I'll see what I can do as I had a heavy frost this morning... -2.3C! I don't get snow in the NE of Tassie although the higher elevations do. Ben Lomond has opened it's alpine skiing facility early this season.

The wind has abated and the current temp is 10C with clear sky.

Received a morning phone call to let me know that I'd missed 2 political signs waaaaay down South, so that's what I'll get up to tomorrow. Usually I'd enjoy a nice 'road trip' but the price of petrol really takes the edge off of it.

Take care all.
Are political campaigns required to remove their signs after each elections?

Stop looking at your temperature and get on the correct side of the road :)
Good one.
Actually was parked. No traffic. Everyone was hunkering down in their A/C homes.
Wngsprd I like your idea.
LS at 9PM our temp was 96˚.

Good morning! 23˚C heading to 38.3˚C. Should be the last day of this 8-day above hundred heat streak. Should be just high 90s the rest of the week. I will see this morning if the garden survived for 2 days without irrigation, about 16 hours above 100. If it did I'll water it, if it did not I'll call it quits for the summer and start back after August. I really feel bad for some of the gardens they were really looking good before the pump broke. I do believe there will be an emergency plan in place by next summer if all the gardens are toast.

Trail clearing today for 90 minutes at 4PM. I'm passing.

Good Morning.
It’s 68 and will top 80, still a bit foggy but burning off. With that high of a dew point, it’s gonna be muggy today.

Yesterday, the rain held off most of the day, with thunderstorms late in the day. Passenger decided to drive rather than deal with the weather, so I didn’t have to go anywhere.
Did a little bit of fence repair with the help of oldest son and grandson, cleaned up some in the shop, putting things back in their proper place, after back to back chores. Short visit with youngest son when he stopped by to borrow some tools.
Other than that, it was an energy conversation day.

Today might be similar. I’ve got to go to town for a routine blood draw, typically so my doctor can give me a stern talk about life style changes after reading the report.

One of our airports, Doylestown is closed for a week starting yesterday for a rehab and repaving the runway, they are working 24/7 to get it done quickly, I’ll likely stop in and see how it’s going after getting my blood drawn.

I was looking at the OS 120FS the last couple of days wondering if I should grab one. I use to use nothing but OS engines.

I haven’t been active in the RC community for well over a decade, but when I was the OS handily outperformed the offerings from Saito and Enya. I confess to not having a clue what’s available today though.

Morning all, 70 going to 88 and the rain seems to have moved to tomorrow.
Spent yesterday afternoon moving furniture around pool etc. to get ti ready for Wednesday.

PopG- now that is a roasted connector. the insulator and conductor parts seem to have been confused, not good when QC is done by consumer.

Sodamo - rubbing it in  sun/ocean views so horrible :)

RS - got tired looking at all you are preparing to plant...

Drew - congrats on the relief at Meeting. Should lower the stress level and allow you to pursue more trailer fun.

LS - Happy birthday to GS!

Stay safe and be well,

Got up around an hour ago to take a whizz, did so and headed back to bed.

Not long after that heard a loud bang and the power went out.

Since didn’t hear any rain or more noises I suspect that a squirrel suicided himself on the transformer and flipped the fuse.

I reported it, expected restoration time is 11:00.

Now enjoying a cold coffee …

Mine took 8 hours Saturday to get the line fuse replaced, over 6 hours before the one man "crew" showed up.

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 7:00AM. Sunny. High 83F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.
Finally, some cooler weather. But with Summer just getting started, we'll see 99 on Wednesday before another slight cool down later in the week. Yesterday's thunder storms in the Dixie Fire scar brought down enough mud and rocks in the Feather River Canyon to close Highway 70 again. No ETA on reopening, but the photos don't look as bad as last time. No more rain in the 10-day. Only 0.01" of that rain landed here, so everything's still dry as a bone.

Too windy for tractoring yesterday, so spent most of the day working on more paperwork. Maybe I'll get to it this morning before the wind picks up. I did take a break toward the end of the day to run a drill that resets the idle speed on the van engine. That seems to have worked, so maybe it's on to the next issue.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Emergency tap into city water installed this morning.
However I did not need it. My irrigation showed signs of activity. Apparently the high pressure pump is on it’s last leg and works intermittently depending on the heat. It still waters early mornings. The gardens live.

You can tell by the surrounding gardens that I planted late because I prefer potatoes, which takes most of the spring. I’m thinking of getting another garden when one becomes available next to mine.
