Speaking of snow-
I was in Eagle, waiting overnight, and decided to visit a friend in the Denver area, it looked like a short hop on I70 in the rented RAV4, what could go wrong ?

Well, this was the view out the windshield of the interstate on the way back to Eagle. I thought it odd that there was no traffic coming eastbound, but when we made it back, I discovered that I70 was closed completely for the next few days shortly after we made it back.

My wife showed me a model she was looking last night that showed 15 inches through the middle of the state, probably more at riptides! 😁

Jinx me you all did. I still have patches of snow, so maybe the good lord will see that and send it elsewhere.

Guess I will start adding to the beer list. LOL.

Forecast for my brother's place in VA is a foot of snow. But only three inches here. Fine with me.
More beer Rip.

Good Morning!!!! 44F @ 5:15AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 62F. Winds light and variable.
Still no rain in the 10-day.

When I installed Corian counter tops at my first home, I used carbide router bits to make the cuts, David. I imagine carbide tipped saw blades, for circular or saber saws, would work just as well, but might not give as smooth a cut.

I understand how MOVs could protect against an over current/voltage surge, Drew, but not how they would protect from a current/voltage sag. The sags are caused when large electrical motors start, and the only thing I've seen that provides that kind of protection are Uninterruptable Power Supplies.

Always looking to improve my tree felling skill set, Billy. What "non-approved methods" did you use?

I never realized there was a correlation between the amount of beer you have and how much snow you get, Mike. Since I can't remember the last time I ran out of beer, I suppose it's no wonder it seldom snows here... 😄

Three of the four boxes of brake parts I've been waiting for have arrived, but the last one seems marooned at the FedEx facility in Chicago, where it's been since last Saturday. The FedEx website lists the status as Delayed in pretty red letters, and gives no projected delivery date. So I'll be on the phone with them today to find out what's going on.

I placed orders for a couple of relays that could be causing the starting problem on the van yesterday. I googled the part numbers on the ones I have, and found that Subaru gets an astonishing 600% markup on the one made by Denso. I couldn't find an OEM source for the other one, though.

Finished limbing the trees I had stacked up yesterday, and was sore again getting out of bed this morning. Not sure if I'll drag in more downed trees today, or switch to something a little less labor intensive and let my body have a break.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

29°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 56° today. Voice on the radio this morning suggested we may get anywhere from 3-6" of snow Saturday, and maybe more, maybe less. He did admit it's still too far out to know for sure. I put the rear blade back on the tractor at the end of summer, so I'm good to go.

Condolences for your family's loss, Randy.
And for your friend, Paul.

headed downtown to pick up some distilled water for electric utility cart at church.
I also got one of those automatic battery waterers, except I like the one I got with a screw off
fill port on top. That way your fingers don't touch any chemicals left on the spout. Yes, good time to wear gloves.

Man, I am over the snow for this year.

And the temps need to crank it back up a few degrees. LOL.
Well you may be over it, but I'm pretty sure it will be over YOU.
Most of the BIG storms for the area have been in the late January to early February time frame.

66°F and .76 inches rain.

Sophie has ophthalmologist follow up later this morning. Hoping for a good report. Need to hit the brewery while in town, Porter needs to be replenished.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
