Dennis, our cottage started out as a 16x20 shed with gambrel roof. The gambrel roof gave us a low cost 2nd floor. We lived in it while building the house. US, 2 cats,2 dogs, and too much stuff in boxes awaiting their new home.

The house we live in was built by my Wife's grandfather. He dug a walkout basement, finished it, and they lived there while he took his time building the house proper. When we remodeled the place five years ago, we did kind of the same thing; lived in the basement while the entire upstairs part was remodeled, then moved everything up there while the basement was remodeled.

Gave them a pretty good over view from slab to roof and answered any questions they had. She took a bunch of notes. Husband says plan is to be owner-builder. They drove a Mercedes Sprinter van they’ve had since Dec. said the diesel mileage was great.
We have been happy with our Sprinter Van. Getting mileage around 20 mpg at times on trips up to 24 MPG on diesel fuel. It has 180000 miles on it with no major issues except normal brake and suspension parts that I fixed myself. With 180 inch wheel base and 23 ft long it is big but easy to drive

I have a FORD Transit diesel van. The engine is 5 cyl inline. Good power and decent mileage considering 3/4 ton van with increased length and height.
Buddy had an HVAC company with a Sprinter fleet said he tired of the $1k oil changes at MB. He converted over to the FORDs and been happy since.
Made sense and gave me the courage to buy. That was 8 yrs ago -I'm glad we did. This one's a keeper.

yes Mercedes service is expensive. I have used it mainly for some warranty recall items using a Sprinter dealer in Mechanicsburg PA. They take a lot of oil with 15 quarts for an oil change for a relatively small 3 liter Diesel engine

Little rain last night after midnight. Now getting thunderstorms and raining again.
Just got oil changed in the Honda.

Streaming computer at church was off when I got there, the one I just replaced power supply in. Looks like it didn’t survive a Microsoft upside though. Once I turned it on, it was doing an update and it shut down one more time before it was done. So streaming was late for the study, but was fine for worship.

Was going to go and look at sheds today, and maybe pick up a ton of wood pellets next door, but not now. It’s pouring now.
I keep forgetting I have a clogged downspout in the back, I get reminded every downpour.
