Coffee is brewing. 48° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with cloudy skies. Got wood chips moved to neighbors pile. About 4.5 yards. Need to change oil in whole house generator today. Then do some relaxing on back porch. Enjoying this warm spell of weather.
Thought this little guy was a Chipmunk. Until it turned around to eat its find.

Good morning! 73˚F chance of hail and tornado as cold front moves through a tumultuous day predicted by the sensationalist on TV.

So the question do I risk taking my truck in to the shop to get 3 electronic touch handle door locks fixed or wait till next week. The truck is out of warranty by 4 days so it does not really matter and they want $200 as a diagnose fee +. parts and labor to actually fix it and for me to deal with Ford if I think it should be covered under warranty, which I'm reading is nearly impossible, plus parts availability issues and no loaner cars since covid, they are still hurting financially, and my poor truck will be subject to the harsh weather, possibly hail later today and this is my last weekend to work. Think I just talked myself into delaying the repair till next week, my tractor pay spent so soon, sigh. I exhausted all possible internet searches to figure out the problem. If they have to replace the door handle they only come primed so they will have to be painted. More $$$$ and time.

if you have three bad door handles, this sounds like a recall item. Door handles are an ingress/egress safety item and I wonder if they
are part of longer warranty?
Nice Ranger, this is sure unexpected.
did you find other instances online?

something similar happened to me when I owned a VW Golf TDI. VW dealership flat out lied to me, denied there was an issue regarding
water ingestion during winter months due to defective design of intake manifold. Finally corporate admitted it and recalled them all.
VW dealer knew all about it, just stonewalled.

I would sure keep the repair bill....and I hope they fix it for you.

46 going to 72.

BEF, good news on your doctor visit, and Sodamo, good to hear the report on Sophie's eyes.

Mostly, the mulch cover blocks the mower deck exit opening to keep the leaves in the path of the blades longer. Shreds them well.

Hiked to what I've now added to my favorite mountain list...Spy Rock, from Crabtree and The Priest. Ended up hiking to a shelter further down the trail, and setting a new distance record for me. Still running into thru-hikers, all headed south, of course. Talked with one younger man for a while that is prepping to start his thru-hike in February...plans to get arrive at this spot on April 21...I told him I'd be there hiking and look forward to seeing him again.

I think I'll take a conservation day and go get some Tex-Mex to recharge.

Good morning! 49 going to 71 very mild today

Going to return the defective ignition coil for the Stihl chainsaw this morning. Was reviewing again the installation but concluded that it is defective coil. Not very complicated installation.
Wife's shoulder pains are getting worse and trying to help her as much possible. Shoulder joints are down to bone on bone that is painful when moving.

Thanks, started searching again with new key words.
I just now found this one. It sounds like my problem and the truck battery needs to be changed. The spare fob does not work either so I ruled out the fob as the problem. Will try a new truck battery next. I'll check the auto stop.

"Nope! The Fob battery I changed first just in case. It was the REAL Battery. Only the Driver door handle worked to lock and unlock by touch. Afterword all handles worked again. I actually changed it because Auto Stop/Start had stopped working because of the constant charging required by the low battery."

Good Morning
It’s 39 and going to top 70 with clear skies after a bit of fog burns off.

Yesterday’s trip went well, nice weather, everything according to plan. Mission BBQ for lunch, home in time to do some chores, moved some portable paddock panels and put them together for my wife. She has a group of seniors coming to see alpacas today, and was worried about them walking around the barn, so she is going to bring some up and put them in the temporary paddock just off the pavement. I got the last of the wedding trash and recycling down to the street before calling it a day.

Today’s trip to Raleigh canceled, so I get to do whatever I feel like now. I need to fill the Prius’ gas tank, but even at today’s silly prices it won’t be too painful, as it only has a 10 gallon tank. Want to go to HF and look at rechargeable work lights to see if any would be able to be used to light up display racks for my wife’s setup for indoor markets and craft shows.

Frits, is this like 4 defective coils that you have been through? I would start to think that there might be some other issue in play. I have certainly seen plenty of defective new parts, but it seems like you have had too many to not raise some doubt.

I forgot to add the picture of Cape May, NJ from across the Delaware Bay. I always thought it interesting that there is a sharp line where trees stop on the ocean side of the cape, and continues up the coast to Ocean City.

Pop, this is the first coil that was correct replacement. The others were not the right replacements. So first one that I tried to make work. I mount it with the gap set and spin engine with cordless drill and hold spark plug on cylinder looking for spark and nothing. Disconnect kill wire and repeat and same thing.

in Popgadget's picture what you can't see easily is the Cape May Canal. If you don't want to take your boat "outside" you sneak along the canal which comes out at the
ferry terminal and then Delaware Bay. Left to right about an inch up in this picture.
love these photos from on high

Morning all, 45 going to 73! and thick fog.

Drew, I have a couple of spare cinder blocks if you need them.

M7040 - Maybe something grounding the short circuit wire? A break in the wire to the plug? Not much in those coil packs.

BEF - glad all checked out ok.

We go to Cape May for a few days each year. My old boss lived on a boat when she was there for many years, finally found a house to rent as she was getting a bit older and they sold the boat. Met her down there once.

Well back to work.

Stay well

Good morning to all! Low of 25°, high only expected to go to 45°. A light dusting of snow overnight, making things look pretty.....image.jpg
Unfortunately, the wind is gusting already. Gust up to 40 mph expected. Less wind tomorrow.

Nedd to make a run to Costco this afternoon.... hopefully it won't hurt the wallet too much.

Drew, that might be a fun vehicle.... especially if it has a 350ci in it! knew a guy out here that 'built' an off road buggy. He had a Cadillac 500ci big block in it, a 6 seater, 42" tires on Rockwell drop axles. I never got a ride in it, but was told it could hit 75 mph out in the dessert.

Wng, still some colors out there on the trail... beautiful pics.

Paul, I never knew about that tree line.... used to go to Cape May every summer. The last time we were there was 1992, the day before we moved out here. I miss Wildwood and Cape May..... Maybe next flight over you can get a pic of Wildwood?

Didn't get a good nights sleep last night, just tossed and turned.... going to go try and get a nap.....
Everyone have a great day!
