Good Morning!!!! 76F @ 4:30AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 103F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Excessive Heat Warning will expire tonight, but the 10-day sez the daily highs will continue to flirt with the century mark. Yesterday afternoon going up to get the mail, I think I heard the concrete sizzling.
Beautiful gate work, Bird. What kind of phone did you get?
Got several responses to the Facebook ad for the car port frame, and set up a meet for yesterday morning at 9:30 to sell it. Then I remembered that what's left of the tarp that goes with it was underneath one of the rows of firewood that had fallen over. Had to move about half a cord of wood to free it up, and had just enough time left to get it all loaded and make the meeting time. The buyer had no such worries; the idiot showed up 20 minutes late. But at least he showed up, and he had the money.
I spent another couple hours restacking the firewood when I got home, finishing up at lunch time, and thoroughly fried by the sun. Mr. Back wasn't too happy, either. Lunch and a nap helped a lot.
Found a guy at a plumbing supply house that actually sounded like he knew what he was talking about and placed an order for the poly pipe. Sounds like they carry the fittings, too, and maybe even the parts I need to hook up the fire truck. I redid my sketches of what I think the hookup looks like, and will take them along when I go to town tomorrow to see what's what.
Meanwhile, I checked in with my pump and well expert, and he's chasing down the gauge for the sensor wire that will control the well pump based on the level of the upper tank. I'll swing by his shop tomorrow and pick up the sensor itself.
More telephone time today to chase down the conduit for the electrical stuff. I wanna run Ethernet up to the new tank, too, and install some kind of vault half way up so I can branch off a line up to the cul-de-sac after fire season when it's safe to trench again.
I also need to chase down the order for the repurposed billboard tarp. It was supposed to be here Sunday. Good thing I don't have anything else to do...
