84 and the first rain just hit with a bang.
The storm path centerline is directly over the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, which is about 2.5 miles from my front door as the crow flies.
Tropical storm warning and flash flood watch.

I have both a clicker and bar style torque wrenches, both are older than my kids but work great.
I never use them to break anything loose.

I mowed the grass with my new to me Toro ZTR this morning. Moe’s great and took me an hour and thirty five minutes. It’s 50”, my tractor has a 60” deck and it takes 2 hours minimum. I missed not having a zero turn since I sold my Kubota 2 years ago. I thought mowing with the tractor would help justify its cost, but I don’t need to, we use it for stuff all the time. If this Toro gets me through this year I might just sell it and buy a higher quality machine like my Kubota was. I’m too old to justify everything, I just want to enjoy it and make it easier.

My former Snap On dealers and good friend, started his route in 1963 and retired in 2013. I dealt with him from 1975 until he retired. He stopped by in his 1936 Chevy pickup a couple of weeks ago.

Randy, glad the Toro worked well for you.

got home after PT and it's clouding up pretty good, Weather Underground won't load for me. Pretty sure that rain will get here in a few hours.
I left the car outside so it could get a free bath. Forecast says tropical storm conditions so that ought to give it a little scrub. Radar still won't load, they must be having
a site problem. Weather.com works though, rain is hours off.

68F light rain 10 mph plus wind most of the time.

Got outside early to get couple things done but mother nature was waiting for me with on/off down pours, but was able to get side field trim ready for mowing hope to dot it before dark if not tomorrow.
While trimming mother Doe step out from the woods about 15 yards and and did the stare down  notice the twins fawns slowly sneaking away than mother Doe,thought for sure at one point I'll get my butt kick.

Not much plan for this evening feet up pillow time early busy day tomorrow.

Enjoy your evening all.

Kind of a bittersweet story. My wife wrote into the show a year or so before my FIL sold the house. He passed a few months later and it seems the show contacted the new owners and did the filming with them. Never contacted us, found out from a friend in town. His house was right on river road across from the river, it was in too rough a shape for us to afford buying and renovating.

We don't have DIY+, so wife wrote the show to see if we can get a copy of the program from them.

A little warmer this morning even though we are getting good rain. Supposed to clear by tomorrow. I hope it does. I want to fly my RC planes at the club.
Going to put an offer on a new Ranger this morning. Several dealers are all close in price. Did a lot of ringing around yesterday. Dealers are tough at the moment as there is a very long wait time of about 4 months or more. It took my buddy 9 months to get a new Isuzu D Max.
There is a silver Ranger XLT available if I am quick, as a guy pulled out of the deal at the last moment. Wife wanted red but just none around. I prefer silver anyway. It was first choice. No Wildtraks around at all.
Our Mustang is red anyway so she should be happy. I haven't been able to pick the Mustang up yet due to covid lock-downs but should be OK on Monday/Tuesday at long last. Just as well our Honda is still going well.

Randy, glad your Toro is going well. We need a ride-on with a catcher. Our Husqvarna hasn't got one and no longer available for them. It is over 20 years old now and only ever had to replace a spark plug, blades, battery and spindle bearings. Kawasaki twin engine in it. It has been a brilliant machine.

Tried to ring my buddy yesterday but the message kept coming his phone was not connected so I left a message on his mobile. He rang later in the day and said he had the other landline removed as it was always breaking down and he was sick of it. His iPhone only works in some areas on his farm so not sure how he is going to manage that. Maybe he needs a repeater.

My wife spent hours last night looking up accessories and wheels for the new Ranger. (if we get it) She said, "well if it is silver I want to put some colour on it" ??? We will see. :) Wife is still not well but must be improving to be taking so much interest. She still has Laryngitis so it has been quite peaceful around here.
That's about it for the moment so have a great night/day all.

Only took about 3/4 bag of quikcrete, but still PITA work

My sauce and meatballs smell very tempting, or is it my garlic butter? Hard to believe still another 4 hours until we eat.

That is impressive. I do not have cable TV. Is there any way to stream it?

Honestly, Mostly_, I do miss playing live. I don't however, miss any of the BS that goes with it on the business side of music. I keep telling myself I might get back into it, but then most of my friends post their trials and tribulations on Facebook every week and remind me why I gave it up.

