60 going to 70...had a brief shower a couple of hours ago...then at 4am sharp, phone rings and I find out via the answering machine that we've won the 2nd Prize in the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes! I don't know how much, but I'm so excited. Sure.

Well, saw old gray tail skunk this morning...he's gone to skunk heaven.

Yesterday my wife and I were on the Skyline Drive in the mountains ready to park at the trailhead early in the morning, and she gets a call that her mom needs to be taken to the ER...so we drive right back home and she packs an overnight...turns out it was an UTI, which can be serious, but was released late yesterday and my wife came home last night.

Get well Buppies and Mr and Mrs Thomas!

Good Morning.
It’s 58 with A forecast high of 65 today, another perfect day to work outside.

Yesterday we did get our Medicare all set up to be full coverage with supplements after my Wife’s coverage from the hospital going away with her retirement. After that I put the Landpride 3PT mower on the tractor and mowed inside the pasture fences. After that, I put the loader on the tractor and my helper and I emptied the manure bin into the spreader and spread it.

After spreading about 20 loads, we went on to mend fences, finally calling it a day after the sun set.

Today will start off on the Lazer, finishing up inside the pastures, crew is coming around 10 to change one of the overhead door operators in the shop. After the mowing is done, I’m not sure what I’ll get into.

Morning all, moon is so bright it was washing out phone camera.
Did pick up stix yesterday, all in one pile to be moved by tractor now. Enough in the pile to build a decent sized tree.

BEF-Happy Birthday!
Paul-bet the cab is nice when you have a load of manure up front.

Stay safe and be well,

Where they came from, guess the lower stub is about 30-40 feet up.
the shoot that goes all the way up is the one causing the lean in the wrong direction.
Bull rope arrived yesterday, since I don't think wedges by themselves is going to push it enough.

Actually, the manure is pretty well aged and not to odiferous. Didn’t even have the climate control in recirculate.
But the cab is awesome plowing snow or mowing in the blistering heat.

Graves are only 6' deep. Please refill about 4'.

Yeah...I was hearing that a lot yesterday. I got a good pic of the Lord and the SO looking down on me, just in case something funny happens. And I backed it up too.

One can never be to careful with a Wife that knows how-to work equipment. ROTFL.

Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 5:15AM. Rain ending this morning. Breaks of sun in the afternoon. High near 65F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a half an inch. Locally heavier rainfall possible.
This latest storm started coming in at 4AM, and we've gotten a little more than half an inch of rain out of it so far. Knocked the satellite internet out for about a half hour, it was raining so hard. Still coming down pretty good, enough that I went out a bit ago and put a bucket under the skylight in the van. I noticed it dripping in the last storm, and will get a new gasket on order today.

Looks like some nice firewood there, Ken. Do you have a wood burner to feed with it?

Yesterday I cleared the 6 month wait for the CV19 booster, so I'm ready when the CDC/FDC sez it's OK. Soreness from Wednesday's shot is gone.

Not much housework done yesterday, unless you count a new batch of chili. Spent time in the garage pressing off transmission bearings and putting new ones back on. That was going well until I got a little to enthusiastic with the press and broke the brim off a top had shaped bushing. Got a new one on order.

Spent a little time looking for a replacement for the web editing software I've been using. Adobe wants upwards of $30/month for a subscription, more than it's worth to me for something I do for free. The Open Source alternatives I've found so far aren't very good, so I'm thinking I'll just dedicate a laptop and freeze it at the current version, and only use it for that purpose. Or maybe set up a virtual machine and install that system under it. I'm just too old a goat, and there's too much content, to migrate to WordPress or some other CRM, and I've had bad experience with them breaking at every update.

Welcome MrSIG!

TGIF gang!🍻

50°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 61° today. Looking like rain most of the weekend here.

Got a few things done around the house after work, then retired to the studio. Got some stuff done in there, but was kind of waiting on the neighbor across the road, who had asked for help yesterday moving some more things he was retrieving from his father's house over in Evansville IN. This time, it was a love seat and a rather heavy old grandfather clock. He got home around 9:30pm and it took no time to move them from the U-Haul trailer into his game room. Probably took me more time to walk over and back.

Happy Birthday, BEF.

Welcome to the GM thread, Mrsig.

49F and cloudy @ 09:30, heading up to a high of 54F with generally cloudy skies all day and slight chance of a rain shower.

Ten Day shows high temps mostly in the 50's with plenty of opportunities for rain (6 out of 10 days) and lots of cloud cover (only 1 day is "partly cloudy") Ground will stay wet.

Still lots of leaves on the trees ... probably still better than 50% left to come down. The amount of overcast predicted for this week will probably help that along some.

Last time I looked the Cub was @ 199.0 hours and that was before The Woman blew leaves/mowed the other day. So the oil needs changed again. And the underside of the deck still needs cleaned.

Probably going to be a mostly inside day cleaning and organizing, but might attempt to get out later on and get some more plants in the ground.

Also reset chipmunk traps if I see them out and about.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Friday ... (y)
