Even after sunset I was burning my feet on the street and the air was like sticking your head in the oven, so Whipper got to walk herself in the backyard. Going to try a morning walk around the block. Might get a shower at 3am so hopefully it might cool off a bit.

Yep, got to 105 degrees, by a bit after 4 pm and didn’t start to drop until almost 7 pm. Humidity was in low 20% and almost no breeze.

Reminded me of spring in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Not a lot of mowing, but there,s tomorrow. Did get 21 gal of E free gas. Tundra topped off, too.
Made a couple nice improvements in the shop.

Those are 3 pullout Coke carriers on right, not sure what will end up in them, and a shallow slide out on the left likely will get some tools like extra socket set etc.
the Coke carriers on extreme right are home to sanding supplies.

Pegboard walls still needs lots of work, but will come much later.

Yet more sunshine for us and no sign of any break soon. We don't get the same heat as many but the UV content is the same, I've never got through as much sunblock cream in a summer.

Later this week it's my wife's birthday. I already have a card and sorted a present (can't say what it is yet - it's a secret ) so all is good, except - a while ago I bit the bullet and ordered myself a Grammer air seat. An expensive luxury but my back insists it will be worth it. Only thing is it's due to arrive on the same day as her birthday. Mmm, maybe that delivery needs to be delayed :confused2:

68.7 high in upper 70s today more rain on tap already 2.1in since Sunday. This is a very unique system more winter like and once it’s done another very similar moves in next week feel like we live in the tropics

76 outside this AM. Heading to lower 80's. Very humid. More rain expected today. The frogs are very happy. My neighbors pond lost some fish which are now resident's of my drainage ditch. Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Good morning all, 70 going to 77 with a 90% chance of heavy rain. 111 in of rain this week and the predicted heavy rain has so far been a nice steady rain. Plan to work/play in the shop today.

Rip, is there a good shady spot that you can sit in when you go fishing? Sorry, could not help it. Hope this thing gets worked out.

Ed some of the rain we have had is comes down so hard that in short spurts that it drowns out normal speech when sitting on the front porch over one inch in 20 minutes

Good morning all. Great day for ducks, just pouring at the moment, about two inches of rain so far, more on the way, and more tomorrow.

Interesting timing, but good timing. Water Dept inspector was out at lane checking my meter. Supervisor this time, hmmm. He pulled into the driveway while I was mowing and said hi, that he was here to check on high water usage. Well l do have garden. Uh, 17,000 gallons worth of garden? Say what? Geez, my normal water bill is 28 bucks, jumping to 70 with this garden. How I used more than twice that in one month, looks like I left the sprinklers on too long...definitely adding some cost to my tomatoes...
.009 per gallon seems cheap, but now it sure mounts up. Well, one more month of this.

off to primary care doc this morning to go over some out of range lab results, and to ask for/demand a Shingrix shot for shingles. Two friends have now gotten shingles in the last year and it hasn't been pretty. Only has a 70 percent success rate but supposed to reduce severity substantially. Viruses are tough to beat.

Then off to lunch with a friend, and umbrellas will be out.
