wish I got that lucky with my truck Alien, there were zero in local inventory. Still are... Congrats on new ride.

this is for Mostly:
It wouldn't go very fast but what a hoot

looks like rain is clearing out in a few hours, about half what was expected.
then some more showers tonight but definitely bulk of storm system stayed further off shore.

I see a flower pot blown over, so must have had a little wind last night.

62F raining 70 for high clearing during evening hours,it's been good soaking rain in which was needed.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Due to soggy weather call Kubota dealer cancel than reschedule for complete service next Friday, just could xee the tech getting wet and maybe muddy than returning to dealer shop party at 2pm..foreman said BIG thank you for that.
All outside project cancel because of rain least to 3pm,so grocery shopping for the Mrs. fuel for pickup and mowers, stop for kitty food treats and critter food all before noon,if dry enough try mow side field, date night with the Mrs.

Enjoy your day all.

Not too recently, but I'm on Lisinopril BP meds which can cause a dry cough

Good evening all. 73F for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light wind again today, sky cleared off and high temp was 93F, HI 100F, DP 69F. Turning on irrigation system, rain in forecast is drying up :(. Bike ride this morning, conserve energy and nap this afternoon. Dinner with stepdaughter to celebrate my birthday, got new MP3 player :)

Good Morning!!!! 79F @ 4:30AM. Sunny. High 109F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Glad to hear that the rain from the east coast storm has been mostly welcomed.

Saw on the news last night there'd been an earthquake near the little town of Walker, CA yesterday afternoon, and another one at the same time near Dardanelle on the other side of the Sierra Nevada. That whole area was shakin' as shown in this table put up by the USGS. US395 was closed while boulders were removed from the road, but no injuries have been reported. I was just through both of those places on a trip last month. Didn't feel a thing here, but I might have napped through it.

The Sugar Fire burning north of here continues to burn out of control, nearly doubling in size yesterday. High temperatures, strong wind, and low humidity aren't helping things. And now word comes down that we're well ahead of last year's disastrous fire season, with more fires and more acreage lost year to date. More signs of the approaching apocalypse.

Yesterday's new buyer was right on time, but had a problem counting. Handed me a wad that was $15 short saying he didn't have change. I did, that old trick never works on me. Saw started on first pull, and off he went. Spent rest of the afternoon running errands, but came home short a few PVC fittings. Also got something in my left eye, which swelled almost shut, so it was an interesting drive home. It's pretty itchy, so it could be an allergy thing. Still badly swollen this morning, so I might take a Benedryl to see if that helps.

Gonna see what I can get done outside before the temps get to be too much, then try online to get the parts I need.

TGIF, gang!🍻

Well I got pleasantly roped into a weeding session at the church, good time after a rain, going over for a few hours to weed flower gardens, or until
my back gives out. I'm just glad to be outside.

Good morning! Another pic like Eric's that make us really appreciate Ron's talent. There are hundreds of these frogs on the trail. The tadpoles must of all hatched. No blue circle but look under the white piece of mulch.

Good morning! 74˚F heading to the mid 80's, cloudy, good chance of rain. 1/4" again yesterday.
Worked on the irrigation system in the yard yesterday. Raise a sprinkler head 2.5" with an extension so it would be above the level of the grass when activated. Still waiting for the grass to dry to mow.

2.08” rain and a couple of gusts around 30. Most of the day they had the centerline passing very near me, but it ended up about 12 miles west. I slept through most of it. A lot of standing water but not much else, thankfully.

I’m going to change the front tires in the Toro, it has those square edged slicks like my Simplicity had and they tear up loose or sandy ground in true zero turns. My Kubota had round shouldered straight tread on the front and they worked great. I’m going to put that style on this mower.
I don’t care if they are smooth or straight tread as long as they’re rounded sidewall.

I haven’t seen a snake this year, hope I didn’t jinx myself. The only venomous snakes on the Eastern Shire are copperheads. Not sure why we don’t have rattlers and cottonmouths.

Buppies enjoy your time away from work and hope that hand heals well.
Roy I hope you get the cough fixed.
Everyone with troubles, in other words all of us, lay them in the hands of the man.

Morning all, enough rain that I'll need to drain down the pool, again.

