Popgadget said,"I got a proposal from a solar company to put a 28kw solar ground array at my house, I’ll have to look it over and give it some thought and research. No off grid capability, just energy offset. First glance, it looks like about an 8 year break even considering incentives from the government and power company. Anyone here have any experience?"

I have no person knowledge or experience, BUT . . . our daughter and son-in-law had the solar panels added to their home last month, AND I've noticed new solar panels on 5 homes in my neigborhood within the last 2 months, AND your 8 year break even is about the same that I've heard in this area.

OK, so I know I ain't much help.🤣🤣

Do you still ride motorcycles?
No I don't ride bikes any more. The last bike I had was Suzuki 400 motocross bike that was very light, powerful and fast.
Many years ago worked on some BMW motorcycles left over from world war 2. Design did not change much from the 1940's

I PMd Eric back in May and did not hear back. :-(

I will be in London next week, it may be a bit depressing.
I was in London for Princess Diana's funeral procession many years ago, I have many friends there and co-workers.
Our meetings today all had the news going in the background....

Used to take the bike up to the Ukiah area in California at a motor cycle park and wilderness area. Used it for hill climbing and on a track for motocross. Got it stuck in a canyon when it was new and could not drive it out. Bugged down or flipped as a result of too tall gearing. Had to hike back to the car and leave it and come back next day with ropes and come along

I have no need or desire for off grid, and for backup I’ve got a 22kw standby, and a 25kw PTO generator as back up for that.
It looks like a system is in the 80k range including installation and grid connection. There are substantial credits to offset some of that, but I suspect that the bulk of the savings will go to my heirs. Wife is concerned about placement and aesthetics, so it might be a non starter. A lot of head scratching remains to be done.

Fixed that for you.

We opted out of that a few years back.
Mate, please remember that this is an international website.

I, and many other TBN members from Commonwealth countries, have lost our wonderful Queen. I am in mourning.

Please respect that.

Wife canned 7 more quarts green beans still left from last week, and have enough yet for 2 more qts. Then we went and picked a bunch more, probably 7+ more qts worth, but wife said she’s giving these away and cooking some. Today’s canning makes 41 qts.

Got 1 response from real estate agent asking if my new price included removing the tank. I responded yes. Nothing since.

Going to take 2-3 days off work week after next, go somewhere for a mini vacation somewhere. Don’t know where.

Good (Friday) morning on this sad day. The overnight Low was a warm 15C! It rained overnight, coincidentally starting at what turned out to be the hour of HM Queen Elizabeth II's passing... indeed, it is still raining and there was 9mm in the gauge. It's presently 15.2C.

As soon as I woke and heard the news, I lowered my flag to 'half mast'. I have the honour of having sworn allegiance to HM upon my induction into the Navy. I'm 'gutted' by the news and have shed many a tear this morning.

That's about it for today, take care all.

The queen was a great monarch even in her early years as a person who showed a lot of resolve even during WW II. She will be missed prayers sent

A rather eventful ride from Thunder Bay to home. A flat bed 'B' train flipped over in the ditch and his cargo (looked like wall board) scattered all over the place. A pretty Peterbuilt all smashed up, a write off.

Just north of New Liskeard there was a garage fire right beside the highway.

Just north of Temagami there was a straight truck flipped in the North bound ditch.

Two of us did the 1007 kilometer (626 mile) trip in 11 hours flat. Non-stop other than construction and accident/fire scenes.
