Good Morning.
It’s 25 and going to at least double that today.

Yesterday was cold and breezy, a far cry from the 70’s we had on Thursday. I tried to give my old freezer away unsuccessfully, so it ended up as scrap metal once I reclaimed the refrigerant. It was working fine, but it was old, needed a door seal that I had cobbled up with duct tape, and now manual defrost. I felt bad putting a working device out to pasture, but I was done with it. Got wife all packed up and on her way to alpaca show hauling a trailer full of displays and wares. Youngest son came home for the weekend to help with animals, so house isn’t so empty and quiet.

Big news was that the Everything Attachments 60” grapple that I ordered at the end of may has shipped. Last night’s recording sessions went well.

Today I’ll be going to a celebration of life for a drummer friend, There will be lots of musicians and music there, it won’t be a sad time, but a celebration.

Bill, amazing video, thank you. All the more reason to have a big tractor if you live
along a river town...
Looks like JCB seals their tractors pretty well
I wonder why he said he lost brakes, something about air pressure, didn't understand that
I wonder if other large equipment like excavators were used to save anyone.

at the end there is a couple saved whose truck washed away ten seconds after he got onto the tractor. Remarkable.

Paul, play some good tunes tonight.

24°

Nice moon pic, it was really bright last night coming home from the airport. Sons flight went well. Sun is in my eyes as I lay in bed.

My favorite HS teacher just passed away at 87. RIP.

Good morning! It has been 26 since I woke up about 5:30 this morning. Supposed to get to 42 or so today. Sunrise was spectacular this morning…but I didn’t take a picture….doh.

I have 2 trailer loads of wood to move today. I was given the wood by a local farm. They cut it, I have to move and split it. Fair deal. The wood is on the farms trailer which is home made and doesn’t fit into the area I need to get into to split and stack. So will do some extra work and transfer it to the $100 HF trailer. Poor thing will be overloaded again.

Not sure what else I will get into.

Co-worker in the cubicle adjacent to mine tested positive late this week. He weighs too much….hopefully he has a mild case. I need to text him some advice…..

1 year ago, woke up feeling ok. Actually slept really good the night before. Little did I know, it would be the last good nights sleep I would have for several weeks. I had already suffered several nights of poor sleep. Seems not being able to sleep is not that unusual with Covid. I remember doing very little because I wanted to rest up and kick what ever was bugging me….

Everyone stay safe out there

28 going to 50.

Mostly, hope you get a long nap to make up for lack of sleep.

My wife has caught a cold...of course there is the fear of it being the C virus even though already boosted...temp is normal. Neither of us slept well. Rich, glad you're better...you had such a bad case of it.

New order of green coffee came in...I've got lots to choose from. All of these coffees came into Oakland after sitting in containers off the coast...but they pack them well and all look good. Hopefully have enough to roast for Thanksgiving and CHRISTmas gifts.

this is for Ken and Paul
looks like our local historical defenders, The Ringgold Regiment, paid a whopping
4 dollars a month, hoping that a hefty signing bonus would bring them in.
All to share the honor and praises of being in the company of other fine such folks.
And btw, better sign up now or you'll get drafted and get almost nothing.
You look at these old historical documents and see a lot of names that today are local towns.

Horrible news this morning. Very good friend of mine passed yesterday from Covid; even with being vaxed. He was a few years older than me, but literally was half mountain goat. An incredibly hard worker and really good dude; he will be sorely missed.

Gheez, Step, sorry about your loss. Scares the heck out of people when they hear that a fully vaxed person dies anyway. Did he have any comorbidities at all?
