When cat wags it's tail doesn't always has the same meaning as dog.
When a cat wags its' tail it is really pissed. A cat walking with tail straight up and a little hook at the tip it is happy. Also when you hear a cat pounding its' feet when trotting or running it is happy.
Some cats do like their belly rubbed gently, but when it puts its' front paws on the 'offending hand' take heed. The next thing they do IF you don't pay attention is put a hind foot against your hand. If you still keep it up be prepared to pay in blood. They told you twice to stop and you didn't, well you will now. Chomp and rake your hand in with the front paws and tear you apart with the hind ones.

Wow what a wake up this a.m. 6.45 and a big thunderstorm raging. Pouring rain. Both my Internets were down.
I got the Mobile broadband going by re-booting it but the Satellite won't work because of the heavy rain. Only 64 deg F but seems a lot warmer. Dogs ventured out just before bucketfuls of rain. Well into Autumn it seems. My wife said she will never complain about cold winters again after the last few summers we have had. Pretty unbearable at times.
Hope everyone is OK and healthy (or heading that way fast)

To Bird's point, though, every time I've driven through the DFW area, traffic has been a nightmare. All the perpetual construction on the LBJ doesn't help either. The worst was passing through on a Friday evening when there was a Mavericks and a Stars game in town, and it was raining. Berated ourselves for not choosing 35W for that trip.

The worst I ever encountered is Atlanta. That place is crazy! I’ve never been to Dallas.

We drove thru at 10pm Sunday (thought we would have no traffic) and it was still bumper to bumper going 75 mph!

My goodness.

That sounds an awful lot like the gray fox barking. It makes several sounds, and that is very much like one of them.

Could very well have been a fox of some type. I've only seen red around here, but grey foxes are native.

Dunno if I ever mentioned it on here or not, but I noticed what appears to be entrance holes to a den in the large pile of topsoil at the northwest corner of the upper yard.

Might slo account for that pile of feathers from a good-sized bird I saw the other day up at the northwest corner of the shop.

Might be time for that game camera ...

We are considering waynesboro va area. That way we are still near her mom when she needs help. I want to be near skyline for hiking.
Great area. I'd look there...almost anywhere in the valley would suit me. We have friends that moved to H'burg last year and are loving it.

It's called Deer Scram.

I just sent them an email asking for instructions, and if they'll honor their guarantee if I can't get it to work.

They added an extra R.

You're making me hungry. I just came in from mowing - T-storm ran me in...was a bad one.

I was in rain on way home, but bad storms down your way.

We are getting back to pre covid stop and go traffic.

Consider long and hard before NH,no sale tax but the property taxes are soaker.

Not going that way, either Oh farm, southwest VA, East TN.

I hate the thought of moving, all the work, all the stuff to get rid of.

It was foggy and wet when I woke and the fog hung around until 10:30am I looked out at 11 and the sun was out. The weather report was for cloudy with showers all afternoon. I took a chance and went up to the farm to mow the lane. About as nice an afternoon as you could imagine. Lately I have trouble judging the weather from the weather report. I am still enjoying mowing but by August I suppose the thrill will be gone.

The demand for shots is tailing off here. The county commissioners are thinking about closing the vaccination center. I read a story that said that we probably won't get to herd immunity. I am not sure what that will mean.

Hope you are all enjoying Spring.

Chris

I’ve been telling people last 15 years that my next move will be my last and I won’t have to pack.

Our current home is longest place both wife and I ever lived either as kids or adults.

I’m with you. We moved a year ago and both my wife and I agreed that was the last.

We got a main level bedroom so hopefully no reason to move again.

Fourth option is stay here, but I need to build a first level bed and bath. My next house will be 1 level with basement.

Good evening all. 59F for the start, breezy, overcast
, trace of rain in rain gauge. Sky cleared off early afternoon, got windy, and high was 70F. Wind is going to be light nexr couple of days should get some fishing in :). Bike ride early this morning to beat the wind. Trip to town for grocery shopping and lunch. Nap and work on squeaky front screen door, The top of the door was rubbing on frame. Now closes better if main door open or screen open.
