good morning all
warm cloudy day up to 75 today
slept well, up early, hope to have a fun day with the driveway scraper at a friends.

Scaredy, hope the movie was fun and you got some mental relief. Lot to go through...hang in there.

hope you all have a nice weekend.

remember the tv show "the $64,000 question"

for us that will be guessing the total number of pounds of squash RS and wife grew. Must be in the hundreds.

I dug out seeds of the delicata and one other squash given to me, will save them for next year. Best kind of recycling.
A squash is the gift that keeps on giving.

next frost will take down the blackberries but that is one healthy plant. Will need to cut canes pretty far back for the winter.
I couldn't resist...the one blackberry in the middle had just a touch of red at the bottom, so I figured it was still sour, but it did come off
the vine with a little tug, and oh my, a little sour, but a big burst of sweet blackberry wine. Big seeds though, a little crunchy, but like taking
a vitamin C pill off the vine.

buy your Powerball tickets. Largest one in history.
I need a new tractor...

Drinking first cup of coffee. 57° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 69° with rain and high winds. Wind and rain should make last of the leaves drop from trees. Did not get generator oil changed yesterday. Will try to get it done today after weekly run. Repaired neighbors pole saw and sharpen it's chain yesterday. Today may a good day to put basket of laundry away that I washed early this week.
Squirrel is finding it harder to hide now that most of the leaves have fallen.

For most everyone in USA. Do not forget to turn your clock back before going to bed tonight. Except for those in AZ and HI.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Yep, it got a little windy here, but nothing serious. And my little gauge got 1.6" of much needed rain. The TV kept having storm warnings breaking into what we were watching, and it appears that severe damage and even one death occurred around the Texas/Oklahoma border northeast of us, so I reckon we were quite lucky yesterday.

58 going to 77.

Don, hope the battery does the trick.

Thomas, you had a lot of critters out there.

Muzzleloader season opens today. Already many hikers on the Appalachian Trail were wearing some blaze orange, where it passes through National Forest land.

Good morning, low temp 57 and high to 66°F. Wind S 9 mph. 40% chance of showers. Wind advisory still in effect.

Got three loads off to the dump yesterday and dropped the trailer at her place so she can load it at her leisure.

Got two apartment size freezer lids yesterday, they will do for a start. If worst comes to worse, I have a freezer here that I can cut up. If I do that I will take the sides, too.

IF the high winds happen here, then it will be tree watch. If they don't and it rains then I will be cutting up freezer lids. If it doesn't rain then it will be dump runs. I am fairly flexible in that regard. All my winter preparation work is done, including the pam treatment on all the snow contact implements. Took 5 cans, got 'em at the dollarstore for $2.oo/can.

Have a safe day all

Good morning. Another mild day 63 going to 71. A little rain in the forecast tomorrow but the mild temperatures continue.

Did some planting near the house yesterday in a flower bed that was prepared for planting earlier. Blew a lot of leaves away from the driveway around the house. Still more leaves to come down but the end is in sight.

Talked to my tree cutting neighbor yesterday and had a good talk. It is better to be on good terms and he was happy about our plans to plant Cypress Leland trees and build a firewood shed. Pointed out where the property line is several feet into the area he had cleared. He seem to accept that and told him for now we would wait and see if a fence would also be added. The trees will be planted Thursday next week and will continue to prepare the base for the firewood shed before setting the poles. The neighbor works from home on cyber security issues. He has an old school friend who lives in Saudi Arabia and we shared stories about the regime and living in Saudi Arabia.

Plan to do some car maintenance today and set up hoses for watering of the two tree planting areas, Cypress Leland and the other area with Green Giant trees. They need to be watered 3 times a week in the beginning for a hour each.

Bulbs are also on the agenda to be planted on the other side of the house

Cody went back to sleep after sleeping since 8:00 PM yesterday. But at least he is rested

Evening all, been a couple of weeks, have to get caught up again.
Been busy playing with leaves and getting stuff ready for when the next season arrives lol. The weather has been great for outside stuff. The Mrs had an interesting bug bite on her back, thing turned into a big cyst and when it popped and drained it left a hole about 1/4” diameter and 3/4” deep. She went to doc’s and they dug around inside, cleaned it up and packed it with gauze, I had to pull that out, clean and repack every day until it healed enough you couldn’t stuff gauze in it anymore, took about 2 wks. It’s mostly healed up now.

Saw this on the news a couple days ago, I know mistakes can happen, but time to man up!

Whoever did it truly dumb@ss.
