80F and sunny @ 11:45, HI 84, heading up to a high of 84F. Chance of isolated thunderstorms tonight.

Was very hazy yesterday due to smoke from fires out west, probably similar today.

Got cylinder reassembled and put back on Kubota. Also greased loader and topped off hydraulic fluid.

Finished mowing the rest of the lower front.

Refilled hopper feeder.

Dug up remainder of hostas along west wall of shop and moved them down into the woods by the creek crossing. Still a few more of those invasive shrubs to pop out before we can prep the bed along the west wall of the shop and plant it.

Nice having a functional loader again.

More yellow squash harvested yesterday by The Woman.

Not sure what all is on the agenda today, but Woman reports one side of kitchen sink has a leak so that's likely the first thing on the list.

She is also likely to be "hot to trot" to get that northwest planting bed mulched now that it's been weeded.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

See Don’s suggestion or
If you have to come from under, I have sometimes built a 2x frame of sorts. If fact, for my upcoming greenhouse project I plan on using the forks to lift/hold in place until fully supported. That will require a frame the full length and 5-6 ft out from forks. I’ll fasten to the forks with metal bands for stability.

It’s 18 ft long, has to be unrolled as it’s lifted down(unless I cut it off at the top). Will need to be hand rolled going back up, as the top of awning gets slid into the track, then the tube installed at the bottom. The spring is fastened in place during this. Other end of tube contains the motor.

I’ve watched every YouTube video there is. None with my model. Maybe extending then removing is better. Then spring will be wound.
The plan is to remove the motor end from the tube once it’s down.

67°F and .28 inches rain.

Back in the Caretaker unit taping and mudding. Probably about 1/2 done 1st run. Sure wish I had one of those machines like on You tube but no, just hand application with putty knife. At least it’s looking good

90 now and quite humid.
Put the other new axle in the Toro and cleaned the grass off everything, my valve stem replacement seems to have fixed the tire leak.
My father in law helped with that and cleaning up the garage.
That’s another story, a situation has come and he is staying with us for a while, maybe longer not sure yet. He’s had some issues living by himself, since his wife is in the nursing home and his disabled daughter died last year. There’s a lot at his place that has to be tended, his grandson has his dog. The outdoor cats have to be fed, and he has several large buildings full of antiques, collectibles, tractors, carriages and countless other things, plus 36 acres of soybeans. I think his neighbor is going to tend the crop, but that leaves a lot to be done.
I don’t mind him being here, we just have to make some adjustments. I won’t mind having the help on things.

TOP, I'm sure you will weather this just fine but prayers for your family and FIL anyway.

After 65 years I can say that half of life is making adjustments and the other half is showing up. So if we keep showing up and adjusting we will probably do just fine. Look at the cockroach.

Some woman traveller who was fully vaccinated came to Queensland from down south and brought the Covid with her. It is now beginning to spread in Queensland thanks to her. Hope they can stop it asap.

Ordered a new bore (well) pump to come this week. Old one has a faulty foot valve and drains back. Putting a bigger one in this time.
