50F and very sunny @ 13:00, heading up to a high of around 55F for the day. We ended up getting almost a 0.50" rain in the past 24 hours or so (0.46") according to the LWS.

Ten Day still showing nice warm weather through the entire period.

The Squeak cat has a really annoying habit: paws at my face in the morning if she wants fed. If that doesn't get the desired result she hops up on the desk and starts pawing at things (or chewing papers)

Well, this morning it was my phone which was plugged in to the charger.

Knocked it off the desk and it landed such that the connector on the end of the cord broke off in the phone.

Fortunately I think there is enough of it protruding that I can grab it with a pair of hemostats and get it out.

Haven't heard anything further this morning on the state of the washer, know She was planning to run another load through it to see just how bad the leak was.

Headed over shortly to continue work on the back side gutters. They will probably have to be blown out again, then back to replacing hangers and installing covers.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday ... (y)

Well looks like we will be getting our first hard freezes this week. Draining hoses and winterizing sprayers is on the order for today.
Guess I'll also get the portable fuel tank on the trailer for it and get them all filled in the next week or so.
I don't like hot, heavy, humid summer days but I sure don't look forward to the cold days either anymore.

Apparently, Drew thought it was SOOOO GOOD, he didn't care what it was.....
how true, non selective meat candy eater

took a long time to get all those tulips planted, finally figured out why, five bags of 10 and five bags of 20 bulbs. 150 bulbs, I thought 80

will sure have well fed deer in the spring. Though many of these bulbs were planted in between the blueberry bushes while those bushes are still small.
Last year I got lucky with the deer.
wrist is a little sore from all that planting plus did some garden weeding while ground is soft.
And sucked up all the leaves. Did a fine job of clogging blower with pine needles, should have dumped bag earlier. A three trip day
Very nice day out.

now for a dunk in the hot tub

25 degrees Lou, that's a good freeze. Don't forget your powerwasher.

We drove down to Alexandria today and delivered the exercise bike to our daughter. It is a new Sole bike with magnetic brakes on the flywheel that I was not able to use. It will come to good use in her recovery from the Hip replacement. Good thing she had a friend come over to help move it up to her apartment because it is heavy.

it was a pretty drive along the George Washington Parkway and we only had minimum delays on the DC beltway.

Also set up another dental plan and cancelled the old one.

Fatjay hope hip fracture will heal without a lot of discomfort
Wife had a broken angle due to a fall a few years ago

The leaves are coming down all over but the old Pecan tree as usual is the last tree to give up the leaves

You guys can't complain about diesel prices. I paid over $102 for a half tank in the Ranger yesterday. (about 42 litres from memory) That was the cheapest servo. Most are around $1.33.9 per litre. Cheaper to drive the Mustang at the moment.
While shopping yesterday I noticed my toe getting sore while walking around. Now I have full on gout in my right big toe. Hard to walk around so won't be doing much today. Luckily I took some tablets last night but still had a very bad night.
Going to be very hot today. Dreading Summer.

I’m thinking of converting to pex A, if only the expander tool wasn’t so expensive.

Cute pups.

Eat cherries!...
"In a large case-crossover study using an online gout survey (n = 633), cherry intake over a 2-day period was associated with a 35% lower risk of gout attack/flare, and any cherry extract use lowered the risk by 45%. In combination with allopurinol, cherry intake was associated with a 75% risk reduction in gout flares."

I’ve got the Milwaukee M12 one, it was cheaper and easier to handle than my buddy’s M18 one. If I ever(which I can’t imagine) need to work with larger than 1”, I’ll borrow his. I much prefer PEX A.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 13.4C and a predicted High of 18C. It's presently 19C :D and there was 2.7mm of rain in the gauge at 0900. It's also overcast with a breeze that's slowly beginning to evaporate the puddles around the property... at least the septic system is back to normal but it's still too wet to even consider mowing around the house. Chain-harrowing Paddocks 3/4/5 isn't in the cards for quite awhile.

The plan for today is to give myself a much needed haircut and prepare my 'rig' and polish my boots for the upcoming Remembrance Day.

That's about it, take care all.
