Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #141,382
I have 5 hard drive bays in this computer case. 4 of them are taken up with the 'C,D,E and F' drives. I also have 2 Western digital 1 TB virgin hard drives, so I will put one of them into the case and call it the 'C' drive.

The township I live in has decided that they will charge residents and home owners $15.oo/yard for construction rubble over and above their taxes. I get a receipt for every thin dime I shell out to them and will deduct that money off my taxes. I call what they are doing 'double dipping' and will be looking to see whether or not that is legal.

I'm going out this morning to (a) see what the holdup is on the new power washer repairs and (b) get a new battery in the key fob for the Dodge. I might drop around to the hydraulic shop and see about rebuilding the curl cylinders for the Kioti loader
Glad you can play your games now. Let us know what $ it costs to fix the cylinders. I asked the mechanic at JD a week ago, how much labor for a cylinder and he said around $150 plus parts....OUCH

I've been trying to catch up reading here.

Stepp, sorry about your friend. The older I get, the more I realize that, while the Good Lord gives us life, it is even more important that he offers salvation.

My friend at work that still can't walk without a walker (Covid intubated), did come join us at work for Thanksgiving lunch on Friday. Many peeps glad to see him.

Don, thanks for all the tips. I got flu shot, but no booster yet. Also, I'm not a fan of liquid smoke. Maybe some brands are better than the old brand.

Daughter is playing bass, and I get to do slides at church today.

Drew, sidewalk looks nice. Hope it lasts for 200 years.

Billy, hope wifey gets better quickly. I didn't even know someone can get carbon credit money.

Mostly, get some rest and sleep.

Ken, sorry about your wife getting caught up with those knuckaheads. Glad you got there quickly.

will have to catch up and post more later, time to get ready for church. Prayers for our team, our country, and those who are in silent need.

68°F ad .05 inches rain.

Continuation of yesterday’s easy day. Finish cleaning the truck, mow the dogs area, watch some football.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning to all! Low was at 31, only going up to 52 today, warmer starting tomorrow. Maybe, just maybe, some precipitation may occur on Wednesday. We'll see.....

Wng, prayers sent out for you guys. Hope all goes well.

David, welcome home..... now the catch-up begins.....

Drew, nice job on the walkway. That wasn't an easy job for sure.

Ron, nice pic, as usual. I haven't seen nor heard any woodpeckers this year. Strange for sure, normally we see at least a few.

Eric, do you have snow shoes? .... I don't know if they would work on the swampy area..... could make it worse and just get you stuck....

Alien, I think that barn is too small for your needs.... I'll take it off your hands....shipping could be an issue.....
Very nice for sure! Sounds like everything is getting done in a reasonable amount of time.

This week has been slow, didn't do too much. I was able to get started on the sofa table..... but that's it, just started joining a couple pieces together. I have a hard time standing for longer than a few minutes. Make a cut, sit down, make another, sit again.....this is gonna take a while.....

Still haven't heard anything else about the Walmart fire. There are hundreds of shrink wrapped pallets out in the parking lot. I wonder if they have to empty the entire store. I went to the only other local grocery store..... WOW... I have never seen the parking lot and the store so full! They are doing a good job trying to keep up with the demand.

Everyone have a great day!

41F with light rain @ 13:00, heading up to 44F for the day's high.

Lawn down here around the house still looks to be mostly leaf-free, so apparently there wasn't much wind overnight.

Fair amount of activity out at the feeders this morning.

Got email a plant order was delivered this morning via UPS SurePost. Will need to run up and rescue that out of the mail box since it's supposed to go down to 29F tonight. Think there is only one more outstanding order (hostas) after this one.

Probably do some catch up on fish stuff this afternoon, need to draw water and clean tanks.

Also re-pot The Woman's banana tree and see about rigging up a grow light for it.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Sunday ... (y)

Good afternoon. We have been enjoying more dry weather today. I almost felt guilty at not making the most of it to cut more timber in the wetland, then reasoned that you can have too much of a good thing. Instead I played at welding up a steel frame for a Mk3 shooting bench. I had thought of making the top out of cast concrete, then decided that would be too cold in winter, so opted to go with wood instead. I have attempted to make it stiff by using a "torsion box" construction. The bottom ply is glued and nailed. Plan is to use birch ply on top, screwed in place so that if I later find it needs more mass I can take it off again and fill the inside with something dense.

