I have insulted motorcycle gloves and lots of long Johns, sweatshirts and insulated coats.
I even have a pair of purple earmuffs.
With any luck I won’t need any of it.

LS, way back when I could have taken the Canadian to B.C. on an 'all services' pass and didn't. The same trip now would co$t me $5,000.oo. Aint gonna happen.

Just for yucks, I priced an Amtrak trip from St Louis to San Diego. Wow! Not only is it ridiculously expensive, especially with a "room" ticket, it would take four days to get there. Geez, not hard to see why Amtrak has so much trouble with their finances.

I could drive there and back in four days.

Southwest Airlines could fly me there and back in one day for about $355/roundtrip.
