Good Morning.
It’s 17 outside and only going into the 20’s. Clear skies, a nice but chilly day.

Yesterday started off with some tractor time,

Got everything cleaned up nicely, having a comfy heated cab with XM radio sure spoils you though.

But it made my helper happy. I think music and tractors are his two favorite things.

After we finished with the tractor, I brought him home and parked the tractor back in the shop. Made some progress putting stuff away, the headed to the airport to shovel out in front of hangar so it didn’t become a block of ice. I’ve only got to shovel the two feet or so against the door that the plow doesn’t get, so it’s not a big chore. Next stop was the restaurant to figure out what as wrong with a freezer display case that has been problematic. Turned out to be an intermittent overload protector, I didn’t have one, but proved it by bypassing it and monitoring the current draw.

A Home Depot run finished off the day, ate dinner, watched another Jeopardy contestant top $1,000,000.

It's a nice bright sunny day here,
and a degree warmer then Roy is a whooping 3F heading for 21F.
At least all the mud is froze solid.
Used the york rake on the 2-3" of snow from yesterday.
Looks like todays work will be to drop the bucket off put the forks on
and bring up a pallet of coal and put in the garage.
Stay safe if you can.

Roy, it's a totally uninsulated garage, can't leave anything on, but I do have a big
80-120k propane burner. It's noisy but powerful, but the warm air just disappears too quickly without insulation.
Plus despite having a CO2 detector in there that I know works, the air is unpleasant even if not dangerous.
I might do that next year, who knows. Putting up roll insulation is easy and I have an electric tacker.

Paul, marvelous pics of tractors and grandson. I bet he would fall asleep on your lap if you let him.
That one pic should be a Kubota ad.

stay warm Lou.

boy I wish I had a heated garage :sneaky:

A frontier pioneer I'm surely not

I have to admit that I am extremely spoiled.
When I built my shop, I had it spray foamed, and installed a heat pump with a propane furnace for backup. The heat pump actually keeps up, even on a 17 degree day like today. It’s not a small building, over 5000 square feet including the second floor. It stays at a comfy 65 downstairs and 70 upstairs during the winter. A bit warmer in the summer, but the AC keeps the humidity down.

Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 5:45AM. Sunny. High 58F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
Only 0.13" of rain fell yesterday morning, and there's no more in the 10-day. I'm not complaining, as these January dry spells are pretty common, but we still need more rain.

Kitchen is coming right along, David. Very nice!

Welcome to the Good Morning!!!! thread, Mtsoxfan (Mike).

Nothing like having the perfect tool for the job, Paul.

Conserved energy most of yesterday, but did manage to finish one job in the office. Plenty more where that came from, though.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend...

18° and sunny.
new low last night at 5°, a good 10° below prediction. Was 21° when I went to bed.
I got up last night to see if the neighbors kitties were out, I was going to let them in for the night. Didn’t find them. This morning they were over for food, wife said they had hay frozen to ice on their tails. They are in now. They do have a barn with hay to sleep in, but they are such nice cats. The neighbors 3 legged cat was in our mud room all day and night, curled up in a bed we have for it.

The new cat calmed down and became friendlier last evening. I spent lots of time with it. We kept it in basement at night and it was curled up on the couch sleeping.

No retirement planning got done.

Going to have remote worship next 2 weeks due to increased COVID cases, our minister and his wife being 2 of them. I’ll probably go up to building to make sure it’s working.
But they are saying freezing rain tomorrow morning.

Gotta get moving.

L4N I just hate that almost guaranteed to happen once a night. Sometimes you go back to sleep sometimes not

Yep, for once I didn’t have to get up.

L4N, a competent well diggers behind should be around 55°.