Ii feel that pain. I haven’t played for a live audience since before COVID. I’m fortunate that we have virtually no drama in the band, other than my frustration with dealing with some of the technical aspects of getting ready to play out. We will be playing at a local fair in about 2 weeks which I’m looking forward to.

Ford Ranger XLT (Silver) Got a good deal so I bought it. Pick it up Tuesday. Real short supply here and I was lucky that a bloke that ordered it changed his mind. Otherwise I would have had to wait a few months.

Looks like Elsa will slide by to the East, sorry Randy. 98% humidity.

Garden sure did grow in the week we were gone.

Yard is very tall but too wet.

Good evening all. 73F for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light wind again today, sky cleared off and high temp was 93F, HI 100F, DP 69F. Turning on irrigation system, rain in forecast is drying up :(. Bike ride this morning, conserve energy and nap this afternoon. Dinner with stepdaughter to celebrate my birthday, got new MP3 player :)
Covid update: Cooke 3248 confirmed cases, 4 active cases, Montague 1794 confirmed cases, 4 active cases, Grayson, 11374 confirmed cases, 13 active cases.
RS nice temps on the way
Roy thanks for the video
Drew agreed, much harder to use some devices because no buttons or knobs
Scaredy, good to hear you got some rain. Hope you get some more.
Drew how do you use headphones with a brim like that.
Ron interesting they can find a place to reproduce in small pond. neat story and pic
Don nice work and pics
Don glad you could limp home and fix it so quick
Billy glad you got clearance to do a bit more. Hope you don't wash away
Drew nothing like tool or plant shopping, is there :)
Paul glad you don't have a poisonous snake issue, they are quit common in the Ozarks, and a few here as well.
Drew material and diameter are chosen so extension will twist before overtorquing
Eric on a fence post. Sweating is something I understand very well.
RNG I rather have the torque wrenches :)
RNG good to hear progress on plumbing the fire hydrant, hope new buyer works out
Ken good to hear benches will turn out ok. Glad deer off is working. nice pic
PJ most places frown on QA people being too involved in the actual production process including setup. Plant manager should insist super be out there to learn!! It is a shame so much BS for bands just to play 😱🤬
David good luck with biscuits, yes they should be softer than Quickcrete :)
RS enjoy your inside day.
Randy hope you don't wash away either. If you like the Toro, whay not keep it? how many hours a year will you put on it?
Drew glad Helga has not hurt you too much yet .
Thomas sound like the fawns were on your side :)
Ken hope you can get copy of the show.
Doug good luck with truck, glad wife is better
Dennis hope you can mow soon, glad garden is well

60° right now...high in the mid-70's and rain. We didn't near the original forecast, but it was nice steady rain...maybe an inch.

Boy, I've had a dry cough for about a week now. Wifey gave me some cough drops that seem to alleviate the cough somewhat

Lining myself up to do some work on the house so I hope my back allows it. Went to Bunnings and shouted myself some new toys.
Cordless mitre drop saw, cordless leaf blower. (Sick of dragging cords around) cordless impact wrench (rattle gun) and a Ryobi battery powered grease gun. (at long last)

   / Good morning!!!! #135,458
good morning all
raining lightly, .74 so far, and continuing today on and off.
With the exception of the three new trees/shrubs that's enough water to make the flowers and veggies happy.

this house is so small I thought I could keep up with the cleaning myself. Think I'm going to treat myself to a house cleaning every two weeks, like
I did before. Cleaning baseboards and other bend all the way over tasks are not easy for me. And cleaning behind the toilet is clearly a job we would all
like someone else to do....

And having said that on a rainy day that's what I'll be doing this morning, vacuuming, mopping, etc.

I have a big green stain near the drain on my shower/tub. Does green mean too much iron? too acid?
I need to get a water filter system here like I had before too.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 57° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 75 with some sunshine in afternoon. Got another .75" rain yesterday. Put a 5th coat of varnish on table top yesterday. Only need to install new sliders on table legs.
IMG_7915 (2).jpg
Grocery shopping today with my Aunt. She will be spending the day with me. No plans on what we will be doing.
Enough with the rain. Trying to get dry.

Alien, good you got turck to carry new toys in. ;)

Buckeye, glad rain went east.

Roy, have you changed meds lately. One of the ones I was taking caused a dry cough.

Mostly, pond is 12' X 16'. Goldfish seem to like the size and rock to hide behind.

Eric, I was able to spot squirrel on post. But could not tell what it was eating.

Randy, glad to hear Toro works good.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.
