59F and clear @ 22:00, headed down to a low of around 56F for the overnight. High hit 76.1F here today and it was absolutely beautiful out. Tomorrow will be even a little warmer.

Started off with finishing the mowing out front and then started on the lawn down here around the house, got that maybe 80% done.

Moved the posts for the fence around the garden from in front of the house to over along the driveway going down to the pole barn.

Also moved the 3PH sprayer from in front of the house out of the way.

Woman worked on trimming up the Japanese yews and doing some string trimming and weeding in the front of the house and the garage. I helped some on the yews as well.

Two dump cart loads of weeds and debris hauled up to the compost pile.

Placed an order for 24 pieces of 2" x 4' x 8' Owens-Corning Formular 250 Foam Board insulation @ Menards this afternoon to get the volume pricing. Ouch.

Six or seven bags of mulch placed around the large maple up behind the shop. Think there's still another 7 bags on that pallet. May consolidate it tomorrow with the other pallet of mulch to get the pallet which I seem to be running short on.

One of the nyjer feeders refilled and the other one brought up to the house for cleaning which The Woman did. Will refill that and get it hung that tomorrow.

The Yellowjacket nest in the shop has grown and is now starting to protrude into the doorway, much more and you'd hit it when opening the door ...

They have been busy little bees ...

That got sprayed twice today and will get hit again tomorrow ...

Need to get into the shop to get some hydraulic fluid for the Kubota, but ain't gonna do it with that nest there.

Had a couple more hotwings and a BLT + salad for dinner.

Ran down to Menards after dinner and picked up the foam board and the first order: a Wen Plate Compactor:

Was a tight squeeze but we somehow managed to get it all loaded in the van ... with only one smashed finger ...

Good evening all. 59ºF for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind, mostly clear sky and high temp was 87ºF. Started today with working on why batteries not charging, cleaned connections and all is well. Connections did not look bad. Changed oil in mower, and sharpen the blade, then mowed front. Good sharp blade works much better . Did find and pull a lot of sandburrs while mowing, need to get some pre-emergent down, really slowed down the mowing. Did get nap in, no bike ride today.
Buppies sorry about the heat coming back. Stay hydrated.

Ted 49ºF is cool. 1/2 inch rain does not go very far when you are that far behind. Sorry to hear about your body ganging up on you. Hope the parts are quieter today.

Major screw up now, shift delete on a whole years worth of pictures. Fortunately I have a backup. 3693 pictures would have been lost forever.

If you don’t know, doing a shift delete is immediate erase, not into the recycle folder. I was in the wrong directory when I did it, but all recovered from backup.

Mixed feelings on the lot. No view, unless you are in a drone, as all the real estate photos were taken. I did take my drone, forgot to charge batteries so only had a short fly.
Stepping onto lot from south, looking north.

Field is crowned, slopes to left (a surprise) and to the right. Not steep, definitely can put a walk out basement facing west or north. Gentle down slope, perc towards bottom.
The tree line on right side of lot is a low area, but not a stream. It makes the right side of the lot about useless between trees and road.

The majority of the lot is woods that goes uphill to the west. Some nice big trees. We found a place to walk in, and pretty open under the trees once past the edge.

The neighbors mowing a good bit into the lot. Probably 40 ft or more. Look south from edge of where they mow.

Met one of the neighbors on south side. very nice lady, had a good chat. She said nice people on the road. Said older guy lives up on the hill behind this lot. Sounds like her husband may have passed away. After talking, She said she hopes we buy it.
Road apparently is homeowner maintained, not public road. It’s ok, but needs work. She said in heavy rains the road can flood, and the low part of this lot will have a lot of water. But, no sign that there has been flowing water, and there’s been a good bit of rain lately.

She said lots of coyotes, has been bears around.

Wish it had been mowed better.

Could not find corner markets. Did not go up in woods far.

Electric is close on the south edge. One pole probably on the property.

Since road wraps around, would be a short driveway from the south where we parked to walk in.

Drove by a couple other lots that weren’t worth looking at.

Up here they tell me 50 and rising. As long as the tar is hot. The stuff I haul comes out of the pipe at 165°F. They call it 'high float', I call it money/poor mans hot mix asphalt.

Didn't feel too bad when I posted yesterday morning, but felt progressively worse as the day (and night) passed.
Up and down quite a bit last night.
I have a webinar at 0730, after that.... some Tylenol and back to bed, I think
