We went out to eat, the first time since last year, at a Mexican grill - Chipotle's - they did not have any onions or peppers, they really don't belong in Texas with no peppers and onions. I did find out I'm a much better Chef.
.

I got a bowl at chipotle Thursday after my 2nd COVID vaccine. They still doing only takeout, dine in still closed. They had peppers and onions, yum. it was so good.

Went out after it started cooling off and planted most of garden. 2 more rows corn, 3 rows potatoes, 3 rows of green beans, onions, cabbage, cantaloupe. Still need peppers and tomatoes.

That wore me out. Wanted to get it in before rain tomorrow. We need rain, been dry.

Got trash and recycling out.

85.8° today, almost yearly high. Now 70°

Don, congrats on Hand & Foot. We’ll have to compare notes as I suspect we play same game but different ways. For us we meld at 50, 90, 120, 150, 120, 90, & 50 points, so that takes us a couple hours.

67F and partly cloudy @ 22:45, heading down to an overnight low of 59F.

Got gas on way home, skipped the sandwich.

Friend came over to inspect the Cub Cadet after I got back from getting the shot. His son has started a lawn care business and is looking at hiring and expanding so may be shopping for mowers. Friend was fairly impressed with the Cub (build quality, etc.)

Got pretty much all the mowing done, except for a little trimming out front which can wait. Used the Cub down here around the house, Kubota with MMM out front. Took just under 4 hours.

All the cores stood out, now that they had a chance to dry a little. I may run over the entire lawn again, after this next round of rain.

Ordered a Chapin 8620B 150lb tow-behind spreader (with "Auto-stop") last night, should be here sometime between Tuesday and Thursday - which should work out well, as far as the rain forecast goes.

Also did some research last night on the USDA NRCS website and found that almost all the lawn area (except for a small section near the back) lies within the "Wooster silt loam" complex (which is classified as Dry Acidic Till Plains)

I actually knew that from when we were considering putting in a pond and had the the local guy from Ohio Soil and Water Conservation out, just couldn't remember the exact name. (Back edge of the property is the Canfield Silt Loam complex)

Would assume that means the soil tends towards the acidic, but I still need to test it.

The Woman brought home chow from TGIFridays. I thought what I had was good, but they didn't cook her burger correctly (was supposed to be "Medium" and was still red inside ... (n))

Got downstairs fish fed this evening after dinner (finally)

Arm is sore from the shot, but no worse than the last time.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

RS sounds like a lot of rain

Just 1.3 inches over three days is all they are calling for.

Of course that could vary quite a bit - if one happens to be under a cell in a thunderstorm ... ;)

Those pancake sure sound awfully good ... (y)

Coffee is done brewing. 60° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 64° with rain most of the day. Found a good deal for a Ridgid Sewer Snake on Facebook Marketplace. Picked it up in the morning. Put tiller on tractor and tilled a garden for neighbor. Got to watch some NASCAR. Wrong car won. Today will do some house cleaning while it is raining.

Drew, I had same surgery on my right shoulder in 2018. Took a lot longer to heal than I thought it would. Took 6 months before I could sleep comfortably in a bed. Electric recliner was the best place for sleep. I used a DonJoy Ice machine with shoulder pad for pain. Hooked it to a remote to make it easy to turn on and off. Dr wanted me to use it for 20 minutes at a time. PT was tuff but it helped a lot.

Randy, good you are getting better.

Kyle, it is a Red Winged Blackbird. First Oriole was at feeders on Friday.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

good morning all.
much cooler day with rain coming in this afternoon, and then stronger rain and storms tonight.
Thomas, that is quite a large friend you have made.

electrician coming early this morning to finish the job and I will test the portable gen connection and make
sure it all works like before. Hopefully then hvac guy will come this week and I'll be set for the summer. Little window unit
in living room yesterday plus a big floor fan worked pretty well. I'll be happy to pull it out and shut that window again, looks like a sure route
for adventurous bugs to get inside through cracks.

shoulder still very sore, more tylenol today I guess. And maybe more icing, thanks Ron.