TXDon- FIY+ does have a streaming service, but need a subscription...
Alien - congrats on the new truck! and new tools too.
Mostly - Happy Birthday! 🎂
Drew - copper is usually green, have fun weeding amongst friends.
RNG - hope the eye swelling goes away...With all the fires, the water tank will be nice to let you sleep at night.
Randy- more snakes? We have seen a lot of larger Garter snakes, but not much else this year. Not even corn snakes. and very few frogs, which is very unusual. Those frogs really blend in.

Uncle goes in for hip replacement today-he seemed pretty excited, no more wheel chair from botched first operation would get him off the deeply frustrated list.

Stay safe and be well.

I may just see if I can do a trial subscription to get the show. So many subscriptions available, could probably spend $400 a month and still no have them all :-0

Good Morning
It’s 69 with a high of 83 today. Rain has passed, leaving a bit over an inch. Might get some showers this afternoon, we’ll see.

Yesterday was a hot and humid one, dodged quite a few thunderstorms, several short power outages. Got a lot done in the shop, trimmed some trees with my son. Used the Makita pole saw and chainsaw, while the trusty Stihl sat on the sidelines and watched.

I’ve got to say that I’m very impressed with the Makita saws. Obviously the chainsaw would not be for a whole day of curtting, but for stop and start chores around the homestead, it’s perfect.

Today will be mostly in the shop, I’m trying to get two speakers done for a pickup on Sunday.

66°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 90° today. Cool front coming through tonight, bringing some storms and rain all weekend, but also temps in the upper 70s.

Happy Birthday, Mostly_.

Happy Birthday Mostly! I hope you had a great day.....what to load up on your mp3 player???? Do you load fast paced rock for pedal motivation? :)

73°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 86° today.

One of our supervisors at work is pretending he has no idea how to set up cold saws for parts we've been making for years. So, the company president asked me to do it for him to avoid the impending drama. I worried about this happening when I had to set up and run the mill last week, and now this guy is milking it. I'm not having to run the parts through the saw, but I am having to babysit the operator (new guy, who should be supervised by his supervisor) for this very picky customer. I have little patience for workplace drama, and that supervisor will probably like me much less before the day is over.

Honestly, Mostly_, I do miss playing live. I don't however, miss any of the BS that goes with it on the business side of music. I keep telling myself I might get back into it, but then most of my friends post their trials and tribulations on Facebook every week and remind me why I gave it up.
It seems you need to be teaching the supervisor how to use it. but, but, but....I know, been there. Every shop has it's "personalities". I have learned to take a calm approach with people to try and reason with them why they should do something....if that doesn't work, I write them up. LOL. only happened a few times in my career.

Been watching Rick Beato on youtube. Talented musician/studio guy.

Randy, hope you get the tires you need for your new mower, and that they're not too pricey.

Roy and Drew, let us know how whatever brand of noise cancelling you end up with, and how they compare to the Sonys. My pair works really well, cancelling out a large percentage of road noise in a vehicle, but allowing to hear others speak reasonably well.

Prayers for our team, and our country.

some big ones in there...
I believe these are called Cherokee Purple; have about six different kinds in that jungle.

weeded flower gardens for an hour at church, got one section done, said that's enough for today.

Well, he doesn't work for me, so it's not my place to discipline him. If it were, he would have been gone long ago.
Been watching Rick Beato on youtube. Talented musician/studio guy.
I follow a small handful of people on YouTube, and Rick is one of them. The content he puts out on a regular basis is really fantastic stuff. His "What Makes This Song Great" series is outstanding, where he examines songs under a microscope, picking the multi-track recordings apart piece by piece to show how it all comes together and why it works so well.

In addition to his exceptional talent, he also has decades of experience in the industry as a producer and engineer.

68°F and no rain

Today will be another broken up day. Late morning appointments for us both at our primary care in Honokaa for Wellness Exam. Not sure what that is as they called us to schedule. Hoping it’s what I normally think of as yearly check up. No coffee or breakfast as am hoping it includes fasting blood test. Guess we should have asked. By the time that is finished we’ll likely drive to Waimea for lunch or at least DQ. Will be mid afternoon at best when we get home.

Gals won H&F again last night evening series to 7/7. We did have a slight lead at one point but it was fleeting. Spaghetti and meatballs, cheddar and garlic biscuits were great.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
