Nope, never had a clue. The All-Knowing Google tells me it was named that by Blue Bombers fans because of the blue label. Please tell me there's a better story than that.
There you have it. The proper name for it is Labatts Pilsner.
EVERYBODY just calls it 'blue'. Most people call Molsons Canadian just plain 'Canadian' and Molsons Export 'EX'. Molsons golden is just plain 'Golden'.

The guesses on the J-Mark tool are not quite there. The label is engraved on the handle not a pour spout and the pointed metal coming from it is solid, not a straw. ?????

Don, I can’t remember what it is but its familiar as all get out. If my father was still alive I’m sure he could tell me what it is. I’m not real sure that there isn’t one in his garage. If you squeeze the handle does it lock, stay squeezed?

I'll check it out next time I'm there. Thanks.

36F and cloudy @ 22:00, heading down to 32F for the low. Looking forward to the big warmup tomorrow.

We actually ended up getting a couple of inches of snow the other day, much to my surprise, but as you can see below it's gone already.

Refilled Hopper feeder and put about five scoops of whole corn in the deer feeder, also reloaded two suet feeders (one down and one up)

Bulbs on the northern end of the bed (which gets more sun) are making a good showing:

Peonies also starting to poke through, but kind of hard to make out in that pictures.

Woman gave me a haircut which I was way overdue for.

Scheduled some bills for payment and did some online banking.

Handled a couple of emails, credit came in for the plants that did not ship last fall ... it went to the junk mail folder which may have been what happened first time around.

Made the run to Menards to pick up order, placed another one for a few additional items: two 12" frost-free hose bibs/hydrants, three 1/2 copper sweat unions, and three 3/4" slip pvc crosses (for bird feeders)

Got Menards rebates printed out and filled out the rebate form and stuck it in the mailbox on the way out.

Sadly we did not stop for Mexican on the way home ... :(

Hope everyone had a great day !

Morning/afternoon all. Another pleasant night with a 13C low. Sunny day with a predicted high of 20C. Wind is picking up.

Paddocks 1 & 2 chain-harrowed and Z-Turn mowed/mulched yesterday. Today (so far) it's been into town for mail, petrol/diesel and then groceries. 2 cases of wine were at the Post Office (one of Pinot Noir and the other a mix of reds) from the Wine Club that I belong to.

I need to go out to the shed this arvo and re-arrange some things or else it'll fill up and I won't be able to get at 'things'. ;)

There was a fatality out in Goshen yesterday, I believe that it was a 70yo motorcyclist who had a 'medical incident'. He was part of a vintage British bike touring rally and, apparently, he was from Texas. Prayers to his family.

Take care all.

Good evening all. 64ºF for the start, overcast, windy. Several big branches down. Windy all day, overcast, band looked like rain, but no rain. High temp was 77ºF, DP 58ºF. Bike ride early to beat worst of the wind, then lost my motivation so nothing else but nap got done :(.

Wasn't sleeping well, for reasons unknown, but looked out at 2:30 a.m. and no rain yet. NWS showed south breeeze at 21 mph gusting to 41 mph; 73° going for a low of 60° this morning, then back up to 66. Then at 2:35 a.m., thunder followed by a downpour. Hope the yard gets well watered.

Good morning, low temp is 16 and going to a high of 32°F. Wind ESE 3 mph. Snow mixed with ice pellets and a freezing rain warning possibly lasting all day. Nothing so far. It is a good thing I am not going anywhere.

I heard Hydro One was out cutting trees again, I hope they got the one that was threatening the lines at my neighbour to the west of me. IF his tree goes down, then I lose my power.

There is nothing planned for me today, so I think I will jump down the you tube rabbit hole again.

Have a safe day all
