Good Morning!!!! 36F @ 5:30AM. Rain showers early will evolve into a more steady rain for the afternoon. High around 45F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
There's also a freeze watch in effect for tonight through Thursday. Just the incentive I've been waiting for to get the insulation back onto the pipes that were exposed during the big tank installation. I also will drain the drip lines that run up onto the roof.
What a great gift, Billy. But I'd be surprised if that BB did so much as chip the paint on that tank, though...
Good progress on the knee, Don, but try not to do too much, too soon, OK? I'll stick with skim milk for my oatmeal, thank you very much.
Welcome to the GM thread, repeat!
And to you, inane2. Some Four Roses found it's way into my glass last night after dinner, too.
Nice to see more new faces here, Ray.
You definitely rate the Christmas Over Achiever award for Christmas 2021, RS!
Got in touch yesterday with my oldest childhood friend, and spent a good hour yaking about our misspent youth. It's a wonder we both survived this long, let alone with both eyes and all our fingers intact. It's been more than ten years since our last conversation, and in spite of promises to do better, it might well be another ten before I hear from him again. Just his nature to keep to himself, I guess.
Did a little organizing and packing for the trip, then mid evening got an email from the electrical utility that the power was out. Never even saw the lights filcker when the system switched over to battery power, or when it came back on line an hour or so later.
By then I'd nodded off in front of the TV, so I just went to bed. Another quiet Christmas.
That little incident caused me to notice that the monitor software for the solar power system has stopped reporting, and it seems there's a bad ethernet cable going out to the supporting switch. So that's also on the todo list for today, too.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend.