Popgadget, very smart to identify that freezer fault and bypass the defrost valve.

Steppenwolfe, so sorry to hear the loss of your friend.

Next year I start working on the graveyard walls which need a lot of pointing
Drew, always good to have something to look forward to. :) Are the graveyard walls very old, cement or lime mortar ?

Alien, your new barn is looking terrific. I can imagine you spending so much time in there that you will begin to look pasty white from lack of sunlight. Have you planned the internal layout yet ?

Eric, do you have snow shoes? .... I don't know if they would work on the swampy area

Not much call for snow shoes here !
Wildfowlers use traditional "mud pattens" to walk over trechourous esturary mud, I really ought to make a pair now I have plenty of plywood scraps.

I've had good luck storing gasoline engines dry, Drew. I worry that the modern gas, even E0, will still go after the rubber and plastic parts.
!

I’ve been using Avgas in all my seasonal stuff, 2 or 4 cycle for decades. It can sit for ten years and stuff starts right up. Doesn’t seem to harm anything (except catalytic converters).

I am very excited about the barn. It's been a long time coming. I hope to fit a 4 poster hoist in the middle bay but watching my money at the moment as the house is costing a lot more than expected so I need to appease the wife before I get my hoist.
The hoist can be used as a car park bay as well. Lift one car up and lock it and park another underneath. There will be plenty of room for a entertainment area as well. Couple of pics from the drone. I wanted a barn with some character, not just a shed. I have a real estate buddy who said, "It might have cost you $50,000 but it has added $100,000 to your property value." I'm happy with that.

@RedNeckGeek

Late in my stay at the hospital, I could smell ba on. To this day, one of the few things that I smell constantly. Race gas’s is another. Everything else is hit or miss, mostly miss.

Taste existed on certain things when I was allowed food again. The rest when I got home was a struggle. was told nothing hot and spicy, but frustration with no taste led to quickly trying hot sauce. Didn’t work, but stepping up the game to habanero sauce brought back normal taste.

Woke up at 3 AM with the power of. Automatic standby generator was on, but the automatic transfer switch had not kicked in. By the time I started to get dressed to go out and check it out, the power was back on.

Something is fishy. The generator was just serviced about a week or 2 ago. Will check out the Generator’s circuit breaker in the morning.

Meanwhile, got the booster jab yesterday. It was a full dose of Pfizer, and the nurse said that I was now as protected as anyone in the world because my first 2 doses were Astrazeneca!

Time to try and get back to sleep.

Poured first cup of coffee. 27° with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 35° with clouds and 30mph winds. Got all the brackets made for the Mule pole support. Need to deburr them today and cut metal support bar today. Thought I had paint that match color of my Mule. Nope. Going to have to be flat black. I do not have any of that either. That mean a trip to Menards. A visit there always cost more than a can of paint.

Check, a few years ago my whole house generator failed to do it weekly test. Found a quick disconnect had come off it terminal. Put it back on. I now check them every year.

Alien, good drone pictures.

Wngsprd, hope your wife has nothing serious.

RNG, maybe bird thought there was food behind the screen.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
47 out now in light rain, continuing most of morning then clearing out

waiting for Safelite repair guy to come out early this morning, to fix a small windshield glass chip I got driving back from NC on 95.
Small chip, passenger side, they will come fix it for free vs my 1000 deductible which means no coverage at all. Not quite sure how well this will
work while it's raining out.

not much planned this week due to holiday, will be nice to putter and catch up on little projects. First I have to clean out the garden beds of dead flowers and
get them ready for winter. Also have to clean out veggie garden. I found three more radishes yesterday, they were mighty strong.
And lastly put up xmas lights. Neighbors across the street were out putting them up yesterday when weather was nice.
I have a ten foot evergreen I want to wrap in lights but don't have a tall enough ladder. I might borrow one though not having a taller ladder is usually just fine
with me because I hate heights. I wonder if there is a way to do this with a long pole with a hook on the end. ?

   / Good morning!!!! #141,400

leave it to Amazon, a bunch of these little extendo-grabbers
I think I just need a long wooden pole and a nail...
