61 to 74˚F perfect temp for brush clearing this morning. We open up this area for three picnic tables near the park entrance. Total brush haul out was 14 trailers full (stacked high with grapple pushing it down). We had a lot of good limb haulers this morning so I could continue cutting. The building in the background is the park entrance building, the pay window will be overlooking this picnic area. It was requested that we leave the mustang grape vines for the kids to play on.

MoKelly....
"Kitty is on my lap getting his cheeks rubbed. I just fed him and gave him new water. He won’t drink old water. He needs to see it coming from the tap.

Dogs will drink 4 day old rain from a sidewalk crack but this cat needs fresh tap water every drink. Shake my head! Good thing he is cute.

He got you wrap around his little paw and knows it. ;)

48 and raining, 1.4" the last 24 hrs (y) (y)

Not much been going on this past week just enjoying life, puttering around and watching natures miracle of spring blooms! Roast chicken and a few cold ones for supper. No news on the kitty search, it will happen when its right. This was Gus our mouser supreme, he had the extra toes on all four feet and was always in stealth mode. He was another one who liked drinking from a running faucet and if you ever dared to scratch his belly you paid the price. :D

Enjoy what's left of the day

Good morning, the wind has calmed down nicely, shower clouds passing by slow enough to be able anticipate when to go out for ten minutes without getting too wet.
When deciding what seed to buy for vegetables, my wife goes for best flavour instead of size. She was surprised how large the last few parsnips have grown.

On the subject of moving, I never thought in my younger years that I would ever leave Yorkshire, the county I grew up in and where I lived until 2012. I had no desire to leave, it was just that after years of trying, the realisation that I was running out of time to find the right piece of land to buy. Very few came up for sale and someone with deeper pockets always offered more than I could afford.

One of the best decisions of my life was to be prepared to search wider and eventually move to a different part of the country. Moving away from the place you have lived a long time is a risk, I was lucky that it all worked out. Sometimes you just have to try things without knowing all the answers to how life will unfold.

Don, if you do move again, will you still be looking for the same sort of community living ?
You must have rich soil Eric.
