Good morning!!!!

37 going to 60...woke up at 3am to see it snowing outside...turned to rain and is gone now.

Finished up the last of the tax returns I was doing, and celebrated by taking a load to the "dump." Took a nice hike to the river while I was in that part of the county.

UOfan, good morning. What's UO?

I moved home from Washington NC year before last, really miss the warm weather too.

off to Newtown this morning to have coffee with a friend from church. Then I'm headed for the garden center

40F @ 4:15am. Looks to be another morning where our temps will be above freezing at sunrise. Predicted to be 55F this afternoon.

Morning all, 25 going up to 51 and saying sunny, but I don't see no sun.

Spent another 2 hours with the brushcutter yesterday. Finally broke through the last two dense sections of brush. Now it's all cleanup.

Of course when I got through on section, I saw some strange thin branches, Poison Ivy vines a few inches thick!
Seems I did not get any on me this time and will go out later to make sure the vine is separate from the root.

Looks like an ash graveyard back there, and still more large ones to come down.
Some branches were big that came down from high in the trees. They spear the ground and look like small dead trees as they stick out pretty vertical and deep. Makes me very cautious when near those trees and why I don't go in those areas on windy days.

Once I finish clearing this out, and the ground solidifies, it's tractor time to clear out rocks, trunks and stumps. Later in the season it will be flail time to keep it tame. Pictures will follow eventually.

Wagtail - arvo? Sad about the biker.

Yesterday went to police station to pick up Autism charity shirt, they run all kinds of charities and do good community work.
Right after that, was walking dog when 3 police cars quietly went up neighbor driveway across street and one more car up their neighbors driveway, no lights/sirens. Probably a home alarm went off, such a show of force though, must be a bigwig, lots of them around here.

Easy day today.

Stay safe and be well.

Our rain didn't last long, and the wind died down quickly here, and I got exactly a half inch of rain in my gauge.

Good morning! light rain ending soon, with a 20mph West wind and clear skies. 59˚F, .15" rain last night. Clear skies this afternoon with temps in the high 70s.

Bird, thanks for not taking all the rain. Hope your booster did not keep you awake, did you get the normal symptoms?

Welcome to the Good Morning thread UOFan. (University of Oklahoma?)

Mostly, pilates is not for the knee it's for everything else, and I usually have to cheat when I'm suppose to be kneeling. I have a pilates class later today. There is one guy there that had both knees replaced and has a bad shoulder so I get no sympathy from the instructor.

Next time I'm at Mom's I'll try out the vintage "air gun" that I posted yesterday, that Fuddy1952 correctly identified.

Good morning! 35 now, maybe 73 later. We had some freezing drizzle early this morning. That looks to be over.

I still drink Hamm’s at times, especially in the summer. $4.49/6 pack of tall boys is a great buy. And it tastes ok. Never have cared for A-B products. They have an odd taste to me. We have 3 local breweries that make some amazing beer. We have 2 others that are pretty bland.

Made beef fajitas for my wife’s birthday. That was a hit.

Her work truck had a Christine moment last week. Lights randomly flashing, warnings randomly coming on, horn randomly blowing, wipers coming on, etc. She had it hauled to the Ford dealer near work, turns out water got into the body control module. Now to be able to get parts.

@Kyle_in_Tex, yes, parity is good. But the sanctioning body created this mess. They were saying one thing in public while making back room deal with a manufacturer. The manufacturer never lived up to the deal, nothing was done to sanction them. So they now respond with significant restrictions That I believe are going to be a real problem when they get to the miles.

Well, gotta get busy.

Everyone stay safe out there

Good Morning
It’s 28 at home with a high in the 40.’s forecast.
Here in Wichita it’s 42 with a high of 52. Had some significant storms roll through last night, we were in the simulator and still heard occasional claps of thunder. By the time we were finished, the weather had passed.

Not much to report for today, other than it will all be inside, split between the classroom and simulator.

31° good morning

Might be some wicked storms tomorrow with the temp rise, then another drastic fall.

Mostly, I lose my motivation before the bike ride.

Welcome UO

Feeling a little better finally, will head to office soon. Worked remote the last 2 days.

Only 1 bag pellets left in storage box and stove about empty. No motivation to bring it in.

Don, air tool does look plausible.

Ken, maybe after picking up the shirt they thought you matched a poster?

Haven’t filed taxes yet.

Have been sleeping well.

3 new posts hopped in while I was composing mine. Pop got to fly thru a real storm on the simulator.

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 5:45AM. Cloudy skies this morning will become partly cloudy this afternoon. High 68F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
The 10-day says we'll be into the 90s by the end of the period.

Puttered yesterday morning away making a few little fixes, then managed to replace the rear tire on the touring bike with one I mistakenly took off last year. It still has a few thousand miles left on it, and the one that came off had a little over 6500. That's pretty good for a rear motorcycle tire. Then found out that Michelin has discontinued that tire, and the replacement seems priced at 50% more.🤬

Got some seat time cleaning up some of the rougher areas of the new trail, and snagged a few stumps and root balls out of the burn piles and brought them up to where the next one will be. Shot this video while making a lap of the loop. I was bouncing around in the seat pretty good and I'm amazed how well the image stabilization in the iPhone smoothed things out.

Heard from the contractor and it looks like he'll be able to start the driveway work on Monday.

Today I hope to replace the water pump on the Kubota side-by-side, then grease the FEL on the tractor. That just might be it for the day.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

65°F and cloudy with some scattered showers this morning, staying pretty stead through the day with some severe storms and high winds blowing through the area today. 50mph gusts, they say, and possible tornadoes. Yippie ... I'll be picking up some sticks this weekend for sure.

Wife did some clutter cleaning in the storage area under the stairs yesterday and found a bunch of 35mm film canisters and a few disposable cameras. No idea what's on them, so she took them to CVS to get them developed. Neither of us have used film cameras in 20-25 years, so it will be interesting to see what they contain.

She also found all of the original bank and insurance documentation from when her grandparents bought the property in 1970, including the payment books. They were paying $100/month for the original 17 acres, which came to just over $9K including interest. They added a second mortgage in '74 to finance the rest of the house construction, and paid it all off in 1986. Neat to go through and see all that stuff.

I remember trying Iron City Beer back in the '80s, BEF. You weren't missing anything.
Michelob Classic Dark was one of my favorites, Mostly_.
Some other less-than-stellar beers I remember are Red White & Blue, Black Label, Hamm's, Rock & Roll, Schaefer, Schlitz, Falstaff, Stag, and 905 (store brand). Never cared for Grolsch either.
Some of the better ones were Rolling Rock ("from the glass-lined tanks of old Latrobe"), Olympia (the "Beer Sphere" plastic quarter barrels), and most of the Molson offerings. I was never a big fan of Miller or Coors, but the Miller Genuine Draught in those odd-shaped bottles was pretty good. Leinenkugel's, Killian Red, Becks, and Heineken were all good. Does anyone remember the Little Kings Cream Ale in the little pony bottles? Drank a ton of those in my youth.

Welcome to the GN thread, OHfan.

I've always had a preference for Michelin's touring bike tires, but they certainly seem to like discontinuing the one's people like in favor of more expensive replacements.

27F clear sky low 40's for high.

driving home saw Exxon gas station with 4.59 for regular and 5.49 for diesel.
Wow.

decided not to stop at garden center to pick up compost on way home, had nice clothes on and sure if I pick up four bags
I'm going to slime up my clothes so will go back tomorrow in jeans. 40 and cloudy out

RNG, be careful on those sections you measured at 20 degrees incline. UTV should be ok, but that would scare me on a tractor.
