Got yard mowed, then most of field mowed before it got too dark. Did not mow back hill or creek bottom except for 1 pass.

House quiet with no kids home now.

Had almost 3000 pics on game camera over 5 days. Most was corn blowing in the wind. Did see some raccoon eyes glowing on some night pics.

64 right now...high about 90 today...

The pallet forks were delivered yesterday and they're in the bed of the Tacoma. My neighbor offered to lift them out with his Kioti, since he has pallet forks...definitely going to take him up on his offer!

good morning all.
nice sunny day today, high around 90 again.

off to get my Moderna booster shot this morning. It's only been five months since my last one and I think they recommend 8 months but who knows, will go and
find out. They will either give me the shot or not.

my sister in CA and her two boys and families were planning on flying East next month for big family get together. Not sure that is going to happen, she's pretty worried about
the grandchildren who aren't vaccinated yet. I haven't seen my sister in two years, really miss the contact

hope you all have a good day

Good morning! Clear skies, 76˚F heading to 100. Today will be the hottest day of our cool August as the high pressure dome above us moves and clouds start to come back tomorrow. The news media is getting excited about a tropical disturbance that might turn into hurricane Ida and hit Texas next week.

Trail work this morning in the neighborhood, taking lots of cold water and stopping before noon.

Kyle and wife happy 20th Anniversary!

Drew, If you do get your 8 month booster it probably would be a good idea to not plan anything tomorrow.

Mostly, our weekend new Covid cases hit yesterday also, 294 new cases reported yesterday only 29 reported Monday. One school has 400 kids infected and might be shutting down.

Don, thanks. Nothing planned.
Last time I just felt tired. And I'm only at five months. Will see if they give me the shot and hopefully someone there understands the science
behind this.
Since they refused to order the test confirming the presence of proper post vaccine antibodies, likely because Medicare doesn't want to pay for it, I have no idea
if the prior vaccines worked, other than the reaction I got to the second one. So am very confident it worked, but they say ten percent of the folks who had the chemo drug I did
a year ago did not produce the antibodies. So of course one wonders if you are in the ten percent. So to put this behind me, as far as possible....I'm all up for a booster shot if they
will give it to me.

wearing that KN95 mask for hours on end yesterday going through senior care homes was pretty miserable, in this summer heat the mask can get
hot and unpleasant. Both places I went to enforced mask rules for everyone indoors.

I think the infection rates are going to spike after the kids start back at school, and that will produce even more concern.

I read today that governor of Hawaii said for all tourists to stay away and not visit the islands. David, watch those happy hours downtown...

Drew, I saw at the lab Monday that the antibody test only cost $43.
For a cruise now, proof of being vaccinated and a covid test are both required. Antibody test are not considered.

Good Morning.
It’s 69 with a high of 92 forecast.

Yesterday was a hot one, hot enough that I got out of Huntington early, as passengers decided it was too hot to play golf with customers after their meeting. The high point of waiting in Huntington is going to lunch. There is a drug store with a soda fountain in nearby Kenova, WV. It dates back to the 1800’s, and they actually have good food.
Our early dismissal got me home in time to get some work in the shop.

Today’s trip to Maine canceled due to one of the people there having COVID. That means today will be a mowing day for me. I’ll work in the shop and let it continue to dry out until this afternoon, then I’ll give the AC in the Kubota a good workout. I’ll try to plan it around my helper’s nap time as well so he doesn’t miss his tractor time. I’ll probably chase the Lazer around first before it gets too hot, but I prefer to use the big Progressive first, and then hit what is left with the Lazer, it seems more efficient that way. That will depend on how things are going in the shop, and nap timing.

Good Morning!!!! 66F @ 5:00 AM. Sunny. High near 90F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
No smoke in the forecast today, but levels now are unhealthy for sensitive groups. The Caldor Fire burning toward Lake Tahoe is upwind of here now, with plenty of room for the smoke to dissipate somewhat before it gets here.

The number of CV19 cases here continues to spike, and now one of the local hospitals is reporting cases on its Facebook feed. Most of the cases are coming from unvaccinated people, no surprise there.

That floor came out nice, David. Always nervous about doing something for the first time.

Hope the booster goes OK for you, Drew. Thanks for being our canary in the coal mine.

Poured enough weld metal into the grizzly frame yesterday that I'm almost out of shielding gas. I'd like to wait until tomorrow to resupply while I'm in town for groceries anyway, so may need to switch to other jobs if the bottle goes flat today. Working on the sides now, and still have some cutting and fitting to do, as well as figure out how I'll prop things up to steady them for final assembly.

Happy Hump Day!

75°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 97° today. Car's dash display showed 99° when I was leaving the city yesterday.

Looks like our relief comes in the form of storms on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday.

Happy Anniversary Kyle! Good to hear he is getting better - at one point I was down to 70% O2-
Buppies-hope Dr. visit is all good news this time.
David (Sodamo) - floor looks great- really coming together now.

Stay safe and be well.

I was all set to buy the antibody test kit but docs said it was only 80 percent accurate. I guess you could take it twice...

this morning went off without a hitch, well organized by local hospital at their urgent care facility, asked two staff about only being 5 months out and was told
immediately "don't worry about it". ok.... we'll see how tomorrow morning looks.

Wide mix of folks in line, they had all three vaccines available, and one Karen got into it
with the guy next to me after he quietly asked me if I thought the vaccine pushback was politically minded, i.e. starting with a T, and this woman, who we were in no way talking to,
went ballistic, started yelling all kinds of crazy stuff, we almost had to call security. The volunteer went over and asked her to restrain herself. Geez, some genuinely crazy folks out there.
Hair triggers just waiting to be tripped. Woman had some serious anger management issues. She didn't have to worry about distancing, everyone promptly moved twice as far away from her
as possible.

now I have a couple hours of reading/studying for a school board orientation meeting tonight, thankfully zoom.

of interest, local supervisors now going back to hybrid/zoom meetings

Ken, cool hawk pic. Something was about to become lunch.

No shots here on doctor’s advice. Some patients that had a very bad time with Covid are at risk of significant reaction to the shot. My doctor is still advising caution as she feels there is sufficient risk of a severe reaction.
