Shopping for backsplash tiles today. Got up early and went and picked up some turf from the turf farm. Then laid that. Gravel is next.
Honda has dried out after being flooded. No worse for wear.
Bought some party chairs. Assembling shelving and shifting gear into barn slowly.
Karaoke gear set up and working.
Lots of boxes of furniture waiting for 'sumwun' to assemble it all.

good morning all
stormy weather coming in, much warmer, and high wind warnings this afternoon

friend coming over this morning to help me move the Rubbermaid shed pieces to the front of garage where delivery
people can pick it up next week. Home Depot did a great job on CS yesterday, got another pickup ordered and this time a firm promise of
calling before they come. I hope so.

turns out I apparently should have put some lime in the church walkway mortar mix; was just making it the way I was told, and now we see some cracking, and not just in the parts
I did. The two other guys used lime in the underlayment mix but never told me to put any in the mortar. Well.....
lime apparently makes the mixture more flexible and resistant to cracking. Now I have to go back and dig out the mortar in spots and redo; sure hope the coloration
stays the same. Half the mortaring had been done when I started to help; assumed they knew what they were doing.
Now they dug up a masonry recipe for mortar, sure wish we had done that early on. I'm guessing about six parts sand, one portland cement and one lime.

Amazon agreed to reship my three items that never came last week despite their driver saying so. I wonder who is playing with my pocket knife for Christmas...

two weeks until Christmas.

Coffee is brewing. 52° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 58° with high winds. Warm temperature will not last long. Before noon a front will move in dropping temperature 20° with high winds. .99" of rain overnight. Got meter boxes wired up and tested. Ready to mount on transfer switch box. Not sure when I will get to that. Neighbor that is recovering for Covid thought it would be a good day to get his tractor ready for winter. Got front blade on and weight box on back. Roll Bar lights had not been hooked up to switches. So we got that done. He did good getting the stuff done. Still no taste or smell.
I am feeling the up and down stuff we did yesterday this morning. May make today a conserve energy day.
I was playing lenses on my 2 cameras yesterday morning. Looked out the window and this is what the sky looked like. I wrong lens on camera for the type of sensor it has.

Mostly, no hat for the Blue Jay. Just a bad hairdo day.

Ron, beautiful sky. Be careful out there, your State's covid count is making headlines. Don't get too close to your neighbor...

time for second cup of coffee and a plate of leftover home fries and eggs. I try to cook two servings when I do mess up a pan so today
is my easy day, breakfast is all ready for me. Thank goodness for microwaves. I eat home fries maybe once a month so a nice treat.
Sure isn't particularly good for me.

   / Good morning!!!! #142,314
the taste of home fries takes me mentally right back to our local diner. 6am in the morning and there would be a big pile of shredded potatoes on the grill.
I do mine with very little oil, trying to keep fat out, so have to be careful not to burn them.
Sitting here full and content.
Content is good. Happy is better. In love is the best. Kiss your wives...

62F but we wind is shifting after a night of tornadoes. It was 70 at midnight.
I am about 15+ miles from our county seat Mayfield, Kentucky USA. We lost the county courthouse and City Hall from the tornado last night. When daybreak comes we will know more. It also hit Kentucky post 1 and that was 911 and the major communication system for the county of Graves county.

I think the power has been off all night county wide.

Another grey, overcast winter morning here. 39F and probably down to 35F or so at dawn. No lingering snow, so far. Just hoping for more moisture - of some kind.

33° right now...high about 50° today. Supposed to be freezing rain until about 0900-1000. I haven't stuck my head out the door yet, so I don't know. If we are getting freezing rain, probably forego the dump run this morning.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get to the shop to have the snow tires mounted, as planned yesterday. Monday, I need to be at work for a meeting, rest of the week I'll be working from home so we'll just leave the Tacoma at the shop and they can fit it in whenever.
No other plans or chores today...maybe a movie, or binge watch the Star Trek Enterprise series (after I finish watching "The Bride of Frankenstein")

Update on Ram 2500 2019 44000 miles recalled twice not too bad. Everything works as it should comfortable ride pulls trailers very well averaging 22 mpg with 31 gallon tank. Bed a little smaller than Ford but it will do. Factory airbags work as advertised. I am very happy with this purchase
