67 cloudy going to 79, and improving humidity.

Sorry, BEF. Don't give up the search.

LS, quite a water story at your place. I think we often take water and electricity availability for granted. I admire those that can live off grid, like Sodamo...and David, by the way, you were serious about how popular spam is there. I don't think they even stock it at all at our Costco.

Got 3 hours of bushhogging done, so now debating on whether to till and plant today. We got abouot a quarter of an inch of rain late yesterday, so maybe the ground is damp enough...I'll take a shovel out and check...otherwise, rain is forecast Sunday.

I buy 1-2 tins of Spam every year, ... on purpose. It's good with that frequency, and I love it in a stir fry, or fried rice dish.

keeps you humble, tastes fine

Very Serious, Wngsprd. Don’t think our Costco has either. That pic was at our Hilo CostULess. But, Safeway, Foodland, KTA, Walmart, Target, Long’s Drug (CVS) to name a few.

I did find out that Mr knee does not like to be bent at the angle that happens when I sit on the little rolling stool. Not at a 90° bend, but more like 50-60°. Had to keep telling myself to straighten it. I wish they could figure out what is wrong with it. Another appointment is scheduled next month with the surgeon.
Sorry to hear about your knee. Knee pains can be frustrating. I suffer from knee pains when walking on stairs on the left one. Xray was normal so seems to be the knee cap is not tracking correctly. Doing leg exercises has helped significantly

Good morning. Plan is to stay home today. High of 77 in forecast. Very nice so time for mowing again at least a couple of areas. Our army veteran son was discharged from the Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg yesterday and moved in to a community veterans house. He has been struggling with mental issues a long time.

mostly_gas - techie friend wants me to call the program support re the bad files (perhaps corrupted ?) and then when that is clearer, he will remote repair with shared screen. I will call in the morning, for now the computer remains on my desk.

Sometimes a file gets corrupted. Most programs, when you go into add/remove program have a repair option.

Drew, everything much higher cost, as I’m finding in real estate and building.

Morning all, going up to 80 and I see the sun, so I guess the rain has moved out. Glad to have had it though.

Back to school night last night, met some of the sons teachers. All seem ok.

LS - it is hard to see your work devolve into chaos, but people are kind of strange when it comes to maintenance sometimes. Hopefully they settle in a bit and you see improvements.

BEF - sorry to hear about having to walk away from the property, but doing your due diligence, like in this case, so well will keep you happier in the long run.

back to work.

after much research, I ordered this for Meeting graveyard gravel road maintenance. Lowest cost solution plus my old Gravely will pull
it perfectly. Last rain brought out more potholes and the fingers started getting pointed. Instead of talking about it, trying to find solution.
Almost bought the fancier electric lift one but figured why, just going round and round on circular gravel road, (no headlands)
plus adjusting is easy
We need more gravel for sure but want to do some prep with this grader first.

Yesterday we helped our youngest get tires. The cost of living has gone up and she is now getting a second job in order to make it. She was a long time drug addict and we took her daughter in to live with us for a period time. We were able to get her into a long term rehab and get her back into society again. There was a lot clean up of her past, warrants, courts, and tickets to deal with but with our help she managed get through this. She is now 5 years clean and is working for a drug rehab center managing the daily activities of the place. She knows the scene very well and she can not be fooled by the stories drug addicts try on her

Good Morning
It’s 65 with a high of 80 under a mix of clouds and sun.

Yesterday was another day in the shop doing such exciting things as sorting and untangling a large tote full of tie down straps.

Daughter came and changed her oil, she brought a key with her that she bought on Amazon, I was able to cut it, and program the immobilizer, but not the remote control buttons. Checked the battery in the key, finally used the same procedure on an existing key, and it worked, so it must be a defective key.

Today is another day without a finite plan, but lots of possibilities.

I got a proposal from a solar company to put a 28kw solar ground array at my house, I’ll have to look it over and give it some thought and research. No off grid capability, just energy offset. First glance, it looks like about an 8 year break even considering incentives from the government and power company. Anyone here have any experience?

Cool and sunny this morning.

Buckeye, it seems like the cost of everything to do with construction is out of wack. I wonder if people who are building now will be able to get their money back when they sell. I get the feeling people have a lot of money to throw around. Hard to tell if things will ever get back to normal. Will I be telling my grand kids that I can remember when you could get a stud for $2?

Drew, Rolling the driveway after grading really helps it last.

Chris

77º going to 98º today. First day under 100 in weeks it seems. Saw as high as 113º last week, lots of 105-108 days. Man that is too hot for man or beast.
Hurricane off the Baja coast coming up. Should bring some much needed rain to So Cal, and AZ. Can't wait to get some cooler weather and get back to my projects.
Looking forward to working the road (after it rains) and removing the summer washboard from the main road in with the new MX (y)
