Good morning! 40˚F here also Bird and with full sun will be heading to the mid 70s.

Since the knee is fixed, time to move on. MRI on the shoulder today to see if it will be an easy fix. The same knee DR. does shoulders also.
I'll check the price of gasoline on the way home and fill up at the cheapest place. Right now the price to beat is $3.739

Mom's car check cleared, y'all had me worried, especially after checking the profits for the last 10 years.

Kyle - excellent job!

Bird were all three types of boosters offered?

Helogabals, aren't the low air pressure warnings nice. Saved me a few times. It looks like the tire is repairable. I'm averaging 1 flat a year instead of 1 flat a month since the move to town.

Drew, does your new car have a spare?

Don, good question, I'll look this morning, assuming a temp spare
I always carry a battery operated air pump in the trunk, one of those jump starter combos.
Welcome Kilroy

Morning all 45 and going up, partly cloudy and rain later.
Calling for aurora borealis to be visible here tonight, but clouds will most likely stop that.

Got about 1/3 of the road frontage cleaned up in 1 hour of brushcutting. Some of the bushes are 2-4" stems and 10 feet high, intertwined with thorns and vines. Oh what fun.

LS - Good to hear about stress test and BP medicine. Definitely on the road to normalcy. Good work!

Helogabals - nail in the tire - not good. Should be easy to patch though, hope so.

Drew - sorry about the vocal few ruining the experience for the others and you. Focus on the good and ignore the problem people as much as you can.

Welcome to GM Kilroy!

Stay safe and be well,

Before, wall of brush, just starting to bud. In a month would be solid and impenetrable. Too steep for tractor.

After 1 hour, 1/3 done of 320' of road frontage, a little past the power pole:

Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 4:45AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High 77F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

I didn't look, but a neighbor reported not seeing the Northern Lights at 3:30 this morning. I guess we're a bit too far south.

The way that old rod broke, Kyle, it looks like a brittle fracture. Maybe that one didn't get proper heat treatment. I wouldn't call that weld "gorilla" at all. I can dig up some pics of some of my gorilla welds if you want...

Looks like that tire got screwed, Helogabals. At least it's in the middle of the tread, so they'll probably be able to plug it.

Happy to hear of your good night's sleep, Bird. I suppose I'm headed for a 4th Moderna shot myself, and might even check with Costco today to see if it's available. I'll have to remember to take my vaccination card along...

Sorry to hear you had to make that choice, Drew. Politics is tearing this country apart on so many levels.

Looks nice, Ken. Seems like you might be seeing some light at the end of the tunnel with the brush and tree cutting?

I did a few jobs I really didn't want to do yesterday, and ended up playing one against another procrastination wise. I didn't want to fork over $350 for a pair of motorcycle tires, but I didn't want to re-pull an Ethernet cable, either, so now there's a pair of tires on the way here. Then I didn't wanna do the waterpump job on the side-by-side, so I got the cable pulled. The there was still time to start the waterpump job, and because I didn't want to get as filthy dirty as the dozer operator was getting replacing hoses, I started in on the Kubota. It was pretty much as bad as I thought it would be. Rusty fasteners, antifreeze everywhere, which made mud for me to lay on, and really cramped quarters with lots of poky things to cut my hands and arms. But three hours later it was done, and after several trips up and down the driveway and three laps of the new loop trail, the temp gauge only went up a quarter of the way and nothing was dripping out from under the buggy. And that was with a couple breaks to help the old man with his rusty dozer bolts, but since I was already filthy dirty from the Kubota, I didn't mind too much. It was pretty clear from the old pump why the cart was overheating:

Even with the impeller gone, the bearing was shot which wiped out the seal, so it's almost a good thing that the resulting leak was the straw that triggered the replacement. Otherwise I'd still be trying to figure out why it was still over heating.

You think your gas prices are high? A friend was in Death Valley last weekend, and he sent me this photo:

Town run today, and I'm looking forward to that burrito at my favorite roach coach.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Air was just leaking. OK, I could hear that, but still not THAT fast.
As a careful owner I have in my garage compressor. Today was the day I was happy to have it
Blow in 3 bar and drive to closest tire shop.
Guys have made some tricks, charged me 5 € ;)
Now it seems ok

TPMS is great thing

39°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 43° today. We may actually get a little snow this morning. We definitely got a lot of rain yesterday. No idea what the official count was, but everything was flooded. I had to take a different route home to go around one flooded road. Even the alternate route had one area with water running out of a field and across the road. It was less than an inch deep, so I drove through it. Our pond was flooded and extended back into the pasture. We had class 2 rapids going through the front swale.

Roy, that could just be an email spoof. I presume you sent that to Muhammad.

I find myself in need of new jeans, Drew. But, I'm being stubborn and refusing to buy any until I lose more weight. Sorry about your church leadership experience. Unfortunately, there is no shortage of such people everywhere.

Welcome to TBN and the Good Morning thread, Kilroy.

Those are insane gas prices, RNG. 😮

68° cloudy and windy, big storms later they say.

I got my fourth Moderna dose 6-8 weeks ago, just like 2-3 no problems, only the first one caused very minor problems.

I was sick last weekend, second time in two weeks, starts out feeling tired, progresses to dry mouth with bitter taste, dry heaves and extreme fatigue. All I could do was sleep for hours. Then it goes away about as quickly as it comes on. No gator involvement.

Glad to see “Kilroy was here.”

Good morning to all! Low was 19°, heavy frost this morning..... not good for all the plant buds that have popped. Hopefully they weren't damaged. The high winds continued until just before midnight, but only gusted to around 45 mph. Spring apparently got blown away.....

No wind right now, supposed to stay calm with a high of 68°. I'm still thinking about cutting that phone line..... I apparently misplaced my motivation again... I may just prep the area and get the materials staged.

Wng, digging by hand is not a 'fun' thing to do anymore.... I look back at how much I had dug by hand over the last 30 years and really wonder how I did it. Not in the cards anymore.... maybe just clean out a hole that was dug by a machine ... that's about it. More power to 'ya !

Roy, hope you feel better. Take it easy for sure!

Drew, all my adult life I weighed about the same range (175-195 lbs). When I got hurt (knee), I jumped up to 205 lbs and felt "fat", but not too bad. Over the last 3 years dealing with the surgeries and not being as active, the pounds were very easy to sneak up on me. When I hit 240 lbs, it made me realize it was time to diet.... just cut out the majority of junk food (still have to have some), ate smaller portions of good food, and started eating the main meal in the early afternoon. Took about 6 months, but the weight came off. My target is 190 lbs.... I'll be happy with that.

Helogabals, glad the tire fix went easy! Now, stop driving over screws! 😜

Ken, nice job! That's a large area, you did good! 👍🏼

RNG, I am going to try your system of procrastination.... seemed to work fairly well! You got a lot accomplished. I am surprised that the water pump deteriorated so much. How old was it? Your place is looking good too!

Temp is up to 44° now, so might go get my 'work' clothes on... maybe I left my motivation in one of those pockets....

Everyone have a great day!

It's an '05 Kubota RTV900G with a little more than 3500 hours on it.

Don't forget to check the watch pocket on those jeans. A little bit of motivation goes a long way...
