccoons in check just about dark yard boss show up 9 point buck easy over 200lbs.he let be known he didn't like the scent rope I put up yesterday morning,small maple took bad beating.

Plans for today...2 stops in town,take back pack blower for short hike,maybe get one things to do check off list,watch some football.

The critters on the move lot just before sunset just after sunrise,so far in our area 8 deer,4 moose,1 bear number turkeys vs vehicles.

Yes, I had to toss her off once for clawing me too much.

We camped in the yard, pretty good campsite but no full hookup.
First time using camper all year, so still winterized from last year. So in house early for bathroom.

Had a little rain in the night. No water noticed, but the front wall is damaged from water. Have to look at the roof seam above it. It leaked a few years back and I had to caulk it.

Good morning! 48˚F, light north wind at 2mph shifting South in a few hours and temp rising to the 70s by noon. Mostly sunny a good day for the Farm to dry but I'm taking my boots for this last muddy weekend.

off in an hour to get a little mud on its carbide teeth

hmmm, on second thought, I think I'll go put a piece of wood under those teeth. Only going three miles but no sense

Youngest son dropped his iPhone yesterday and chipped and cracked display. So going to apple store today. He’s buying himself a new screen for his birthday. And the case he ordered for it comes today.

Good morning! It was 56 when I crawled out of bed this morning! High is supposed to be 77 or so today, some rain tonight.

Forgot to post these a few weeks ago. My $100 HF trailer after a mild rebuild. New deck, new paint, new lights.





Painted the deck with non skid paint, figured that would be better when hauling things with rubber tires and walking on it. Side boards are now back on it and it is full of wood again that needs split.

Been busy all week. Not sure what today will bring. The bath remodel and front entrance replacement projects are moving along. Contractors have been here, material is ordered. Front entrance is 3+ months out due to material availabilit.

Y nephew is now going to do 2 floors and replace the carpet. Lots of changes.

Morning all, sun is up and it's going up to 76, heading backwards towards summer ??

Got some more leafs moved and ground up. Problem with being surrounded by forest is the tons of leafs.
But it's only for few weeks every year.

Will be outside today, many chores on the list, taking down and packing up Halloween stuff is first. Then to cut up a tree that fell across my lower trail entrance.

Been a lot of military craft overhead the last two days..looks like Philly bound. Wonder if he will get car/plan/helicopter jacked, since car jacking is so common there.

Pregnant cow shot, killed on Weare farm

A family in Weare is asking for answers after a pregnant cow was shot and killed on their farm.

It is a shame the cow got shot by an ignorant "hunter" or some stupid S O B that just wanted to shoot something.
As far as being pregnant on most any farm cows are pregnant most of the time, most places will be looking at getting cows breed 60-90 days after giving birth.

Good morning to all! Low of 22°, going up to 50° today, mostly sunny. The winds were still ripping at 2200 last night. Strong breezes this morning, gust up to 30 mph. Not as bad as yesterday.

We saw on the news there was a tornado in Paris, Tx. The strange thing about it, I was looking online at some property there yesterday morning..... wifey said that property has been scratched off the list.....

One good thing about the wind..... I don't have to clean up the leaves in the landscape beds around the house.... they all blew away to the fields. Nice!

On my trip into town yesterday, I was watching this landscape guy trying to put a bunch of leaves he cleaned up onto a tarp. He was about 3/4 finished when a gust came up, lifted the tarp and re-distributed the leaves from where they came. When it happened, he just stood there.... When I was leaving the store, he was packing up his truck/trailer, leaves still on the ground. He probably shouldn't have even attempted it.

Not sure what I will get into today. Need to refill the bird feeders again. Might tinker around in the shop for a bit.
Depending if the wind settles down, we might try to empty 4 planter boxes containing an over abundance of asiatic lily bulbs. Need to get them separated and stored for next year. They will get replanted into the CMU border in the courtyard.
