Good morning! 53 now, high of 58 or so. Lots of sunshine.

Trailer is done and is going back to work today! The lights even work. Decided to replace those while I had it apart. The original wiring was a mess. Doesn’t even look like the old trailer anymore.

See how the Guardians do at home. Coming out of NY with the series tied is good. The team is young, but they don’t seem to give up.

Did you watch the race last night @Kyle_in_Tex? Jarod Vanderkooi got his first win. Made me happy. He is a good guy from a great family. I have known his dad for a long time. And Kody Kopp got another win.

Probably gonna cut wood today, not sure what else I will get into

While I didn't watch the race, I did see the results, and I meant to mention it. I was wondering if you watched it. I'll bet his family is over the moon right now. I'm glad you are happy. Happy is good.

Regional Burning Ban EXTENDED to Oct 28/22 now ... uggh (just updated this morning)

I guess that we need to be safe a bit longer with these dry conditions. The ban has been in place since April. Today's plans have changed as a result.

I have soooo much to burn, and nothing can be cleaned up on the yard until the wood piles are gone. This is not yard waste, it is garage clear out and other burning junk. The other day i just started to pile things near my burn pit, so that I was ready for 12 noon today to light a match. Now it waits another 2 weeks ... oh well.

Far too much to pay for at the landfill or transfer station. I checked that already ... hoping that they would allow free wood disposal because of the extended ban - nope.

perhaps I should have run for the Regional Director position after all ??? - the provincial election is today.
- part of my "platform" would now be Free Residential Wood Disposal during burning bans

51F and partly cloudy @ 12:30, heading up to a high of only around 57F. Thankfully it appears that winds are calm ... at least at the moment.

Got more work done on pole barn BOM last night.

Also got all the buckets of cat litter dumped yesterday, all groundhog/critter holes under kitchen porch now filled in ... at least until they settle.

Hopper feeder likely due to be refilled by day's end.

Believe The Woman is outside doing garden/flower bed clean up.

I will be heading over to the barn shortly.

Very encouraging to see high temps will be warming back up to near 70F by next Saturday. That could end up being our "Indian Summer" ...

Went out to clean up more of the tree trunks with the tractor and the brackets for the grapple broke so it changed to repair the brackets and weld them back on.

I've been watching the Amazon movie Rings of Power, the prequel to Lord of the Rings.
Nice scenery, I guess in New Zealand and nice costumes, good way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon.

I had an extra car. After getting multiple bids online from Carvana, Carmax, Vroom, etc. I took it to the local Carmax this AM and sold it. Came home BBQ some hamburgers for lunch while they messed around with the paperwork. Will go back in a bit and sign papers and pick up a check. The 2 best days of owning a BMW X5 is the day you buy it and the day you sell it.
Worst user interface ever! Even the shifter was backwards
Gonna get on the tractor and piddle around a bit this afternoon.

Well my back pockets are dragging after 8 hours of leaf duty,Mrs. put in good 4 hours she a leaf chaser.
While Mrs. blowing leaves 5 turkey were trailing little to close for her liking,she would turn around and put the leaf blower to them third time was charm,turkeys had few choice words and feather were flapping as they ran off.
Plans for the evening...not meal enjoy smooth cigar while waiting for critter and stars,and if my aren't to heavy watch some football.

35°F and clear skies this morning, got up to 65° today. Had some frost on the grass during the walk to the barn to feed the chickens.

The boy got up before 07:00 and started packing and staging his stuff by the basement door. A buddy came over and helped him with the heavy stuff, and he had most of his stuff moved out before noon. I was surprised, to say the least.

Wife and I went in immediately and started moving everything out of the room. She then vacuumed and even got out the Bissell carpet cleaner. The whole basement already smells better. After the carpet dries, we'll start moving her sewing room down there. She'll be right across the hall from my studio now, instead of at opposite ends of the house. And, she'll have everything in one room, including her longarm quilting machine, which is really the point of the move. The room upstairs will become the spare bedroom. She's excited for the change.

A drummer buddy of mine is selling a Zoom handheld recorder, so I told him I'd take it off his hands. Supposed to meet up with him this evening.

Had to call an audible today.
Was supposed to head to VA to sign some papers for the lot, but got email about midnight that paperwork never showed up. I said if not there by 9 am I won’t be there, and they weren’t. But that’s ok, wasn’t up for the long drive anyways.

So, we decided to still take a drive and look at leaves.

Drove by many orchards, lots of loaded apple trees.

Trees not quite peak, but lots of nice ones.

Ate lunch at diner in Carlisle, it was nothing special. Did get some homemade ice cream from a shop next door. Decided to head back home then.

Jumped on ZT when I got home, started along creek, then decided to mow other side of creek.

Because of sticks, I mow it with deck fully raised. I did pick up sticks this summer, but more down.
As soon as I got back to other side of creek the inspectors came out.

Ended up mowing everything today, the full 5 acres.

No, the settlement lawyer just didn’t get everything done.
Sellers bought it from an estate, fixed up house, subdivided the lot off, sold the house a couple months ago.

Actually, Wife just got a message about half an hour ago that it was a good match and the adoption went through. Cha-cha has a new furever home.

It's the H4N. Not sure what the difference is between that and the "Pro" model, but I'm sure it has some upgrades.
We were supposed to meet up somewhere along his way to a gig tonight over here in Illinois, but I haven't heard from him. So, guess I'll have to make the 70 mile trek to his house over in Missouri to pick it up, maybe tomorrow.
