Just had another 3/4” downpour to go with last nights 1”. We needed the rain and I got my grass mowed just in time. Here’s three of my four kitties.

Wife got the kitty to and from the vet without incident. Probably the first time ever. Lately he likes to sleep in the corner by the door to the side porch.

NWS officially declared we had a tornado Monday night just a couple miles south of me. Mostly damaged trees and some power lines.

Spent several hours on Zoom meeting last night with hundreds of other members of my church in the Philadelphia area, all about getting
our places of worship open again. I left the meeting depressed, so many want to talk things to death and not be solution oriented. They are just now starting
to prepare a guidance document for all the Meetings, only about 5 months late. Some Meetings already have them written internally, but the "home office" folks want to
start from scratch and started asking "what should be in this document"?. For a super inclusive church, we are having a very hard time dealing with requiring vaccination for inside service, even
temporarily. Until the Covid count drops appreciably more, I'm all for excluding non vaccinated folks and let them meet, as we now do, outside for an outside Meeting. or Zoom. Take your pick.

Have a committee of about 5 people come up with guidelines for the church as if no one has had the vaccine. 6 ft spacing between families, no touch, and face mask. I would not even consider trying to separate vaccinated from non vaccinated. Remember the best vaccine is 95% effective so 1 in 20 vaccinated will get covid. J&J is 66% effective so one in three will get covid.

Men's meeting to start, then went fishing.Landed one sunfish on flyrod, had nice fish on flyrod but lost him before I got him to the boat. fish sem to be hanging deeper, try again tomorrow.
Covid update: Cooke 3180 confirmed cases, 16 active cases, Montague 1753 confirmed cases, 2 active cases, Grayson, 11285 confirmed cases, 18 active cases, local not updated.

Ron Glad Dr visit went well. Watch the blade closely for uneven wear. When I did a lot of band saw work, blade and operator were most important

Our church went back to meeting in person LAST May. Took about a 20 min discussion among the church Elders. We lost 1 family who didn’t want to wear mask, but gained several more due to the fact we were meeting together.

Poured first cup of coffee. 30° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 54° with rain late morning an afternoon. Got lawn cut. But it was chilly while doing it. Did get drone out and took video sand pictures of neighbors place. I chipped up 4 large pine trees for them last week. They got it all spread. Took a different picture of my place while flying.

Still scanning my 60 + year collection of photos and film. Added a new scanner to tools. A Epson V600. Should be able to do all the older film from my Mothers and Dads collection with it.
Do not see rabbits at my place very often.

All the cat pictures and stories are great. Sassy has made friends with neighbors 3 cats. Follows them everywhere except up trees.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Mostly, bet it was fun catching one on the flyrod.

We used to have lots of cats...none in last 25 years, except visitors from the farmer across the road, and feral ones.

I asked my wife what she wanted for Mother's Day..."a load of gravel for the driveway." Well, she got an early Mother's Day gift yesterday. I met a dump truck driver who lives just a few miles away when getting a load of mulch recently and he brought 8 tons of 57s yesterday at 8:30. I got a few hours of seat time spreading it and hand raking it to make it nice for her. Then mowed until the T-storm ran me in again. Nice timing on the rain to settle the little bit of dust on the gravel.

In all the years we've lived here I've always driven the pickup, or pulled the trailer up the the local quarry and then shoveled and raked the gravel by hand where ever it was needed. I remember my first load in the bed of my little Toyota HiLux...2,300 lbs and rode on the rubber stops the whole way home at about 30mph...Only cost $4 and tax. So much nicer just dropping the 3 pt. landscape rake and pulling a couple of hundred pounds at a time across the whole driveway, never touching the shovel.

48 going up to 68 today, nice sunny day.
looks like the potatoes grew two inches in last day or two and snap peas about a foot.
fun to watch the peas send out tendrils, always on the move, up...

hvac guy coming today to start job of adding a/c to this cottage and then a noon visit to dentist.
Not looking forward to latter, they always seem to find something and after the latest root canal I'm not
looking forward to more excitement.

Good morning, low 30 high 52°F. Wind NW 5 mph. Sunny now but a 60% chance of rain and maybe a T-storm.

My grass needs cutting badly, but it will still be there on the weekend when it will be sunny.

A dump run and town is in the cards for today. After that, energy conservation.

Nice rabbit, Ron. Where there is one there are more. Do you like rabbit stew? Nice looking place, too.
